Paul Alhart in California does an excellent repair job. Oops just noticed you are in the UK...That's a lot of shipping dough. -
Atarimax Flashcart 1MB OS-B Fixes?
Paul Westphal replied to ballyalley's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Go to atarionline.pl and try the .xex versions. There is usually 1 to 6 versions each of the more popular games. One of them should work. -
Price Increase in Atari 8-Bit Games?
Paul Westphal replied to Illtiger1's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Yes. 8 bit has been going up and up over the last year. If you want to start collecting start looking at garage sales, local retro game shops and lots on Ebay. The blue box XE games ( good ones ) are disappearing fast. Try also 4jay's for used, Best Electronics, Video61 and B & C Computervisions for new ones. Hunting for them is the fun part! It's like a box of chocolates... Looking for 8 bitters, I found a very rare 2600 guardian for $3 and sold for $80.00 ( then of course I spent the money at Best Electronics ) -
Atari 7800 & 2600 adapter for atari 5200 value ?
Paul Westphal replied to Sean1's topic in Rarity Guide
Wow. Never seen one of those... -
It's true. The people that " rare it up " take advantage of buyers that are out to make a buck and don't know any better...Not true collectors like us here. I use 3 sites to gauge rarity and prices ( for 8 bit ). Atarimania, Digital Press and videogames.pricecharting.com.

There are two different style carts of the same game. The first is black or brown colored cart, the second is a re-release that is grey cart with blue label ( XE ) which is a bit harder to find. Both contain the same program. It is considered to be THE best home version as it contains ALL 4 SCREENS from the arcade.

Iron Soldier 2 on cartridge...worth the money?
Paul Westphal replied to Gamer888's topic in Atari Jaguar
Go with the cart version. It will hold and gain more value than the CD version and are more durable. Just an example... My 8 bit games are worth WAY more than their disk counterparts. -
2013: What is the most graphically impressive jaguar game?
Paul Westphal replied to Jakandsig's topic in Atari Jaguar
What? No Trevor Mcpoop? -
Was it IBM that made the drives as well?

If it ever gets finished, it looks like it will be one of the prettiest shooters yet. Interactive backgrounds would be cool...hidden goodies like flying over a pic of mario and dropping bombs ( xevious style ) on his eyes or smallberries....or flying over a c64 and bombing ( spelling ) out words on the keyboard for power-ups. Just a thought...

1050....Thanks for the info. YEP, Paul Alhart does all the rebuilds for me.He is a good dude and does great work. The toughest job I gave him yet was a Percom AT-88spd drive that was bad. Bryan- Paul Alhart told me there is a ROM chip that replaces the self-test in xl/xe that enables high speed transfer all the time.

Thanks Mr.Bill! I guess I will hold on to it after all....just for quick system testing.

I would PAY for this game. Give me a unique cart shell, box and fancy cart label with great artwork, and I'll pay $50.00. Efforts like this need to be rewarded. Any cart that say's " Copyright 2014 ______ " on it is way cool. Besides that it would look great next to all the others on my shelf.

So far I see it will power a 1027 and 1090xl. Is it save for a 400/800/1050? Are there any other uses for this PS?

Probably should have gone with the Happy. Oh well...Maybe I'll Happy my 810. I'll try Sparta 3.3 and Mydos.

I sent this off to get fixed and had a US Doubler put in. How do I get the extra speed out of this thing? DosXL doesn't seem to load anything faster. I do have Spartados 3.3c on cart. Do I have to re-copy my files to a faster disk format? What are my options? Thanks.

This IndusGT has had a new track 0 sensor put in and tuned up ( have work invoice ). Read / Write tested in single and double densities. Comes with all the original software, power supply, custom cover and manual. Has small chip on lid but works fine. I am asking $135.00 plus shipping. I also have a 1050 us doubler and 810 available. Please e-mail me : [email protected] I can send pics and answer any questions.
