I just combined two broken 800xl boards into one extra working one, but have no extra case or keyboard yet. I was thinking about putting it in something else...a modified 2600 or 5200 case or something odd like that. What was the strangest place you have seen a motherboard put in? " insert Love Connection quote here " I HAVE seen a gamecube toaster...

Normally I scrounge around for 8 bit stuff and happened to come across Guardian for the 2600. I thought it might have been rare, so I picked it up for $3. Cart / label is in pretty good shape. I couldn't find any prices around. What do these usually go for? Thanks.

Where did the respected owners find them? I need to know where to start looking.

I have 2 non working 800xl mainboards. The light comes on but no-one is home on one of them. The other has a solid white bar on the right. I was going to start swapping chips to see if I can get one to work. Any Ideas on which ones more commonly go out? Where should I start? I would hate to scrap them.

You can use a 5200 power supply just fine. This is not a myth....

Nice write-up. When the Jaguar was going down, I saw a copy of Aircars at E.B. in a white shrink-wrapped box with a photocopied manual for $20.00. I Should have bought that! I also gave away my boxed version of Iron Soldier...another mistake! I think I'm gonna go find a Jag now...

Thanks Thorf. Now I need to figure out how to get it to run off myide II. I have all my files in the Fat32 partition, and can't access those files from mydos on the cart. Maybe I'll buy another CF card and set it up differently...I sill have not found any printable docs on the myide II.. just videos. I would love to get SAM running for the swap meet put on by PRGE here in Portland, Jan 18th.

Does anyone know where I can find a .xex version of this? I have looked everywhere...I found the documentation for it, but no executable file for the MYide II. Thanks.

I know the Atari can do this, and probably better in some ways. How about some brighter colors and some RMT music?

I purchased the flash cart to take games from the cart and put them on disk, and I can't figure it out. I have the FAT32 set up and it works fine. Mydos is set up with the max available memory. Mydos does not see the games in fat32. How do I transfer the files from the cart to my IndusGT? I could not find any info on the Atarimax boards. Help!! Is there another ( easier way ) to accomplish this?

A little off topic, but think what games would have developed into if they used 64k from the initial release of the 8 bits. I bet they would have been better and better through time, and would have probably extended the life of the machines....initially putting up a better fight against the C64.

I have a nice 48k 400, and I would only ask $40- $60 for it. I use it for Gorf.

I have a rebuilt 1050 us doubler for sale. She had 3 capacators replaced and a new us doubler installed.It's $110.00 plus shipping. The 810 is used and working. I had a problem with my 400, so I took it apart to reseat the chips and boards and came to find out that it had a 64k ram card in it. It was made by Atari ( CAO61553 ). Are these rare? Print ?(0) shows 37902(48k). And can you use these in a 800 to avoid using all the slots up for ram? ( it would keep it cooler ) Thanks. BTW it works again.

This 1050 was just reconditioned and has the US doubler installed. I just cleaned the case and the only yellowing is on the back. I have the receipt for the repair order and can send pics if needed. It is $110.00 plus shipping. B&C sells them for $150.00. If interested e-mail me: [email protected]

I just talked to Lance at V61 and he has stated that Venture is finished debugging and is ready to ship. Call him up or e-mail him.

Holy toledo! ROF looks amazing! Flight sim II and Koronis Rift would also benefit for sure. I'm trying to think of others that would as well to justify the purchase. Alternate Reality, F15 perhaps?
