  2. Mine looks a bit different than the pic in that thread .. Should I still attempt it? .. Mobo CO70523-001 Rev D.
  3. I have a 1040STf with NO RF MODULATOR. I have verified that the computer works with a high resolution monochrome monitor. I have found a cable on Ebay and a SCART to HDMI converter.( pics ) What are the chances of this combination actually working? The ebay cable link :https://www.ebay.com/itm/ATARI-ST-QUALITY-RGB-SCART-LEAD-TV-VIDEO-CABLE-2-METRES/321231353702 The other options I have considered : 1) Installing a RF modulator from Best Electronics. 2) The Ebay seller also sells a Monitor out to VGA cable as well - that option would require a monitor that supports the frequency, and tracking those down is time consuming. 3) Using a GBS-8200 Video converter. Any information regarding this ( often discussed ) issue would be appreciated, and I know this has been discussed a million times... Thanks Guys
  4. I have four 48k’s for sale, two with custom dust covers ( one is on eBay ). FYI the UNO Cart works on these, so it makes them super useful for running games. PM me if interested.
  5. Thanks! ( it’s all good 😀 ) They don’t really appear that often in the wild. The last 8 bit I got was a 400 off Portland Craigslist for $25. I see SOME at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo and usually pick those up for a song. I would be extremely lucky to find a unit at a retro game store and it’s pretty rare to see carts their as well. I’m very busy, so local enthusiasts usually beat me to the Craigslist posts , so I gave up trying. Once in a while I get donations of broken units ( thanks Kevin Savetz ) 👍
  6. Did some further testing and I can't get .atr files to load on it. All .xex so far will ( up to 48k ram of course )
  7. The Brewing Academy has the Uno carts. I have four 48k 400's if you need one. Two with dust covers. Pm me
  8. I have put the original Atari 48k ram card in many 400's but I only just recently tried the Uno cart on them and IT WORKS! - FYI the Uno cart will not run on a 800 without modification, to the best of my knowledge. I have notified Macrorie of The Brewing Academy. I will do some more testing to see what will and will not run. I have four 48k 400's if you need one. Paul Eightbitfix.com

  11. Hi guys! I'm putting this special 800 up here instead of Ebay because of it's uniqueness, and I feel more people would appreciate it here. It has a reset button wired in on the bottom left. The Keyboard does work but the 7 sticks and can be repaired. I have not had a chance to dump the eprom on the O.S. card so it's a mystery as to what it holds. The RAM card has 256k chips on it. The SALT diagnostic cart math checksums do not match. Programmes requiring extra ram do not see it. Ben Heck and Joe Decuir were intrigued by it at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo. If interested, PM me with a reasonable offer with shipping considered. Regards, Paul

  14. I have four 400's that are completely restored, and have THE ORIGINAL Atari made 48k ram board in them, NO POWER SUPPLY! you can get one from Bruce at B & C Computervisions, or Brad at Best Electronics. I have two with custom dust covers and they are $100 each + Shipping From Portland, Oregon I have two with no dust Covers and they are $80 each. If you want one With a Dust cover and Sdrive2 they are $170. One with an Sdrive2 and no dust cover is $150. The 400's really benefit from the Sdrive2, as most everything runs off it ( as opposed to a multicart or SIO to SD ) I only have ONE empty 48k ram card box. If you need some of my references, visit Eightbitfix.com PM me if interested. Thanks for looking!
  15. I have an Atari STe for sale in the Marketplace.
