I'd have to say my 2800 was kickin... play your 2600 games with 4 controllers like a 5200. I miss my 2800 and all its companions :/ For straight 2600's though, I liked the Sear System, just because it was a little different

I'm sorry, but at this time, I can not do a lot to help. My network was struck by lightning 2 weeks ago, effectively destroying all my power units, 6 computers, 8 monitors, and just over 4 terrabytes of data. This has been a significant setback for me. As some of you are well aware, it was only around X-Mas that all my actual consoles including all my Atari harware was stollen. This damage to my network effectively wiped out all the software. Fortunately, I do have the software backed up, however, I no longer have room to restore it all. As the Atari emu and roms are so small, I restored them, but time is of the importance now... I have a lot of work to do... and yes, its true that's an excuse, but please consider, I have only recently even started to think Atari again after such a loss. I simply do not want to commit myself to something I'll lose heart/interest. It wouldn't be fair to others. Please, feel free to use the BINs posted and ask for help.

Sorry, but its been pointed out in other posts that Stella is buggy, doesn't support many of the latest ROM formats, and according to the author who ports the program, will not be updated to resolve such issues. As such, z26 is highly reccomended in place of the aging Stella emulator.

Actually, I have 2 more that people have pointed me to already, so its not all As for the long HEX named and unknown ones... those are early sprite demos and the like, that shouldn't have gotton out, but at one time or another were made public. Most are not playable, but as they did get out, I feel should be listed. After all, if never working overdumps are listed, why not those?

Well, I tried everything, and this forum will only let me post images The rename to .jpg idea was "bad". So, anyhow, for now, I'll post the file here: http://Welcome.to/SnailSoft/Atari/crc.zip BTW, this isn't a want list... this is a CRC database of all BIN files I have for the 2600. It usually contains a few hunderd more then the Good Tools. I am always seeking further bins, or at least their CRC, to add to the list.

Well, its been a while since I posted this list, but as I see Cowering has been trying to update his dated tools, I thought it would be good to make available the current listings I have. If I am missing anything, please let me know and preferably, point me to where I can obtain it. Well, I was going to attatch a zipped text list (71Kb), but for some reason, the forum is refusing .zip, .cab., .gz and from what I can tell, all but graphic attatchments. Thus, I guess this is now a, why can't I attatch anything but graphics here post, even though I'm supposed to be able to do so? Once I figure this out, I'll make the list available.

Create Your Own Adventure! - Final Version Released

As crushing this program takes me a good hour to do after I see a new update, I'd like to know if others are interested in this modification... Does size really matter? For Atari programmers, I'd think so... 93% wasted space... could you imagine if PacMan could have 93% more space for coding... Oh well, just some flighty thoughts. -

Well, I could tell ya how I did it, but then I'd have to kill ya! No, not really... but I am using a few, shall we say, not so mainstream tools. Especially to RE the thing... of course, you don't have that issue But to make things simple, here's the next one: h--p://Welcome.to/SnailSoft/CYOA028small.zip 578 Kb link removed for update below -

Well, took a look, and sure enough, 10+ Mb, so did it again. Also found out, if a file is too large for this forum, it gives a false reason for rejecting the file... as such, I'll post it here for now: h--p://Welcome.to/SnailSoft/CYOA027small.zip 622 Kb If Maximus doesn't mind this, and my bandwidth isn't killed, I'll leave it 'til the next update. corrected typo in URL File removed for newer update below... -

WOW!!! What more is their to say? This is spectacular It makes me sick to even look at my old Vader-Matic after seeing this work of art. Great job. BTW, I hope you don't mind, I took some liberty with your code. If you don't like this, I'll remove it. I know VB is great for making programs easily, but it completely lacks any and all forms of efficency when it comes to speed and size. I almost gasped when I saw 10+ Mb to edit a 4 Kb file... So, I RE'd the tool, compressed the graphics, repacked the tables, threw in a few minor XP tweaks (that should not effect the tool in other OS's), rebundled it all, and here you have it, your CYOA at less then 10% of its original size. Please RENAME to .ZIP and extract... for whatever reason, it kept telling me I can't upload a zipped file :/ Doh! Timing... already, 27 is out, and looks to be a lot smaller. I'll look into it. -

Excellent! That's good to hear. I was going to mention that it would be nice to click a button, have a window pop up and ask, do you want the default data loaded for the window being edited. It would make alteration, and alignment of the "halls" so much simpler I am eagerly awaiting your next release and happy to see suggestions being taken and used Another suggestion, a loading feature that would read saved data back into memory. I myself like to save edits often and test them in the emulator for appearence and functionality. I'm sure you're already working on such a routine... but just in case As the author of VaderMatic, the tool used to alter Space Invaders, much as your tool alters Adventure, I'd just like to say you've done an excellent job on this -

Hello. I've really been enjoing this tool. Very nice job! Several minor points, hope they were not already mentioned... 1. When editing, all edit colours are red. It would be nice if they reflected the colour of the rooms/items you are editing. 2. The default path is C: Would be nice to define it. 3. If dASM is not found when compiling the program crashes losing all work Here is a better map: -
Very sad news :( I no longer have my Atari collection.

To comment on a few posts here: First, please people, read the posts from the start. It will same time in reitterating. The link to the list of stollen property is in the very first post of this thread. Second, Wagner is currently under arrest. He wont be held long for lack of current evidence, but his failure to appear in court, his throwing us off the property several hours before the actual closing of the deal, and the fact that it is his cousin who has been found to be selling the items to E-Bay and many other places, have placed Wagner in deep shit. Third, I do agree that several posts here are not the most appropriate, yet this thread in general is. It helps other to help me. As for my site. In order to cliam libel, it must be false. I did take the route of discression and curtousey, and it accomplished nothing. Everything stated on my site is true, and all the information is public. Further, it has been reviewed by attournies, and is not considered an issue. Sadly, I now have a report from the local landfill there. It seems that a sword matching my description, and from around that time, was found in a dumpster rented to Wagner. Its present where abouts, are unknown. This at least, substanciates the neighbors claims to property being trashed. Wagners cousin hasn't said much other then what Wagner brought him was small stuff. Beyond that, he's not saying anything until the trial. He is expected to testify against Wagner as a reduced condition of his selling stollen property. (While I don't know the details, this sounds to me like he must have admitted to knowing it was stollen, or he'd not be facing charges himself.) Unfortunately, recovering anything is still going to be next to impossible... but not entirely. My family watch is the most important to me. Oh, and BTW, I have been watching E-Bay, closely, and several auctions are on hold until the origins of the items can be determined. I have already recovered a few books from there, with my name in the cover. I really hate E-bay for all the stollen things they sell. And I don't like it took legal action just to get them to cooperate. This has already been a very long process and it will be a long time in finishing, and that is only the legal aspects. Wagner and I still have adjoining property. And this crime will not go unforgiven. On a side note, the police that were involved are also under review for their part in removing us with out looking into the legal aspects of this matter. I myself have little interest or investment in that and it is the state who will persue the matter. The only thing of interest to me, is that if Wagner is found guilty, and the police are found to have assisted him, the state may end up paying the insurance company for a large sum of the loss. -

Although not console related, a small ray of hope has presented itself. A dice collector on the west coast recently came into possession of some very rare and unique dice. They were obtained off E-bay (so glad I reported the stollen property to them so they could ignor it). After reading a post I made in a collectors forum, the person contacted me. They were quite vague in who they were, but after some talking, were convinced, they had indeed, bought my stollen dice. Today, I received a package. Not only were they the majority of my dice, they were still in the same storage box! (Its sort of like a treasure chest.) The person did not even ask for compensation. So my many thanks goes out to them! I have AGAIN, contacted E-bay with the stollen property list (for all the uselessness that is) and the police and insurance company. This means, at least some of my property, was sold for profit, and not entirely destroyed. Thus far, E-bay refuses to acknowledge WHO made that sale. -

I had my first serious talk with the legal eagles yesterday. The police did a search of the Wagners house but found nothing. Wagner still is refusing to speak with them. The court date has been set to October 23, 2004. I have also been informed I have 1 year to replace anything to which I have roms. After 1 year, anything not replaced, I need to legally get rid of the roms... that includes the one of a kind. The good news is, do to the nature of the loss, I can appeal the decision, and stand a good chance I will be able to keep what I have. I have received a lot of help and support from those here and would just like to express how much I appreaciate all you've done. -

Had you read that site completely, you'd know that Wagner was completely aware, and that witnesses who helpped us move have testifed already to the police. As the property was still in transaction that day, neither us nor they had a problem with the arrangement. -

2 different neighbors, one to either side of him... he reportidly brought in a dumpster, loaded it and had it sent of... I have been watching E-Bay, but much is hard to trace. The really rare stuff has not shown up yet. I spoke with both neighbors recently who both tell me they are not on good terms with Wagner now as he has lied to one and is refusing to speak with either at this time. Not that it effects me any, but it shows his character. -

Seeing how this "thief" in an act of what I can only call spite, has in most likelyhood destroyed all my systems, where does that leave me now with all my ROMs? Their is no physical evidence... This will likely be held up in court for months if not longer... Do I have to get rid of them too after 24 hours because of his actions?
