Awesome!
Thanks for the FYI.
Maybe time to recreate some of my old RPGs made with version 3...
-
WOW!!!
That is a really cool prize!
I had missed the post you were even offering one.
-
HOODY-HOO!
Thanks for the FYI.

Easier still, get VaderMatic:
http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...ight=vadermatic
It uses Hack-O-Matic now, but it sets up the rom for you, and uses one of the easiest to hack roms, Space Invaders.
While HOM is super easy, it can still be a challenge to find a roms graphics.
Using VaderMatic (a PC tool) you don't have to find the graphics.
If you are truely green to the sceen, this will help.

Awesome!!!
Great job.

Forgive my being new to this forum,
but who is Albert?
And why are people sending him the hacks instead of posting them?
-
Why not just post them here yourself?
PS Real cool sounding info on those games!
-
Can you put some downloads of the mentioned games?
Huh?
You are one of only 6 people in the world with 100% access to my entire 2600 archive...
Yikes! Ever make one of those mistakes you were so certain about you didn't even stop to think, you were wrong?
Have to stop missing those nights of sleep.
It is jredant that has the site access to my FTP server for my 2600 archive.
But, just to be nice, I am sending Atari Troll a PM

-
When are you going to announce the bloody thing?
What ???
As to what might be allowed as far as images go for the Atari..
I am amuzed by the idea that games like Custer were pulled due to the sexual imagery and concept.
Imagine what images like the ones today would have done to the prudes back then.
-
This thread is starting to get way off topic now, but as I've received quite a few PMs and emails requesting the Greeting Carts, due to this post, I am making available all the BINs I have.
Enjoy.

How about some screenshots
Okay, while I obviously can't post some of the snapshots requested

I can put up a few.
If the moderators think them too inappropriate, feel free to pull them.
I tried for a few of my better ones, a bit spicey, but not too hot I hope

File names are based on the CRC value of the rom from which the snap was taken.
Drats, 5 attatchments max.
Oh well.

Wow, that's a huge list!
What hardware where you using and how long did it take to compute it?
I used a 300 MHz K6 (the same computer that hosts my 2600 archive).
It took 52 hours to process.
But you better elimintate multicarts (e.g. 128 in 1, 32 in 1, 4/2-Paks etc.) before testing. Else everything is somehow related to everthing.
Realised that later, but then again, it is also accurate.
The new MinGolf and Indy 500 hacks were not included... obtained after I started.
A few months from now, I'll update if enough changes present themself.
Meanwhile, this run covered quite a bit.

Interesting. I'd like to see these...
Greeting_Cart_Amy_in_thong_by_SnailSoft
Greeting_Cart_Cathy_by_SnailSoft
Greeting_Cart_Blond_on_Brunette_by_SnailSoft
Please send AtariTroll a PM for these requests as he is able to obtain them,
as well as any others in my collection.
It isn't that I'm trying to limit access, I'd like everyone to have what is available, it is simply, I haven't the bandwidth to give everyone access to my server.
The General forum has a thread, Am I missing any?
It contains a list of most of my collection.
-
It isn't you.
I discovered last night that their has been a statewide DNS problem.
It seems the big 12 came under attack, so I suspect DNS issues were felt worldwide.
It is now resolved.
This had the result of blocking access to all of my servers unless you knew and used the IPA.
Everything seems okay this morning.

Well, sad news for all of you Mac Stella users.
I received a reply today:
Sorry, I am not going to update Stella just to work with an
end-user-hacked ROMs.
Thanks for letting me know tho.Maybe someone would be willing to port z26 to the Mac?
It is a superior 2600 emulator anyhow, and John is very good at updating it.

-
I have contacted John Stiles, the author of the Mac port of Stella, and directed his attention to this thread.
-
When are we going to see all the designed roms on one rom?
The 30th is the deadline, so anytime after.
-
Using my collection of 2200+ roms and Thomas Jentzsch great tool, clonespy, I have put together a nice list of what Atari 2600 roms are related to one another and to what degree.
Not all roms could be scanned, but most were.
This is a plain text document.

I sent my submission nearly 3 days ago, but never received confermation nor have I seen note of it, so I'm posting it here

I'm on a mac using Stella and the hack is stuck on the title screen.
I do not have available, my computer with my G3 emulator at this time.
However, the PC version of Stella is working fine with the game.
This suggest either, a design flaw in the Mac version of Stella or, user error.
I shall asume you know how to use the emulator and it is a bug with the Mac version, but until someone else can confirm this...
PS Make sure you have the latest version 1.3
-
Well I will get my butt in gear and release them right now
It's been over a day now and nodda...

The vultures are circling...
The wolves are hungry...
The posters are, well, posting...
Well, would rather wait for a better product then jump too sone into an unfinished one. Here's hoping to see them soon.

I'm on a mac using Stella and the hack is stuck on the title screen.
Hmmm, I'll see what I can do.
I do all my work using z26 and it has been fine on that.
Always worries me when one emulator works and another doesn't.
Anyone else have this problem?

z26 joystick issue
in Emulation
Posted
I have not for a long time, had a joystick attatched to my system, and decided it was long over due.
I attatched a generic 2 button game pad.
I set it up, in the control panel, under WinXP.
It is calibrated and works fine in other DOS and Windows games.
However, I can not get it to work in the latest DOS or Windows version of z26
Was support removed (readme.txt still says it should be automatic)?
Has anyone else experienced this?
