For some time now, I've been trying to find digital copies of the 2600 FSRM, not hard copy books. I read the post here and at the Big List, only to conclude, like others recently, that it appears to be "lost" and no one wants to take the time to convert it again While the book is relatively inexpensive, when your broke, your broke, otherwise I'd get one and convert it myself. In my hunting, I came accross this site: http://www.dbusch.com/atari/book.html While not exactly the FSRM, it sounds promising. Has anyone encountered this before? Any good or bad things to be said? Would AtariAge have this already or be interested in acquiring it for the rest of us? If someone has a FSRM they'd like to pass along, I'd glady digatize it. Otherwise, if someone knows where to find this elusive document, I'd greatly appreciate an URL.

Uncular Duke's Hack's return from the grave
Greg Zumwalt replied to Uncle Duke's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
Hey, Hozer, of all people, had some real nasty things to say about some of my early hacks. By the time I produced an original, I wanted nothing to do with them. Not everyone can be unique; that doesn't mean they can't be creative. I eagerly await your work! -
Thanks for that speedy responce! That fixed it.

Okay, so I haven't touched any 2600 source code in a few years, and I may have forgotten a few things, but I don't recall missing this file or having seen this error before. Some of my old source codes have an INCLUDE vcs2600.h line in them and when trying to assemble, I get an error that the file is missing. I searched all my old code and downloaded the newest DiStella and Dasm, but can't find it. Nor did it come up in a search here. Is this really a file or something else? If it is a file, where can I optain it?

Thanks here too. I transfered my software from a Win98 machine to one running XP and thought it was an OS issue. Glad I checked here first This little batch script really helps out: DISSAMBLE.BAT echo processor 6502 > %1.s distella -a %1.bin >> %1.s Just type disassemble and the file name, no extension.

The fishes are revolting! Those simple DNR road block wont protect you for long. Watch for the toad. This is an example of VaderMatic at work. fish_revenge_hack_by_snailsoft_2003.zip

VaderMatic started out back in 1997 as a DOS Space Invaders batch hacking tool. It was never finished to my liking. Eventually, it was all but forgotten. Couldn't even find it on the BIG list anymore. Recently, I've renewed my interest in Atari 2600. Not that I ever really lost it, just didn't have time. With the release of Hack-O-Matic, I am able to replace most of the DOS portion. I have had several requests for this old hack tool, so here it is. Slightly revised, working. Tested under Win98 and XP. Enjoy. FYI Sorry about this, but when I tried to upload the package, under a Mb, I discovered that this forum only allows a max of 512Kb. So I split it into a selfextracting ACE only to learn I can't upload EXE's. So, I then packed it into a split ZIP. The first part uploaded, but the second refused. So, download both pieces. Rename VM2of2.zip into VaderMatic.z01 Then extract VaderMatic.zip vadermatic.zip vm2of2.zip

Side effects of bordem... WacMan hack.
Greg Zumwalt replied to Greg Zumwalt's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
Glad at least someone is getting a good laugh out of this minds trip into the sewer levels of the male mind at five in the morning As for the thread, I missed that one, so kool! Great minds think alike? Hope you're a cola drinker... -
Okay, did this one after a really stressfull day. It is just another Pac-Man hack, by heh, its quirky. A friend of mine recently commented that they didn't care too much for the 2600 because all the games are for "MEN". While not entirely true, I thought I'd dedicate this to her. You are a female embryo. You are finding your way around in the womb. You need to collect vitamins to stay healthy. Being a modern woman, you don't want to get pregnant... so, stay away from those sperm! In order to help you out, collect condoms, diaphrams, dildos, vibrators, drinks and if you must, look to religion. Should things get to hormonal for you, take a birth control pill! This hack only took me about 2 hours. wacman.zip

I just tried the URL and it works fine. Try it again.

I have maintained for many years (before the BigList existed) an Excel database format list of Atari. As it is a spreadsheet, you can reorganize it to list via year. http://snailsoft.dyn.ee/atari/ATARI2/ATARIXLS.HTM PS Yes, I know it is in need of some updating. I simply didn't have the time.

Custers Viagra-small hack-will take suggestions
Greg Zumwalt replied to ATARI TROLL's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
Kool! Keep it up -
I have created BINs for each graphic using the wordlists: OriginalWords.txt, Wordlist.txt, and also 4letterWords.txt also using the Big List of Atari 2600 carts, I sorted out all 4-6 letter words and names into a file containing just over 1500 words. Given the 510 word limit, I split the list into 3 pieces. Each list has been randomly mixed. That is to say, each list contains words from a-z. I then made BINs using each of the 3 lists and of each graphic. All of the BINs can be found here: http://snailsoft.dyn.ee/atari/atari2/downl...mming/index.htm If anyone makes a new BIN, please send it to me. Include your name/nick and a the name of your list.
