    Just got an update from amazon in Germany about my delivery data for the Poster Collection. It'll arrive on July 14! Just in time for the family meeting at the beginning of August where I'll be giving one copy of the book to my brother. Geeeeez, we spend half of our childhood playing these games :)

    Just retrieved the first delivery, the Standard Edition, from my 'Packstation'. Couldn't wait for getting back home, so I opened the package in my car and what can I say, I LOVE IT :thumbsup: .

    Half an hour later I decided I should drive home, it was way too cold to spend the whole evening in the car :) .

    On Saturday the Deluxe Edition is supposed to arrive, how can that one be even better?

     

    I decided to keep both of them and the SE will be my christmas gift to my brother. After all we spent so much time playing games on my Atari 2600 console back then. I'm sure he'll like it too, although he's not such an enthusiast as we are.

    I also just yesterday detected that the Deluxe Edition is available on amazon.de. The item title did not clearly indicate it, but it's mentioned in the item details and the photo. So I just ordered this one too in addition to the Standard Edition which I couldn't cancel anymore now, I was one day late, geez. And yes, 90EUR is clearly a rip-off over here. So the book better be good! ;)

    Per Bleeding Cool News, there will be a "deluxe" edition of Art of Atari featuring a unique leather-bound hardcover book made to look like an Atari 2600 cartridge, a slipcase made to look like a 2600 game box, a Steam key to download Atari Vault, and a limited edition print of artwork from Cliff Spohn, one of Atari's original artists. Looks pretty sweet...

    I'm about to cancel the preorder for the standard edition.

    Just waiting a little bit more to see if the deluxe edition will be available in Germany at all.

     

    This is a collector's dream!

    Hi Al,

     

    I encountered two problems in my AtariAge store account:

     

    ​First I tried to update my account data for my AtariAge store account (not the forum account).

    I want to change my email address and phone number information.
    I filled all required fields (marked with red *).
    But when I press the 'Update' button I still get an error message that I need to fill all required fields, which I did.
    Please fill in all required fields.
    Is there a special format required for the phone number field?
    Second I tried to contact you via the Contact form, but this doesn't work either. It tells me I need to enter a Captcha, but there's none displayed.
    You did not enter the CAPTCHA correctly. Please try again.
    As a last resort for these two problems I write this forum post now...
    So, how can I change my email address in my AtariAge store account (not the forum account)?

    I guess, there are still some things I need to understand about the Harmony Encore and it's software, like:

    • How can I find out which firmware is actually installed on it? I see the version 1.06, but can't see if it's NTSC/PAL60/PAL50. Fred wrote in an email that he shipped it with PAL60, but I can't verify that. Also I can't seem to find a download link for any 1.06 PAL firmware.
    • If there's a PAL60 firmware on the Harmony and I have NTSC ROM files on it, will the colors be 'strange'? That might explain what I see.
      :idea: SOLVED: When using PAL ROMs the games look good on my TV again :idea:
    • Fred wrote in an email to me, that I don't need to connect my Harmony to my computer via USB anymore for upgrading the firmware, instead I could use a firmware update utility, that's available here on the forums and that allows to upgrade directly from the Harmony menu. Is it this one: http://sourceforge.net/projects/harmonycart/? I guess not, because it says "USB Programmer".

    A month ago I bought the Harmony Encore and I got it shipped with the PAL60 firmware, so I could get started using it right away, although the colors aren't right.

    Back then I was told that after about 2 weeks the PAL50 firmware would be available.

     

    Is there any target date for the release of the PAL50 firmware?
