I guess, there are still some things I need to understand about the Harmony Encore and it's software, like: How can I find out which firmware is actually installed on it? I see the version 1.06, but can't see if it's NTSC/PAL60/PAL50. Fred wrote in an email that he shipped it with PAL60, but I can't verify that. Also I can't seem to find a download link for any 1.06 PAL firmware. If there's a PAL60 firmware on the Harmony and I have NTSC ROM files on it, will the colors be 'strange'? That might explain what I see. SOLVED: When using PAL ROMs the games look good on my TV again Fred wrote in an email to me, that I don't need to connect my Harmony to my computer via USB anymore for upgrading the firmware, instead I could use a firmware update utility, that's available here on the forums and that allows to upgrade directly from the Harmony menu. Is it this one: http://sourceforge.net/projects/harmonycart/? I guess not, because it says "USB Programmer".

Once you ordered your Harmony Cart, how long till you got it?
achtbits replied to koolaidpickle's topic in Harmony Cartridge
Took only a week until it arrived overseas! Quickest overseas package ever. -
A month ago I bought the Harmony Encore and I got it shipped with the PAL60 firmware, so I could get started using it right away, although the colors aren't right. Back then I was told that after about 2 weeks the PAL50 firmware would be available. Is there any target date for the release of the PAL50 firmware? Thanks.

I also would like to say Thank You to the creators of the Harmony Encore. Now I can finally leave my cartridge collection rest in peace in their boxes. Let's see if the Harmony can reduce my PS4-time

And here for another proud member of the Harmony Brotherhood. Found mine in the mail yesterday and have been playing pacman 4k all weekend

Just ordered my first Harmony (the Encore one). Now for the painful period of waiting till it arrives I better start preparing a collection ROMs I want to have on it and put a copy of the manual on my iPad.

Very, very tempting. These trading cards look awesome. But the price is hefty. Moving production over to the U.S. won't make it any better for me as I'll have to pay shipping costs back to Germany then. So I need to buy them now or never. Will need to sleep some more nights over it...

+ 1 One more WUDSN IDE installation on an Apple MacBook Pro here. Installation was painless and without any problems and now I'm getting rainbow-sick from watching at the result of the 'WUDS IDE Atari Rainbow Example' I'll probably need to do some reading in my 32 year old 6502 programming book by Rodnay Zaks again to even understand that simple example again. Thanks for an easy way to setup this development environment.

Same here, I wanted to order a Harmony, but with an enhanced version coming "soonish", I might be better off waiting for that one, as the shipping costs back from and to Germany will be too high. So I'll follow this topic and hope for a nice christmas gift to myself then

*gasp* can't seem to find the preorder form *gasp* Just downloaded the ROM and played it on my Android phone. It's amazing what today's 2600 developers are capable of. Great job! pac^man

I'm looking for the PAL version of Centipede for the Atari 7800. All cartridges I was promised to be PAL on Ebay turned out to be NTSC after I got them. Anyone?

Just ran into the Yars Revenge easter egg by accident. Didn't even know it existed.

1000+ Atari 2600 PAL Games for Sale
achtbits replied to Atari2600.com's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Oh myyyy (to quote George Takei). I never saw anything from it. Maybe he dumped the games somewhere in New Mexico -

In an Atari 800 package I received recently there were quite some interesting items included. One of them was the game "0 Grad Nord" (zero degrees north). It's a german text adventure on floppy disk. It was developed by Kemal Ezcan and Axel Weber, sold by Ariolasoft. It has a rarity of 8 over at atarimania. The disk works in my floppies. Another interesting thing with this game is the kind of box it comes in. It has the size and shape of a vinyl disc. Here's a youtube video of some sequences of the game: If someone is interested, please send me a message.

During my first flea market visit this year I found something for you: Marspatrouille. The module works, but the label is not in best shape (small writing at the top). See for yourself on the attached picture. Oh, and I have two more of the Bit Corp carts you're looking for: See-Monster and 'Schnecke und Eichhörnchen (snail and squirrel)'

I really, really love this. I've been looking for modules from which to build such a storage solution, but there's nothing available in any kind of stores that usually sell all kinds of containers. Maybe you could share some (exact) details about how you put that together? That would be awesome.

Atari Inc. - Business Is Fun Now Available!

I'm one of the backers of this book at kickstarter and still haven't received my copy. Now would have been a good time for the book to arrive as I'm going to stay at home for some time after surgery. Guess I need to get that additional kindle copy then... -
