    I was in touch with a former Coleco Employee who was in R&D department and worked closely with Eric Bromley

    I asked him if he had kept some Coleco stuff....... .... to my huge surprise, he told me he kept the very first Colecovision system they developed

    Apparently, only few of those units were made

     

    Needless to say I was like kid and immediately asked him if he was willing to sell his stuff....

    He accepted!!! .... and not only he accepted but all I have to pay is the shipping fees!

     

     

    So, here it is! The very first proto system (out of 5)

    More pics will come on colecoindustries.com later this year ;)

     

    Wow I can't wait to see more photos and any information about this.I always thought that Coleco was way ahead of the others by including the expansion port. From your photo and others I have seen in magazines back in the day they had this in mind from the very beginning.

     

    umm it was an april fools joke. Its not a real prototype :lol:

    Well, since this thread is nothing more than an early April Fool's joke, I'll give it a glimmer of non-sucker material by saying that I just updated the Team Pixelboy web site. You will find some new games listed in the "outsourced" section, namely Princess Quest, King's Valley, Thexder, Spelunker and The Stone of Wisdom. And there's no April's fool info to be found anywhere in there! :D

     

    was just looking, The black onyx looks good i'll have to keep an eye on that one

    Yurkie seen your work and once I get some extra cash I will definitely be getting one of your modded systems. I still have my original from when I was a kid and wanna keep it stock. But Brian just raves about your mods and what a improvement it is. Might be heading out to the Cleveland show in June and meeting up with Brian and 181. Hoping to have enough by then to pick one up from ya then.

     

    I just got a system from him and I agree his work is excellant. Well worth picking one up :)
