I have a Genesis II. I thought about getting a CD adapter to play the CD games. I've seen the Sega CDs here and there, but wasn't real sure if the system as a whole was worth looking into. The titles I have seen never really jumped out to me to make me want to track down the adapter. However, in my ignorance, I'm not knowledgable to Sega's CD line up. So maybe I have not seen the "kick ass" games. But...what DID change my mind to start thinking about buying the CD adapter was that I saw Samurai Showdown CD. I have that game as a cart, so I was thinking it should be way better on the CD. (or is it?) So, in short of this long rambling.... SEGA CD adapter 1. Worth it? 2. Your favorite titles or suggestions 3. Is Samurai Showdown better on CD 4. Any Pros or Cons about CDs or the adapter I should be aware of? Thanks all!

Recently, Intellivion TRON deadly Disc (just got it) And Fatal Fury 2 on the Genesis. Well, it's a toss up between FF2 and Samurai Showdown. And I can't forget to mention NES Excitebike...that never gets boring! -
Man, no kindding! Same here. I upgraded to the C-64 when it came out. But this summer I found one for $15, so I snagged it! It's really clean. What a blast reading through the manual typing in those old codes! ahhh memories. (incl. some pics) Anyone remember "Crazy Ape" the DK rip off game?

I wonder if there were any concept designs before the VCS we all know and love right now? Any pictures or drawings? It would be cool to see the developmental stages of how the lil' buggar progessed into it's final form.

I hope the power supply does the trick. I know first hand all about scrambling for the next days searching for solutions that will fire up that 2600! I remember getting my recent 2600, doing a complete teardown/cleanup, and finding this site. Then started the "how do I", "where are those" type of threads. You'll learn alot here.... Welcome!

I'm new to Intellivision...so I've been reading all the Inty threads lately! I just got mine (Inty II) couple 'o weeks ago. I don't think boxing should be listed as one of the all time greats, but man, I've been playing it alot. I hate the "2 player only" sports game thing thou. I've got AD&D and TRON Discs coming in the mail soon ...can't wait!!

I dabble in the realm of "cartoons". I'm currently trying to get my comic strip off the ground. Here's my take on the whole "kids of today VS. classic gaming"

Just picked up a Intellivision II for $15 at a thrift store. I got Burgertime with it. What games are your favorite, that you recomend I look into finding? Also, I've read that some of the Coleco titles (DK, Mouse Trap, Carnival) won't work due to programming issues. Anyone who owns a II had these...do they work for you?

Strolling thru some of the thrifts today..and woohooo! FINALLY! snagged Pitfall II! I've been seeing and reading alot of the post about Pitfall II, and now...I'm in. It's sooo groovy. Also caught in the wild with PF II, Crystal Castles, Moon Patrol, Titlematch Pro Wrestling, and 3-D Tic Tac Toe. $1 each.

Mine is Space Shuttle for 2600. Complete with game/instr/overlays/and box. It's not my original, so I had to go the ebay route. I remember spending hours with this game. I used to get a couple of folding chairs in my room, drape a blanket over them (like a tent) and set my 13" b&w tv on the chair and the 2600 on the floor. Get inside and began shuttle missions. Had my own personal shuttle! Side note...I have made 4 switcher overlays in PDF format if anyone needs them.

I shoved this little jewel in over the weekend. Ok, now time warp some odd 8-12 hours later!!! Wow, Millipede is KING! I've had it for a while but never really played it....what a mistake. I know it's like Centipede, but I just found it way more addictive! Anyway, just wanted pass along the joy I found playing Millipede.....alot!

Anyone heard anymore about it? I was hoping for this idea to resolve. Sounded like fun.

i pick Spirantho...inventor of the new idea

Maybe as a way to decide what game-of-the-week it is to have each posting member (alphabetically) starting with Alex, then going down the list, decide his or her game pick of the week. Just an idea, rather than a bunch of wild random votes to decide. The MilkMan..dam! I'm near the end of the list!

you have to "pole vault" out of there. Grab the pole by holding the button, and let go of button half way accross, you'll fly up to the ledge above. Then you have to grab a "step" that floats on the ledge. Grab it 4 times and build the ladder to exit to the top.

AAHHH HAA! I knew that arrow was for something! Cool! Thanks dude!

So I'm going along, I've gotten all the traffic to stop at this point...I go inside porkys, get the detonator device ( or push it rather into the hole on the bottom) climb up and out, reach the blue screen with scafolding. But I can't go all the way up. I climb about 4 levels up the scafolding and can go no more. He just set there vibrating...I either climb down or fall off. Also, I notice a red arrow pointing down on the right side ( also on or about the 4th level of scafolding) now what do I do?

Spent my weekend cleaning carts...then the fun began!
The MilkMan replied to The MilkMan's topic in Atari 2600
Hmm...Kool Aid Man is a M-Network title. At least mine is. There are no plastic covers on M-Network carts. You should have no troubles cleaning those carts. Isopropyl rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip will do the trick. As for the Atari cart with the cover, use a flat blade screw driver or an unfolded paper clip, insert it into the slot and push down. It will open the flap (the plastic cover) allowing you to clean.
