Just picked it up. I didn't have this game, and I have never played it before (except on the C-64) Anyone else have this one? How do you like it?
-
Picked up some new titles. Cleaned 'em, then played the heck out of 'em. Othello Seaquest Spacechase Porkys Tunnel Runnner Kool-Aid Man Played Kool-Aid Man and Space Chase the most...but WOW on Tunnel Runner! Way cool sound effects, the way the sound level increases or fades depending how close you are to the baddies. Cool 3-D maze game!

Don't laugh!: Anybody ever play with TRS-80 stuff?
The MilkMan replied to MichaelJMcKernan's topic in Tandy Computers
My first All-Text fantasy adventure was on my friends TRS-80! I think I bothered him for about a week straight ask him if I could come over to his house. Once I was there, sat down and typed away. Man, what hoot those days! -
what is wrong with the sega genesis
The MilkMan replied to gamerz's topic in Classic Console Discussion
not so cheap around me. Most titles are around $10-$20 bucks! And Phantasy Star II...huh, try $35-40 bucks! I'd prefer the 1-2 dollar range myself! -
If you could be any Atari game character (lets say 2600-7800) who would you want to be? Me. I'd want to be the action/adventurer type..the Pitfall character. Move over Indiana Jones!

because atari6anim6pitfall6rope.gif would = sign of the beast?

Pawn shops around me research the prices through the internet (ebay prolly) because all the carts are priced accordingly

Man, I'm completely hooked. It's been like 3 months solid now. It goes like this...get home, plunk down, fire up the 'ol NES and play ExciteBike. Even the PS2, Genesis, and (sad to say) the Atari are collecting dust bunnies. This game is addictive!

I know this doesn't apply when you're playing a game...but it's usefull otherwise. (say you need to get back after you've been programming or something) type SYS64738. That will get you back as if you've turned it on/off like using the switch!

Midwest Classic Pictures!
The MilkMan replied to Goodwill Hunter's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Forget the games, pinball, and all that... I want one of those kick ass tables with the stools built in you all had your stuff displayed on! Ultra groovy! ....although, the 47 game selector was mighty spiffy! -
I picked this little game up at the Goodwill for $1.99. Never heard of it, never seen it before, but it looked interesting, and the price was right. It's complete in the box: instructions, warranty card, styrofoam inserts to hold console in place... It's kind cool. You have the option of pluging it in, or running off of batteries. The sound is produced from a squawking speaker built-in the console. And you hook it to the TV via an RF cable. Yep, it's the typical pong format with your choice of 1)Single player 2)Tennis 3)Hockey 4)Handball or Squash..as it's described on the box. Even these slider "paddles" were victim of the "jitters". But a quick shot of electric motor cleaner did the trick. It even had the original price tag. From Richman Gordman at a whopping $29.99. Date on the box says '78. Anyone have one of these? Rare? Common? Whats the story?

Pretty close....i paid (30 and change) and that included shipping.

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
The MilkMan replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Walked in to Goodwill. I saw 2 games I didnt have. Plunked down 4 bucks, and walked out with Millipede for 2600, and Gaunlet by Tengen for NES. Smiled the whole drive home. -
One of my favorite text adventures was a game I had for the Commodore 64. It was called Mindshadow. I must admit, it did have graphics all over the place. If my memory serves, the game play is like Myst. I know you were talking about a text only game, but reading your thread joggled the 'ol brain and I had a flashback. Had to pass it along!

Rank your favorite gaming consoles/computers
The MilkMan replied to ElectricTroy's topic in Classic Console Discussion
LOL! I gigled for like an hour after reading that!..ehh, anyway. Think I'll list 'em in the order I owned them...which is still relevant in ranking to me. 1. 2600 2. Commodore 64 (even though my VIC 20 was before the 64..) 3. NES -
How many of you still own your first 2600 from 70s & 80s
The MilkMan replied to mark's topic in Atari 2600
My first console and games (circa '78) we're stolen. Our house was broke into...among some of my parents items, the 2600 went as well. The replacement 2600 was recently thrown away. It was at my folks house. They had cleaning frenzy and away she went. So, my current console and games are all replacement of someone else's past! -
Pac-Man. HA J/K, um...I guess Flash Gordon or Gangster Alley

not to sound like an under achiever, but, I really dont have any goals. I like going places randomly and finding a title i dont have yet (be it Atari, NES, Sega). The total suprise factor I guess is my goal. If I never have a complete collection of anything..so be it.

Just played NES Duck Hunt today...loads of fun! I got a high score of 271400 at Level 13. What's your best?
-
Yea! And 2-3 story fire pole to slide down! Woohoo!!

Well, in the mean time, there's always this... http://www.rathergood.com/knightrider/

Hell yea! That game rules! At least back then... My favorite bit was when I would met a foe (in this case an elf) too big for me to fight, I'd run...except sometimes the computer wouldn't register my key entry. Thus I'd get the clever line.."The Elf Is Not Amused" LMAO! To this day, my friend and I still use this line to discribe when one us is "not amused". I had Telengard on cassette for my C-64... Press play on tape!

MAN...this sounds alot like a board game I play called Blood Bowl from Games Workshop! On the Genesis!?! Yes, even to this day, I'm a Genesis newbie. I didn't know these Mutant games existed!!! KICKING! I'm also now totally going to find these titles! I always run a team of Orcs though...but Orcs are a common race for Games Workshop titles. And yes..Mutant leagues are available for you to coach. Heck, there's even elves, humans, giants, halflings, zombies....just about everything under the sun.(or moon) Wow. Cant wait to play 'em!
