Out of curiosity, who told you about this site?

 

About eight messages in my ebay account mentioned how I was the laughing stock of the forums. A quick google led me here. No hard feelings. Nice site.

 

Not even a laughing stock. We've all seen worse undersales. I've even done them before and I'm an experienced collector. We'd love to hear the back story behind how you got the stuff.

 

Most of us are jealous, but not knowing what was in there, it might have been a reasonable price.

 

Picked it the lot up for five bucks at an estate sale near Seattle, so I still didn't do too bad. I'm enough of a retro gamer to know the stuff had some value. I didn't know about magicard at the time. The paddles were interesting - the jacks on the cords looked like headphone jacks. The little digital counter thing seemed strange as well. The rom chips were mostly labeled with games I've seen.. circus atari, grand prix, etc. The magicard templates were uncut, too.

 

I'm curious where you came up with the $200 price point? If you didn't really know what you had, why not just run a normal-style auction? You would have made WAY more money had you just let the market determine the value for you.

As the idiot who sold this, I just want to say &^%$&%&!%!, and I'm currently tearing apart my house seeing if the magicard fell out somewhere.
