  1. Very nice! Looks professionally done. I PM'ed you for a set.
  2. I expected this to happen about 7 months ago. They did not listen to people with cash in hand ready to purchase software - all they had to do was ask via the forums or even the FaceBook page. Actually, if they would have just scanned the comments in the FaceBook page for the past year, they would have noticed the repeated and never-ending requests. I didn't see anything ever being done. Business 101 - give the customers what they want and what they will buy - i.e. make them happy and you will make money in the process. I am rooting for the SYZYGY Company right now. That and AtariAge are where the spirit of the real Atari lives.
  3. Oh no! I had no idea;sorry to hear about this. Get better soon! It's true, we all appreciate you. A prayer for a speedy recovery.
  4. I typed "Curt Vendel" in the Facebook people searchbox and not too far down were the words "curt vendel is a thief" -- I think that's a bit harsh, and I was surprised to see something like that pop up. Well, it's the Internet so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'm sure he isn't that. ...and no, I am not calling him that...just reporting what I saw. I guess you can't satisfy everyone in business. @bennybingo - Agreed. Here's their page: https://www.facebook.com/syzygycompany I did get one response: "Actually yes, a Syzygy Company website is in the works." I did have a question: Beef Drop VE for the 7800 --- is that game XM compatible as it stands? If so, then Donkey Kong XM and Beef Drop VE will be 2 games ready when the XM launches. Any others like Super Circus Atari? -- someone should make a list.
  5. As far as I have seen from their updates, they will contact everyone who ordered an XM and said they would even put a thread up on here asking for the whereabouts of anyone who has moved, changed email accounts and so on. Legacy is gone. It's all SYZYGY now. They have a Facebook page. They have a new model Atari style USB joystick for sale. I have asked them questions, but no responses yet. I've emailed them in the past, only to be ignored. Yes, they are super busy, but when you start new companies you can't ignore customers.
  6. Legacy is no more. It's the SYZYGY Company now. Check out the facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/syzygycompany They are starting to push out some products. The new Atari book and a new USB controller: http://www.atarimuse...sic2/index.html They are shipping the XMs at the end of January 2013... Mark and I will implement the firmware and after the New Year I will prepare the workshop for assembly, and begin to build out the XM's to begin shipping January 30th. 7. I just bought this for my Kindle. My first ever e-book for the Kindle. It is a nice read. Great job Kevin! A lot of similarities in my own life (I'm 45)...Recommended. ~Sal
  8. Thanks Fernando and Steve. I did order a blue MyIDE2. I already have the Atari Max SIO2PC RS232 version, which is great.
  9. Steve/all, Is all that is needed is this and your own compact flash card? I am asking what a newbie (me) should purchase from Atari Max? It doesn't look like I will need the Maxflash USB Cartridge Programmer to work with this -- I am surprised that all you need is one product. If so, great job guys.
  10. Anyone know when Tempest 5200 will make it to the AA store?
  11. Perry, Please keep on track and have this game released as an XM game. The XM will be released - groovybee posted a long response/update to what is going on. Yes, Curt did finish his Atari Vol1 book, but now his #1 priority is to get the XM out. We just need to be patient.
  12. I was given an email update from Curt in March 2012 that it would be released at the end of April 2012 at the latest. I think his Atari Vol 1 book took higher priority and now there is a Volume 2. I just hope he gets the XM out because I just bought DK XM Pokey (which is great) for the XM. I'd hate to purchase a bunch of games with nothing to play them on (a buggy without the horse).
  13. I played this on the emulator. Looks good. That first screen -- I remember on the Atari 800 version and I believe the arcade version, you can jump to the far right off screen and bounce back onto the screen. I remember being able to do this on a couple of screens. I was not able to do it on this version.
  14. 30 is so young. I'm 45. I actually thought you were going to say you were 50. LOL. You're still young!
  15. Stun Runner 87 -- I linked the petition page to Atari's facebook page for you, and I received the response that "Atari likes this". Take whatever you want from their response of thumbs up. Fans wanting Atari to make a new console: http://www.petitiononline.com/atari06/petition.html * * * NEW ATARI GAME CONSOLE * * * Petition www.petitiononline.com Atari likes this.
  16. Want Atari's attention? Get on their Facebook page. They'll tell you what these guys have been: "Sorry, no plans to do so at this time.". Atari was bought by Infrogames and their focus is on mobile games (iOS and Android) and licensing (including to movie studios). A lot of their current games are made by 3rd parties (no in house development). I don't even think they have a total of 80 employees in their 3 or 4 offices in the world. I've seen countless people rage on their Facebook page "ATARI MAKE NEW CONSOLES!", including me. All the action is happening right here at Atari Age. If you want to see some real (Atari like) hardware look to Curt Vendel, Marty and Ted Dabney of the new SYZYGY Company. They're on Facebook too. They have a book out, plan on volume 2, are working on the 7800 XM and have preliminary plans to make an Atari 3200 type console.
  17. Count me in too. Take your time! The XM won't be out for a while. So is this the first XM game release?
  18. I received both types: Standard Grey NES 7800 Standard Grey Advantage NES 7800 They work great. Good work, AX !
  19. Anyone have the following before I head off to eBay? Wanted for the Atari 5200: Working Wico Command Control Joystick with numeric keypad, the Masterplay interface or a Competition Pro joystick.
  20. Do all homebrew games support the X-board? What is this X-board anyway?
  21. Oh cool - you see I have the 8 bit Ataris and a 7800, and saw the 7800 had a better version (graphics), but I will be getting the XM. Is it definite that the current cart will detect POKEY? Burger Time was one of my favorites in the arcades.
  22. The AA store has Beef Drop for the 7800 with TIA sound. I saw there was a version of this with POKEY sound. Is the 7800 Beef Drop Pokey version still available? If so, is it in cart form, or do you need to play it on an emulator? Thanks
