  TAS was a good series, even with the limited animation. It's a shame it is often not considered 'cannon' as the stories were generally good.

  I was lucky enough to watch those when they were new. Great stories, but pretty low budget Filmation animation. As a kid, I loved that they didn't dumb it down for kids! It was still Star Trek.
