I've seen a lot of videos from dash cams... really makes me think I should get one.

If you get one, don't expect to catch a crash or major event right away. Took me over 2 years to catch a crash. Had shitload of stupid drivers though. dashcamtalk.com is a good place to check for reviews and reliable sources of cams

Techmoan on youtube has a lot of dashcam reviews... I mainly watch him for retro audio equipment videos, though...
