  1. I would like to buy 2 for Christmas presents, if anyone has spares, please let me know. I combed much of Southern New Jersey and got zero.
  2. For example, I have a ball drawn in GRAM location 7 (using DEFINE to get the bitmap into GRAM). The ball is drawn on BACKTAB, it is not a MOB. I want to create an animation effect by re-DEFINE the shape in GRAM 7 with the ball in a slightly different position within the tile. After a moment, I want to re-DEFINE again. I only want to animate when the thing in GRAM location 7 is visible in the 14x8 play area. If GRAM 7 is not in the BACKTAB visible area, I do not want to incur the CPU penalty of re-DEFINE a shape that the player cannot see. What is a good tactic for doing that? Thanks.
  3. You guys are smoking my head. Just wow. Thanks for sharing all of this! It would have been amazing for KR to see this in motion.
  4. He did mention the show and stuff. I need to figure out if I can get my work travel to coincide with the event...
  5. Similar ask: I have GRAM location 11 with an image in it, already DEFINEd. It may or may not be visible on the screen (it may or may not be in #BACKTAB). If it is visible (ie, is in BACKTAB), then I want to re-DEFINE it with another shape in ROM. If it is not visible, then I do not want to spend CPU time doing the redefinition. This does not sound like a lot of CPU work for a single shape, but I will have to do it for about 14 shapes (not all contiguous in GRAM), and am doing it in ON FRAME GOSUB which I want to code as tightly as possible. Thanks.
  6. Kind of related to this - how to DEFINE a range of GRAM with a single GROM shape? I want to replace GRAM locations 9-13 with the GROM 0 location in a few colors (basically "blanking out" those shapes), trying to know how to do it with code only. Thanks.
  7. We had Red Space Battle, so probably never played it beyond the "disc" speed. Knowing this, I wonder if Blue Space Battle has this bug/egg: http://www.digitpress.com/eastereggs/intvspacebattle.htm ?
  8. I went to the shop. When I asked the shop owner about Intellivision, he said, "that's my shit!" So I knew I was in the right place. The store is awesome, full of all kinds of stuff that would stress my marriage if i brought it all home. I did pick up some common boxed Intv games for my display shelf, talked about Philly Classic 2004, these AA forums, Royal Dealer is a good game in his opinion, and then I was on my way. Thanks for the lead!
  9. OK where to go in Nashville or Cleveland to get Intellivision or other retro goodness? Doing some hit and run trips and want to be in-the-know. Thanks.
  10. Less than 24 hours left, and way too many games will go unplayed. What do we do?
  11. Lemons background track, if you want it, enjoy.
  12. I am truly lacking in imagination... What did this *do* ?
  13. My AA-search-fu is weak at the moment... I thought that there was a sample "earthquake" IntyBASIC example that shook the screen, I think using SCROLL. But now I can't find it. Can anyone point me?
  14. I am in! PM to follow shortly. Thanks, organizers!
  15. A little something I am playing with. I have an LTO Flash! and an Intellivision II that is modified with a quicker reset than usual. I want to see what my "game" will do when I play with reset via software. OK, now back to work... And thanks!
  16. In 42k.bas, the ROM segments are arranged this way: REM SEGMENT ADDRESS RANGE SIZE NOTES REM ======= ============== ===== ===== REM 0 $5000 to $6FFF $2000 - Default segment REM 1 $A000 to $BFFF $2000 REM 2 $C040 to $FFFF $3FC0 - Avoid STIC aliasing. REM 3 $2100 to $2FFF $0F00 REM 4 $7100 to $7FFF $0F00 - Avoid EXEC's ECS ROM probe. REM 5 $4810 to $4FFF $0800 - Account for game's ECS ROM mapping out code. REM ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shouldn't they be ordered this way? REM SEGMENT ADDRESS RANGE SIZE NOTES REM ======= ============== ===== ===== REM 0 $2100 to $2FFF $0F00 REM 1 $4810 to $4FFF $0800 - Account for game ECS ROM mapping out code. REM 2 $5000 to $6FFF $2000 - Default segment REM 3 $7100 to $7FFF $0F00 - Avoid EXEC ECS ROM probe. REM 4 $A000 to $BFFF $2000 REM 5 $C040 to $FFFF $3FC0 - Avoid STIC aliasing. 17. If you found the music here - http://atariage.com/forums/topic/253194-intybasic-rough-song-immigrant-song/?p=3520504or here http://atariage.com/forums/topic/253110-the-intellivisionaries-episode-27-is-up/?p=3520506 - then there are no licenses, restrictions, etc on it do what you want with it. Enjoy. If you didn't, then still enjoy.
  18. What is the correct POKE (or set of POKEs) to make a game jump back to the main program's initialization/entry point? The equivalent of pushing the reset button on the console hardware? I am using IntyBASIC of course, but if there are clues/ideas from Assembly gurus, I am open. Thanks.
  19. This has nothing to do with anything, other than I thought that a platformer game with Paul and Rick and Will and CMart chasing Rev around for some reason would make a game.... And if it was a game, this would be playing in the background. Yes, this is kind of a sickness. No, I can't seem to stop.
  20. ...it would probably sound like this. ivptheme.rom (Source in the programming forum)
  21. OK deep thinking game designers... Here is a thing - http://www.nerc.com/pa/CI/CIPOutreach/Pages/GridEX.aspx If this could be an Intellivision game, knowing what we all know about the hardware features/attributes/limitations, what could it be? Sky's the limit. Be creative!
  22. Check it out. The nerds at Intv Prime have set up a simple sign-up sheet for playing a game on Intellivision Day. http://go.pkg.cc/ipd2017 So that page can be used to volunteer to play a given game from the Intellivision catalog. For the core 125 games, there is just one volunteer per game to make sure that as much of the catalog is covered as possible and avoid situations where say 25 people volunteer to play Sharp Shot but no one takes B-17 Bomber. There are also 25 volunteer spots for unnamed homebrew/independent/unreleased titles. Let's do it!
