  3. we all know i meant to write 16k, and with a game like Gauntlet, "running " through the levels requires having them in ram but main memory is not enough without some "help" hence the choppy scrolling

  5. 16 kb ram is not enough for Gauntlet. That's why the scroll is so choppy. should have been released with some kind of ram inside the cart or not at all (Ziggy is not a supporter of digital releases, so taking advante of the ultimate sd cart was out of the question) i love to have one more game on the 5200's library but i don't see myself playing this that much

  9. Don't want to talk about SIDE here, there's already a big thread for that nice device. But on this there are 4 ways to load a program / game: Myide mode (atari disk area) Sideloader (fat 32) Image mode , to try to run atr files And cartridge mode, for that rare games that don't work otherwise (Donkey Kong Arcade comes to mind...)

  11. As of know side can do only some of the things you can with this solution, Besides that Hot Swap ,Ram and sd compatibility come to mind...
  12. You can't find this very small run carts in the wild , And the rom is not available, so it can not be played on sd carts or emulators either...
  13. Wonder how better would it be with the levels streaming from sd on an ultimate cart, Getting rid of the ram memory limitation

  20. i've worked with similar devices like ide 64 , but this one is the most complete of it's kind, by far by the way , your last mag, awesome stuff... (i'm the one that drove you nuts last year with Ipad compatibility issues )
