  1. Hello everyone! Haven't posted here in a hot minute, but I'm currently working on clearing out my collection of stuff again in preparation of moving to another state (OH to PA), and I figured I'd post everything up here.

PayPal F&F for payment, or Venmo G&S, the latter having buyer protection. Shipping included in cost of items.

I'm going to be out of country from Jan 26th to Feb 12th, so please be aware that if you send payment after January 22nd, there's a very high chance it will NOT be shipped until a few weeks later!

HORI Fighting Stick SS - $45 shipped (stick only)

    Thank you so much!

I did almost every single conversion myself, the only exceptions I'm aware of are SEGA Master System and part of Genesis/Mega Drive (I did half of the music for that). I'm not completely up to date on all the ports that exist, but at the least I can say I did C64/128, PET, Plus/4, 7800, DOS (AdLib/PCSpkr), Apple II, Amiga, part of GEN/MD, and I recall there's a few ports that re-use the Amiga and A2 soundtracks (at least I handed off the source files to a few people). I also did SNES and NES music but I'm not sure when/if those ports are coming out.

Haha, I'm glad you enjoyed the AdLib soundtrack - I have had a soft spot for both the OPL2 and 3 since they were the soundchips that got me into making music when I was 14. 8 years later and I still jump on any chance to play with them.

We were very privileged to have @NoelleAmelie complete the music for us - it's a huge part of the ambience of PETSCII 7800! Thank you again 😄

My pleasure! You were all great to work with, and I'm glad to see the final product is such a hit. Hoping some day we can work together again on more Atari goodness 👍

  3. I might've already said this in the old thread (I've been busy lately, hard to keep track of everything...), but I'm very happy to hear everyone enjoying the game and especially the music!

This game was the first time I worked very extensively with the POKEY, and it makes me feel accomplished to hear everyone enjoying the tunes.

I have also finally gotten around to uploading the soundtrack to YouTube for easy listening, as well as Bandcamp if anyone wants high quality recordings of the full score for this version - and every other I worked on! It's priced at $10 for 46 tracks of music.

  4. Aaaand sold! All that's left is the N64 FPS games.

I'm debating throwing my broken SC-88 Pro up for sale as well... problem is it's important to me and I really want to make sure it goes to someone who will fix it and enjoy it. I guess if someone is interested in one with some issue on the analog board, DM me and I'll give it some serious thought.

I have two Yamaha MU modules with a TG300 mode and love the sounds, but I'm not sure if a real TG300 and the backwards compatibility mode on the MU modules actually sounds the same or not.  Though @NoelleAmelie is an expert on the matter and may know if there's actually any difference in the sample-set?

Very big difference - the MU's TG300 mode name is actually kind of just a copyright circumvention thing. It's a Roland GS compatible mode, but obviously for legal reasons they can't *say* that, so they just name it after their module that basically cloned GS/SC compatibility. The sample sets used in the MU series and the TG line are radically different.

    Here's a TG300 playing Descent's first level: https://youtu.be/WBdOyNtCxmM

And a MU doing the same: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp0dqcHI8pI

Looks like they used D1X-Rebirth in that video which I recall trying to send GS resets at the start of every song, so the MU should be in TG300 mode in that video. But I can make some recordings of my MU90 versus the TG300 if you want.

I want to say the TG actually has higher quality samples on ROM. I believe it's 44khz where as the MUs up until the 100 are 32khz.

  6. Hello all!

Looking to unload a couple of things I have laying around that I don't use/play often. Maybe someone here will find a nice use for them ^^

All sold out for now! Might add some more later

Drop me a DM if interested! PayPal only.

    Thanks!

  7. I'm glad to see people here seem to like the music! Working with the POKEY was a lot of fun, jank and all ^^;

I'm hopeful we'll see more games in the future using it, I would love to have another chance to use it in a commercial title.

Matt, Mike, I would like to say congratulations on the port's final stage before release. I also congratulated Dave himself on all the numerous versions that he and others have made. Plus, I also told him that the Lynx and TG-16/PC-Engine also had 65C02 processors, meaning that Attack of the PETSCII Robots can be ported to those systems, but have to be optimized for their strengths.

Just sayin' that I am ALWAYS available if someone wants to hire me to do music for a PC Engine version... I would love to contribute something to my beloved white box.

That's a good deal on a PowerMac G3. Someone should snag that now. If it were the desktop model I'd be all over it!

Thanks!! I'm hoping someone goes for it, I have it pretty much ready to ship with a big box and a ridiculous amount of heavy duty bubble wrap (and styrofoam). Just waiting on the right person for it ^^
