  1. Oh, a Roland device! I dig it. Do you know what sound set it might be using? I'm guessing it's probably close to an SC-55/55mkII.
  2. I normally don't bump this fast, but I added a bunch of new items in the past few days. Mostly some Mega Drive imports and Vita games that some people seem to be after.
  3. I think this is the least "review" review I've ever seen. It's just the guy talking about the game and saying things are cool with no critique.
  4. Welcome to the forums. Just a couple of things: 1: Buy/sell topics belong in the Marketplace, not the system forums. 2: It's helpful for the people buying if you post pictures of the items. 3: If you only want to sell locally, then let people know what state and preferably city you're in. Keep in mind that the marketplace isn't often used for local transactions, people are usually shipping their stuff across to people in different states. The marketplace is kinda like eBay, just without the fees and the buyers who want to abuse a broken refund system.
  5. Bumping again. Changed some prices; some are higher, some are lower, though I'm still trying to keep below eBay prices for everything while not ripping myself off.
  6. Oh wow, that Pentium II is great! The only thing I would change on it is replacing the Crystal card with a good SoundBlaster 16 ISA, but that's more because I'm the #1 SB16 FM fanboy and refuse to build an old PC that doesn't have a proper OPL3 chip in it in some fashion. I'd definitely buy the rig though if I didn't already have a very similar one.
  7. You made a good choice, I think. No point in keeping stuff you don't want, and having things just to have them. I learnt that pretty fast myself and ended up selling off a lot of excess to people here, and now I just have a small collection of stuff I like and actually want to play. Having a small collection makes it easy to sort through things and transport them too! I learned from moving recently that carrying boxes of stuff isn't fun.
  8. Bad luck with shipping lately... USPS lost a package, and now UPS has yet to deliver a package that's been out for delivery for 10 hours. This is the longest I've had to wait for a package from them :/

Lame. Mine too has been troublesome. I got a package of gifts from Best Buy for the family and it was missing one of the items. I had to wait several days and 2 customer service calls. >_>

That's nothing. One time I had a package that was "out for delivery" for over a month before usps dropped it off!

  9. Got this iScan HD from a Goodwill for a whopping $14 two days ago. I know it's not the most amazing video converter ever, but I love it, especially for what I use it for! I have my Xbox hooked up to it right now so I can play games from it on my VGA monitor and it looks superb in 480p. 480i looks great as well, and 240p is good enough. Plus, by using an Extron RGB unit, I can use that to convert VGA to RGBS, plug that into the iScan, and then using the Component output, I can capture good quality footage off of my computer and Dreamcast.
  10. Bought Beatmania IIDX 9th Style and Ace Combat Zero today. Now I just gotta wait for them to come in the mail!
  11. Bump. Changed some prices; some went lower, some went slightly higher. Still trying to stay at least below the average eBay prices, but if you disagree with anything then offers are open as usual.
  12. Yeah, this all seems a bit fishy to me. I guess it is worth noting that I've bought from this guy before (I got a Saturn to PSX controller adapter), and he was very kind and easy to work with. I hope he hasn't changed just for the sake of some easy money.
  13. Well, I think you answered your own question there Snark aside, I would ask him to record a video of the game and post it on YouTube to prove its legitimacy. I saw the listing you're talking about and I think it's totally possible he's faking it.
  14. How the heck is Freelancer not on this list? And where's Freespace 1 & 2? I really don't understand how someone could make a best space games list and not include any of those.
  15. No problem! There's a pretty good guide on setting it up at this page: https://kb.speeddemosarchive.com/Amarectv_configuration The only thing I disagree with on that page is using the Lagarith codec/video compressor. I would suggest downloading x264vfw and using that instead unless you HAVE to have lossless video. x264 looks nice and has a small file size; you can see it and AmaRec in action in this review I made here: I used a Dazzle as my capture device in that video but it doesn't really matter. Basically any capture device that doesn't support HDMI or Component will work with AmaRec since all AmaRec does is restore the footage back to its native 240p at 60FPS, instead of the ugly 480i at 30FPS that capture cards normally spit out.
  16. What capture device is it? You can get 60FPS out of most of the cheaper ones by using AmaRec TV's deinterlacer.
  17. Saw a JVC X'eye at a thrift store for $50 today... part of me feels like I missed out on a great deal, but the other part is telling me I'd never use it. Also, it costs 50 precious dollars that I could use to buy a game that I'd actually play, or a console I'd actually use.

I bought one and love it (even if I rarely use it)...And Yeah I paid way more than that for it!

The X'Eye is a nifty system, and it's about as much Genesis as anyone would ever need (who needs a 32X, anyway?). But if you're not going to use it...

JVC x'eye for $50 is a no brainer even if you hate the Genesis.

  18. Very cool to see more people talking about PC-88 stuff!
  19. Got one of those Miracle Piano things. It costed $20 at a Goodwill and I'm always up for a new keyboard/synthesizer so I bought it.
  20. Was just going to post this. It's a much better alternative to the pricey boot discs, especially since the thing towmater posted lets you run games in 240p with cleaner visuals than the GBP disc. You can either use an SD Media Launcher (which I think ships from the UK? not sure), or you can use a WiiKey or SD Gecko and the Action Replay which is basically what the SD Media Launcher is: an SD Gecko and AR packaged in a fancy way.
