  1. I had some surprising luck today. Cassette deck was only $5, Voodoo 3 2000 (working!) was only 75 cents, and the PS1 game was $2. I do already have a Voodoo 3 with more features and higher power, but I'd like to have a secondary one as a backup in case mine dies.
  2. PS2 - Component Saturn - S-Video NES - RCA Not a whole lot, but that's because I have very few ports on my CRT.
  3. Buuump. Still a few things left to sell. EDIT: I also removed some redundant information and tidied things up. Price lowered on Kirby.
  4. I hope you have luck selling this, very nice price and the keyboard looks to be in tip top shape. If I had a good reason (and the money) to get this I would
  5. Bump again, still got a bunch of games left. Mainly assorted console stuff.
  6. Forgot to post these earlier, but I got a few odds and ends of PS1 games: Soukaigi JP, Mobile Suit Gundam Version 2.0 JP, Off-World Extreme Interceptor US, and Ball Blazer Championship US. I got both of the imports off of eBay at a decent price since I've been looking for more obscure games to play, and the two domestic games at the goodwill because they looked fun. I have no clue what either of the games play like or are about, I just thought the screenshots and advertisement blurbs were cool so I intend to try them when I have free time.
  7. Thunder Force IV has a lot of instruments that are VERY easy to distort, mainly because of how much feedback they have. If I remember correctly, one of the FM operators in the distortion guitars is nothing but static, playing alongside a few melodic operators. Sounds awful on a few emulators, but great on a good Genesis/Mega Drive. By the way, how are you recording the audio exactly? Are you using the headphones out on the front of the system, and plugging that into a line in port on your computer? That would be the most preferable way to get the sound and it's how I do it.
  8. Sold him a PC game. Fast transaction and nice communication, thanks!
  9. Sold him an as-is Coleco with a bunch of games. Great buyer, fast payment, and nice communication. Thanks!
  10. Sold him a bunch of big box PC games. Really friendly, great communication, and fast payment. Would definitely do business with again!
  11. Sold Lios a SEGA Saturn. Great communication and smooth transaction all around.
  12. Not sure if anyone has posted this before, but Pixelated Audio is fantastic. It's all about retro game music, and they occasionally have composers on the podcast. Great stuff if you enjoy the more technical side of chiptune music. pixelatedaudio.com One of my favorite episodes: http://pixelatedaudio.com/illusion-blaze/
  13. How are you converting the signal to HDMI? If you're using one of those generic, cheapo SCART > HDMI converters then there's your issue. If you really wanna capture old games in SCART through HDMI then you're going to need either 240p-capable capture card (XCAPTURE-1, PEXHDCAP), an upscaler like the Framemeister, or a line-doubler like the OSSC.
  14. Debating as to whether or not I should buy a Component switcher. It'd be nice to just press a button and switch systems, but at the same time I'm basically paying $20 + power costs for convenience and slightly less (if not negligable?) wear and tear on my cables and TVs inputs.

    1. BurritoBeans

      BurritoBeans

I recently bought one because the frontpanel composite/S-Video jacks on my TV decided to just not work and I hate swapping cables in the back - it's so much nicer for the $15 or whatever I paid

    2. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

I have 3 in different rooms...They're a must for multiple systems!

      Skippy B. Coyote

I think I paid around $20 for mine a few years back and it was worth every penny. It makes swapping between systems a total breeze and has saved a lot of wear and tear on my back not having to lean over behind the TV to swap cables anymore.

  15. Just search "SnevenTracker" on youtube and you'll find a bunch of videos. This one has a .SNM file you can download if you wanna open it in the program; I can also make something real quick to show off a few features in it.
  16. One of the best tunes in any Nintendo game imo. I love this track, though I think the Saturn version is a bit better. Sadly I can't find any good uploads of that one; they all seem to have too much twang and vibrato on the instruments but maybe I'm just mis-remembering how it sounded.
  17. There's no import function last time I checked, nor is there a way to convert NES music to SN7 music. You could always make a cover by ear though like most people have done (I linked one below). I might give that a shot sometime if I can be buggered to learn another chip to compose on
  18. Sorry if this is a bit of a necrobump but there's actually a proper SN7 tracker out there, based on Famitracker. https://github.com/HertzDevil/SnevenTracker/releases/ Not sure if there's a way of playing SN7 VGMs on the Coleco, but if there is or someone makes one then you could play music made in this on a real Coleco (or any other system that uses the SN7).
  19. Bump and update. Some of the stuff has sold now but there's still quite a bit left, and I updated a few prices to make them fairer.
  20. Thanks! I try to make things as comfy as possible so I can just kick back and relax.
  21. If you wanna get quick prices for games, then use Pricecharting. I wouldn't take it as a bible for prices but it can give you a rough idea of what game is worth what, and if you see any games that are worth something according to it, then you can look at sold listings on eBay to get a more accurate idea of what that game is going for.
  22. I have to use two capture cards: Hauppague HD PVR 1212 and a Dazzle DVC100. I use the 1212 for every 480i and above console that supports Component (the exception is my Mega Drives, which bizarrely work in Component 240p), and the Dazzle handles every S-Video/Composite system. Since it interprets it as 480i, I still need to find a way to deinterlace that. I hear AmaRec TV does a great job at deinterlacing 480i to 240p.
  23. Valis 3 made me rage quit a lot because of one of the last levels. This place friggin SUCKS because of how precise the platforming is. One of the chasms you have to cross requires a nearly pixel perfect dash which I can never get just right; I think I've actually come close to breaking a controller because of it. I linked the exact part so you can see it; remember that there's also a really slight input delay that makes platforming harder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PXy7jsQVQg?t=293 Other than that, I don't think many games have made me rage quit. I stay relaxed when playing most games, and if I start to get angry I just stop playing on the spot and come back later.
