  1. Debating as to whether or not I should buy a Component switcher. It'd be nice to just press a button and switch systems, but at the same time I'm basically paying $20 + power costs for convenience and slightly less (if not negligable?) wear and tear on my cables and TVs inputs.

I recently bought one because the frontpanel composite/S-Video jacks on my TV decided to just not work and I hate swapping cables in the back - it's so much nicer for the $15 or whatever I paid

I have 3 in different rooms...They're a must for multiple systems!

I think I paid around $20 for mine a few years back and it was worth every penny. It makes swapping between systems a total breeze and has saved a lot of wear and tear on my back not having to lean over behind the TV to swap cables anymore.

  2. Just search "SnevenTracker" on youtube and you'll find a bunch of videos. This one has a .SNM file you can download if you wanna open it in the program; I can also make something real quick to show off a few features in it.
  3. One of the best tunes in any Nintendo game imo. I love this track, though I think the Saturn version is a bit better. Sadly I can't find any good uploads of that one; they all seem to have too much twang and vibrato on the instruments but maybe I'm just mis-remembering how it sounded.
  4. There's no import function last time I checked, nor is there a way to convert NES music to SN7 music. You could always make a cover by ear though like most people have done (I linked one below). I might give that a shot sometime if I can be buggered to learn another chip to compose on
  5. Sorry if this is a bit of a necrobump but there's actually a proper SN7 tracker out there, based on Famitracker. https://github.com/HertzDevil/SnevenTracker/releases/ Not sure if there's a way of playing SN7 VGMs on the Coleco, but if there is or someone makes one then you could play music made in this on a real Coleco (or any other system that uses the SN7).
  6. Bump and update. Some of the stuff has sold now but there's still quite a bit left, and I updated a few prices to make them fairer.
  7. Thanks! I try to make things as comfy as possible so I can just kick back and relax.
  8. If you wanna get quick prices for games, then use Pricecharting. I wouldn't take it as a bible for prices but it can give you a rough idea of what game is worth what, and if you see any games that are worth something according to it, then you can look at sold listings on eBay to get a more accurate idea of what that game is going for.
  9. I have to use two capture cards: Hauppague HD PVR 1212 and a Dazzle DVC100. I use the 1212 for every 480i and above console that supports Component (the exception is my Mega Drives, which bizarrely work in Component 240p), and the Dazzle handles every S-Video/Composite system. Since it interprets it as 480i, I still need to find a way to deinterlace that. I hear AmaRec TV does a great job at deinterlacing 480i to 240p.
  10. Valis 3 made me rage quit a lot because of one of the last levels. This place friggin SUCKS because of how precise the platforming is. One of the chasms you have to cross requires a nearly pixel perfect dash which I can never get just right; I think I've actually come close to breaking a controller because of it. I linked the exact part so you can see it; remember that there's also a really slight input delay that makes platforming harder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PXy7jsQVQg?t=293 Other than that, I don't think many games have made me rage quit. I stay relaxed when playing most games, and if I start to get angry I just stop playing on the spot and come back later.
  11. Added photos for all of the PC games. I tried to show off every big cosmetic issue with the games, though if you spot something and wanna know more about it then lemme know and I'll take a close up. I also bumped the prices on a few things down.
  12. People here seem to like collections so here's mine! I plan to move some of these things when I get my room repainted and the floors redone. I'm not gonna move anything prior to that because some of this stuff is really heavy and hard to move around. Picture of my room as a whole. This has pretty much all of my stuff, including my two CRTs, a keyboard, my PC shelf/console shelf, and a bunch of other stuff. This shelf has a good majority of my PC games, including all of my big box games. Since they take up a ton of room I'm selling off the ones I don't play and keeping the ones that I really like. Pretty much anything left on this shelf is never gonna get sold. My shelf. Top row is all the PC games I'm selling, middle row is a few Gundams and a lot of boxes, bottom is my PS1 and NES. This shelf holds most of my consoles and a couple games I like having on display. That includes Sakura Wars Limited Edition Reprint for the Saturn, Madoka Magica Portable Limited Edition for PSP, Fate/Extella Noble Phantasm Edition for PS Vita, a Japanese PS2 box, and Fate/Unlimited Codes Special Edition. Fate/UC and Madoka both came with figures that I have on display. The other two things on the shelf are Master Gundam and Burning Gundam model kits. The full list of consoles on the shelf is: Japanese PS2 Slim (Silver) Dreamcast Mega Drive VA6 Genesis VA6 Japanese Saturn Model 1 Softmodded Xbox 1.6 Sadly this shelf and therefore the consoles are obscured by the placement of my desk and the CRTs, which I'll fix when I get my room reorganized. My very tiny collection of Saturn and PS1 games. Just like with PC games I'm sticking with the games that I play and like, so even though it's a small collection I still enjoy it a lot. There's also a couple PS1 games there. Nothing too special but still fun. Because Saturn and PS1 games are getting more expensive, I like to focus on cheap, lesser known games over the big budget expensive ones. There's a few exceptions there, but even then I bought those games for way less than their average price. Being patient can get you quite far. The whole rest of my Sony stuff, aside from some PS2 games that I didn't dig up. 11 Vita games, 2 PS2 imports, 3 PS3 games, 3 PSP games, and 1 PS4 game. All of my Genesis/Mega Drive stuff. I mostly stuck to imports because they were cheaper, but I caved in and got a few American games as well due to the prices of them. Plus, two of three Genesis games in the photo are exclusive to America and Europe. Overall, it's not huge but I'm happy with it and don't plan to add much to it. Maybe a few more games and some things for convenience like a Component switcher.

This is where I do most of my retro gaming, in my room. To the far right is my PC shelf, in the middle is my keyboard, to the left are two CRTs (left is a 21 inch TV, right is a 17 inch PC monitor), and obscured in the far left is my shelf with all of my consoles.
  21. I paid about $40 for mine, but it was console only and it's the Japanese version; I think you can find a Japanese one for $50 with a controller and cables if you're patient, though US systems are harder to come by at that price. As for S-Video, just use RetroBits cable. I bought one off of Amazon, and aside from a pin getting bent once (no idea what happened but I got it back into place pretty easy), it's great.
  22. Pretty sweet collection! I wasn't even aware this console had any physical game releases, for some reason I thought everything was digital. How are the games on it?
  23. Selling off some games I don't play anymore and are taking up space. I'd rather they go to a new home and to someone who will play/use them instead of sit around and collect dust. Buyer pays shipping (will do international) and I take payment via PayPal. Prefer it if the payment is sent as a payment - I'll pay the fees. I'm willing to take offers too, though I already have the prices dropped low so don't stretch it too far! I'll test every game that I can test before payment and shipping to verify that it works - if anything is wrong then I'll let you know immediately. Ask for pictures and ye shall recieve, it's time consuming to photograph every game individually before they're even close to sold but I'll try to get them ASAP upon request. Strikethrough means pending sale but not yet sold. PS2: Drummania (JP import) - $2 Lethal Skies (no manual) - $2 Final Fantasy X Greatest Hits - $2 Ys III (JP import) - $20 JoJo Ougon no Kaze (JP import) - $10 PC jewel case: $1 each. Beast Wars Transformers Close Combat Pandora's Box Police Quest Collection + SWAT Robots Red Baron II Star Trek Armada Star Wars Force Commander Star Wars Rebel Assault 2 Werewolf PC DVD case: Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 - $3 Command and Conquer 3 (UK release) - $5 Command and Conquer the First Decade (double width DVD case) - $5 Darwinia - $2 Fallout Trilogy - $5 LEGO Rock Raiders (UK release) - $4 MechWarrior 4 Compilation - $15 (small box game. box is a bit banged up but it's still decent) Misc: Megadimension Neptunia VII - $10 (PS4) Trauma Center Second Opinion - $4 (Wii) Kirby's Epic Yarn - $5 Animal Crossing New Leaf Welcome Amiibo - $10 (3DS) Item Getter - $2 (DS import) Mushroom Men - $2 (DS) Gundam Blue Destiny Trilogy - $15 (Saturn) Mobile Suit Gundam - free with Blue Destiny Trilogy, $2 otherwise (Saturn)

  25. Bumping again. Removed Diablo + Diablo Hellfire. Other than that, everything is still here.
