  1. $486 at the moment. On the topic of the cartridge itself. If it does get dumped. I'd be interested to see if its actually a "colour" cartridge or not. As going by the label part number it was one of the later releases so may have been intended for the "studio iii"
  2. I don't think it's surprising for demonstration carts to appear elsewhere as I assume they were given to shops/sales people to demonstrate what the systems can do. Possibly some shops sold their demo cart when they were getting rid of their stock. Would be really interesting to get it dumped and find out what it actually does. Only one left then will be the diagnostics cartridge. Which if any survive are probably in some old electricians tool box in a shed/loft/attic/storage somewhere.
  3. Is it possible to see some pics of a pdf of the inside of the manual?
  4. It exists in someone's personal collection, as we have scans of the thing but sadly they have never come forward or they dont know about this topic.
  5. would the same offer be available to whoever (or anyone) who owns the Demonstration cart (or even the Tester I cart)?
  6. It's a shame the anonymous owner of that Demo cart hasn't come forward to help dump it. Although I know some collectors do want to remain anonymous, there are some people s/he could mesage privately and help get it dumped without revealing the identity. I have no idea if a diagnostics cart is any collectors' hands. Never seen a photo of it.
  7. Still havn't made the overview video for the Apollo 80 I wanted to make but here is the missing raw footage of Biorhythm. (ignore the first minute of the video) You have to remember this is what all US carts would look like if played on a Euro system. Colours even match the cover art:
  8. The Visicom is an altered studio II. Like Toshiba bought the rights to it.. then modified it a bit to their own liking.. took some of the games and made some new games that are Visicom exclusive. Probably possible to hack the roms to make them work on US/Euro systems.
  9. I'd like to see some new games in colour/sound
  10. It was just one of the games that was made/designed for the Studio III / II but just scrapped/sold off when the whole project/system was scrapped.
  11. Well he is sitting on the floor with a bingo card on the floor with him.. staring into nothing (assume an invisible TV)
  12. There are some very reliable people on this site who can help with any technical issues. What I am interested in knowing is if this version plays the "Bingo was his name-o" (which should be achieved by pressing button 4 on keypad A (from memory). However as the Studio II only plays a sound that consists of one frequency it will sound awful.. but still play. If it doesn't play then the rom on that cartridge is slightly different to the World version.
  13. In general what are peoples opinions on it now? Possibly an early test batch (of maybe 50?) that got made before the system got scrapped and then given away to employees who wanted them? Seems to finished for a prototype.
  14. He's added more photos to the auction which show sides/few more of the cards/back of cards/other side of manual... Manual doesn't seem mention anything about the "tune" it made but it might have been an "undocumented" feature. As on the Studio II it would have just beeps at one note/frequency. Hi, yep very nice find. However I think should perhaps cancel the auction for now and help the retro-preservation community help preserve this gem. After that.. well you're free to do what you want with it.
  15. its not the label sticker part number tho (how nerdy are we getting when we're wondering THOSE numbers) XD
  16. Probably have to look at other RCA products at the time and see if there was a change in numbering across all their products. Other Part numbers for instructions/manuals that I am aware of Part # Paperwork 3E4796 TV Bingo Instructions 3E4589 Service Manual Instructions 3E4573 Biorhythm Instructions 3E4572 Gunfighter/Moonship Instructions 3E4571 Speedway/Tag Instructions 3E4331 Math Fun Instructions 1E4475 Blackjack 1E4393 Baseball Instructions (Might be IE4393) SPS-3120 Tennis/Squash Instructions SPS-3075 TV School House Orange Series Instructions SPS-3074 TV School House Yellow Series Instructions SPS-3073 Fun with Numbers Instructions SPS-3072 Space War Instructions SPS-3071 Unknown / Might Be Unused SPS-3013 Studio II System Manual
  17. well I've noted down the part numbers of the game labels and Bingo does seem to be the last one made Part # Game (Side) Copyright 1808517-24 TV Bingo (front) none 1808517-23 TV Bingo (back) none 1808517-22 Biorhythm (front) 1977 1808517-21 Biorhythm (back) 1977 1808517-20 Demonstration Cart (f) none 1808517-19 Demonstration Cart (b) none 1808517-18 Blackjack (front) 1977 1808517-17 Blackjack (back) 1977 1808517-16 Math Fun (front) 1977 1808517-15 Math Fun (back) 1977 1808517-14 Gunfighter/Moonship (f) 1977 1808517-13 Gunfighter/Moonship (b) 1977 1808517-12 Speedway/Tag (front) 1977 1808517-11 Speedway/Tag (back) 1977 1808517-10 Baseball (back) 1977 1808517-9 Baseball (front) 1977 SPS-3122 Tennis/Squash (front) 1977 SPS-3121 Tennis/Squash (back) 1977 SPS-3070 School House I (back) 1976 SPS-3069 School House I (front) 1976 SPS-3068 Fun with Numbers (b) 1976 SPS-3067 Fun with Numbers (f) 1976 SPS-3066 Space War (back) 1976 SPS-3065 Space War (front) 1976
  18. Well looking through photos I have the only other game to semi-do this was Biorhythm which only mentions "Studio II" on the box but not on the cart or instructions. Biorythm along with Bingo were designed for the "Studio III"
  19. Have noticed that with the exception of the diagram in the manual the words "Studio II" don't seem to be mentioned anywhere on the box/cards/cartridge/etc
  20. "The game is worth as much as someone is willing to pay and I have no idea what that number may be as this game has NEVER sold at auction or maybe anywhere. " that line amuses me... has no idea how much its worth so starts it at 3500 USD.
  21. I really doubt there are 2 label variations for this. It's most likely a case of memory filling in gaps of information that really wasn't HIGHLY important at that moment in time.
  22. There is an upload on this topic from some guide on how to repair (electronics) that went over what the diagnostics cart did with some 'screenshots' The test apparently required a higher ampage adapator for whatever reason.
