  1. This is all the current information I have for the Euro/Aus Clone system games: I don't have photographic evidence of every title existing (I've never seen Bingo for Sheen/Conic for example).
  2. In contact with someone and trying to buy their (well their sons/childrens) old Academy Apollo 80 and if they accept my offer, I hope to get a lot of preservation information/comparison information out of it.. This is the photo they sent me of it: This is the first reasonable photo I have ever seen of the console.
  3. I did post this info a while back.. the e-mail used on the usenet post was: dan-jen@mindspring.com Googling danmcintyre@mindspring.com brings up the following results (http://www.siclook.com/state-nj/dan-mcintyre_xLlg.html): Both sites are still up. The names on dannyandjenny.com are: Jennifer Rosenblum and Danny Rosenthal whois information on susanmcintyre.com: Tech Name: Dan McIntyre Tech Organization: Dan McIntyre Tech Street: 102 N Hayden Bay Drive Tech City: Portland Tech State/Province: OR Tech Postal Code: 97217 Tech Country: US Tech Phone: +1.5032869833 Tech Phone Ext: Tech Fax: +1.5032867622 Tech Fax Ext: Tech Email: dan@mcintyredirect.com whois information on dannyandjenny.com (seems to be a conincidence with the dan-jen e-mail..) 4. I'm looking forward to seeing all the material you've found. I have been thinking about the missing "Demonstration Cart" and "Tester I" carts. We don't know how many still survive/in the hands of collectors. I can guess that someone with these extremely rare carts that might be reading this topic probably doesn't want to annouce it publically to prevent lots of mesages asking to buy it. So if they do want to be quiet about it I would recommend they contact "ranger_lennier" who has helped get the missing euro carts dumped. Also if they have the "Tester I" cart to get a nice scan of the back/front of it. Luckily we do know what Tester I did so technially someone could recreate it if all copies truly have been lost. However never found any information on what the Demonstration Cart did. I do have some vague memory of a b/w photo of a Studio II with a cartridge in it and the RCA logo on the sceen.. so maybe that was a demo cart... however I've not been able to find this picture.. so it's possible I am remembering wrong I just imagined it.
  5. GrandPack rom is on this topic somewhere.. The rom files I have aren't accessable at the moment. edit: Here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/209519-rca-studio-ii-gold-mine-an-interview-with-the-studio-2-production-manager/?p=2803502 It's been a while since I had a look at sumo.. From memory it's pretty easy to play but I couldn't work out why some moves worked sometimes and sometimes they didn't. It's probably due to the position of the characters on the screen or something.
  6. Sorry for the multiple-posting I've updated the Rom Dumped List just to keep people aware of what is missing.. which is mostly the Visicom games and the two special carts for the Studio II.
  7. Nothing new as it's been mentioned before but inregards to Sheen/Conic/Mustang. They were all part of the "M-1200 sub-family" as I like to class them as. They used the same moulds for the consoles. Then Sheen M-1200 and Conic M-1200 intially had identical packaging. The Mustang 9016 had different packaging but had the same "artwork" on the console itself. At some point Sheen repacked their consoles and games with newer artwork. I do not know if the Conic also repacked their system as I've never seen any evidence of this. Original game packaging for Sheen/Conic:
  8. I still have my Apollo 80 cart scans for download which you can use: http://www.thelimeydragon.com/apollo80scans.zip
  9. The "Euro/Australian" clones do seem to be 100% "Studio III"s. Apart from minor differences/designs of the system, they mostly have the same stuff in them. They all share identical cartridge casings from whatever factory was actually making them in Hong Kong. The Japanese clone is somewhat special. As effort was made by someone (the assumption would be Toshiba) to modify(and improve??) the Studio III as it's designed differently and games are not cross compatible because of this. The colours are different. The carts are different. The pin outs are different. The way the memory is mapped is different. Sadly we still only have 1 rom dump for the Visicom.
  10. I've occasionally tried to find more information/better photos of the Academy Apollo 80 euro-clone system but have had 0 luck.
  11. Stupus has mentioned that he has friends with Soundic MPT-02s and they have the in-built games. Grand Pack seems to be a completely unique French Hanimex title. Which I assume came with the system. One theory I had regarding the "pink" screen is that.. they are photos of a SECAM TV. The only way to prove it is to get a clone system and connect it to one and then connect it to a PAL TV.
  12. I had a quick search of obituaries in the USA.. I couldn't find any Dan(iel) McIntyres that might be him.
  13. Well I've had a hunt and I can't find the photo I am thinking of.. It was a black/white photo... I think from a newspaper of an RCA being demonstrated.. and I'm sure it had the demo program/cart running... Although maybe I never saw this photo and I am thinking of something else.
  14. going back to Dan Mcintyre again... I found the correct old e-mail address and it's: dan-jen@mindspring.com (searching this just finds other people who tried to find him years ago) Now this is interesting because in my previous post there was a site called DANNYANDJENNY.COM that was linked with Dan Mcintye however the surname was completely different... perhaps this was an alias..or just a coincidence. and another usenet post he made after PC2
  15. Also found this on this topic whilst trying to find the photo where there is a demo-cart in use. So even if all copies of the cart have been lost... at least we know what it did.
  16. From the RCA Studio II service manual: Interesting to note is that the cart requires a Power Unit. I'm sure I have seen a b/w photo with the "Demo" cart... in the background... outputting something different on the screen... it might even be on this post.
  17. Well the guy's partial e-mail address according to the usenet post was: dan...@mindspring.com doing a search for the obvious brings up this page: http://nj.bizdirlib.com/m/business_directory/Dan_McIntyre on that page it lists two websites: DANNYANDJENNY.COM (dormant website and it's a different "Danny") SUSANMCINTYRE.COM (relatives website/business)... The susan mcintyre website redirects to another domain and on the who is info this information is available: Technical Contact: McIntyre, Dan dan@mcintyredirect.com 102 N Hayden Bay Drive Portland, OR 97217 US 5032869833 Fax: 5032867622 So.... there we go.. a lead ... but if someone is going to ring/make contact... say so in here... we don't want to pester the person if it is or isn't the guy we are after...
  18. Well this "find" post was made after the first PC, before anyone saw it at the 2nd PC.. so it does add up time wise. In the usenet thread linked in that post. The Dan guy apparently also has Demo cart that he was displaying at the show. I think the diagnostics cart was also a cart that you could buy from RCA for repairing your system.
  19. I am guessing it is Dan McIntyre then. Because of this: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?72720-RCA-Studio-II-bingo&p=1069588&viewfull=1#post1069588
  20. Here are the Scans of the Apollo 80 games/manuals/box in my possession. I'm sure someone with some photoshop magic will be able to restore the game box... both boxes I have are in a poor state of health. The only thing not scanned is the green plastic tray... I'll take a photo of that soon. Any questions about them I will be happy to answer... enjoy! http://www.thelimeydragon.com/apollo80scans.zip
  21. A Sheen M1200 and 1 game (Fun with numbers) is up for auction on ebay Australia. It's a bit dubious to what he lists as "factory sealed" tho.. Also the guy is only posting to Australia... so if you have any contacts there you may want to try and grab it... http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fitm%2FSheen-M-1200-Console-TV-Game-Not-Nintendo-Vintage-Circa-1977-Retro-Mint-Boxed-%2F161086602456%3Fpt%3DAU_Consoles%26hash%3Ditem2581827cd8
