Anyone think Ballblazer is possible on the 2600?
atwwong replied to Segataritensoftii's topic in Homebrew Discussion
I first saw this thread at the beginning when it was just a scrolling demo. Back then I was impressed. Now I am speechless! To see the labour of passion and effort (and all the history) that has gone into making Ballblazer for the 2600 a reality! Awesome!!! -

Emulation on the Atari Flashback 5

I've read the short blurb that's supposed to be the "instructions" for Return to Haunted House - they don't even match the game... -
Ordered... after Albert helped me shake the cobwebs outta my head so that I could remember my store login info...

As much as I don't want to give out any hints, you are very close in this post... -
Thanks for updating about the tv issue. (I'm back, just lurking now, as life is really busy.)

I checked the final Haunted Adventure Trilogy cart version out on many different systems as previously mentioned. Certain 7800's, including one that I owned that had a problematic timing chip because it was starting to fail, rolled the screen. Have you checked the game out on another Atari system or TV yet?

Haunted Adventure Trilogy game 5 is definitely winnable, as is the older Haunted Adventure II game 2. The old rom online for Haunted Adventure II was not properly synced so it will roll if burned to a cart and played on a real 2600. As for the HAT cart version: I tested it on many different 2600/7800 variations before when I made the carts. Timing differences in some of the chips of different machines (I found some 7800's were less compatible than 2600's) made it difficult since some programming tricks squeezed out all the required cycles for the NTSC version. The Atari Age version should work fine on all 2600's. Haunted Adventure is long and involved because I played Adventure too many times in my youth and always wanted to make my own adventure that was larger and had many more secrets.

The links to the manuals seem to be broken. Does anyone have any saved copies of these manuals? I just got a used flashback 2 and it did not come with the printed manual. I have the original FB2 Instruction Manual booklet, not the online pdf. If you want, I could scan it for you. It'll be only 7 pages (not counting the technical credits and warranty pages.) It'll have to wait until I get home from work. I've added links to the online manuals courtesy of the waybackmachine in the original FAQ posts: Online Manuals (courtesy of waybackmachine) Atari Flashback 2 Online Manual - this manual has more details than the retail instruction manual Atari Flashback 2 PDF manual - warning - 1.7Mb at 110 pages The online manual has resurfaced here in Australia: http://www.catchofth...wnersManual.pdf It is exactly the same file from waybackmachine above. I did not order this one having already obtained 2 from the US. I wonder if this is a PAL version or did they just release the NTSC version here. DP has both the version 1 (text) and version 2 (original website graphics) online manuals in pdf format here.

Well, now it's real in retail... iCADE - iPad Arcade Cabinet I saw these at the local Future Shops in the Vancouver area with Atari Flashback games loaded on them (the Flashback game apps). Too bad the i-CADE is only compatible with the iPad/iPad2... (Included one shot of the iPad screen in the i-CADE - yes it is self-gratuitous shot! ) [EDIT] SORRY, missed the other thread - my bad... [/EDIT]
