Most DVD players still have the old A/V connectors for input - let us know if you get yours working and how the quality is.

To save Curt the time - IIRC Atari was worried that they would have to deal with lawsuits for ~25 year old carts that weren't working on FB2's with cart connectors, but thankfully Curt and team made the boards so that a cart connector could be soldered on. I still haven't had the courage to do so... too worried about my unskilled hands...

+++ This is a great idea, Jose! This auction has been a lot of fun to watch. It got me to start bidding on some other Atari items, albeit nowhere near 31.6K. Thanks to brandonwright for posting the final minute - I had to take the wife to see a movie and missed it... And thanks to Tanman for finding the box in the first place. Although it doesn't seem too popular, I actually quite enjoy this game, especially the two player version. It can get quite hilarious... I like how Curt used the later prototype binary with the neat title screen vs. the FB2 version. There are other updates to binaries that others have mentioned as well. Maybe it's time for me to update the FAQ.

It has to be be the real deal. A fake ebay auction on such a valuable Atari item would also ship to Canada, not just the US...

(Apologies for the DP) Apparently, I wasn't the first who noticed: Here is an interesting discussion of someone discovering the FB2+ at Costco. They go on to reminisce about other old school gaming consoles; an interesting read from others' POV's.

My sister told me that our costco here winnipeg have them too!It's nice that we Canadians can finally get our hands on a FB2+ in stores after missing out on the pre-orders at the Atari site.

I have spotted and purchased them at a Costco in Metro Vancouver, Canada.

I found a bunch of Flashback 2+'s at the Costco in Richmond, BC retailing for under $30. Apparently they have been there since Friday. Needless to say that I am now a very happy camper and I thank Atari for making them available in Canada. I left 13 units behind because I was in a sharing mood...
