Did some measuring. I have 9" of space behind the 360. Just under 6" to each side and well over a foot of clearance on top. Do I have to devote a whole room to this console? People talk about luck but I think it's just a matter of when your 360 breaks not if. That's not luck. Those who sit there and think "I have never had a problem with mine some people don't know how to take care of things" - your day will come. I just hope mine comes back before Halo 3 is released but I'm doubting that.

I'm not doing anything wrong with my systems. The 360 is in the same spot my PS2 was and my xbox was and my Gamecube was. None of those died. I got my coffin yesterday so I'll drop it off at the UPS store monday and begin waiting again. Also thought it was cool I got a beta invite in my email today for Call of Duty 4. Stinks no console to play it on

I don't plan on upgrading to a "falcon" out of my own pocket. Once the new hardware is available I plan on putting duct tape on the vents and wrapping my 360 in Saran Wrap. Turn it on and place in direct sunlight. Return to Microsoft after death. Repeat as necessary until I receive a "falcon" unit in return. There is a guy on teamxbox forums who does nothing but this with one of his xboxes. I think he's on number 10 or 11 right now.

Well I downloaded the Skate demo and played around a little bit. An hour or so later I tell my wife that I'm going to go to the Mall and pick up Bioshock. I turn on the 360 so my kid can watch the Cars DVD while I'm gone and there it was...three red lights again. Pretty sad when the xbox rep on the phone assumes it's happened before - "So this has happened before you know the drill right". Thank goodness it happened before I got Bioshock. If I had the game in hand and couldn't play it I would go crazy. In all seriousness when is PS3 going to get some good games so I can get rid of this crappy piece of hardware? Luckily I should have my 360 back before Halo3 but after I beat single player I'm thinking of trading my setup in on a PS3. At least the system will turn on for the two games or so I'd like to play. I'm just bummin because I can't play Bioshock. Stupid junky console.

Now that Paramount and Dreamworks are going exclusively to HD-DVD is the format still doomed.

I read that Toys R US broke the date by a week. If I wasn't stuck working I would have ran out an got a copy.

If all you did was run around and hit stuff with the wrench until the demo ended then I'm not surprised you didn't have much fun. I think for the people that take the time to enjoy the stuff in this game it will be fun. Not ground breaking or GOTY material, but a good romp nontheless. Those who play it like Serious Sam will get a Serious Sam like experience. You could probably solve Oblivion in right quick order if all you do is the main quest. It doesn't mean the other 100 hours of material are worthless.

I was a little worried that the combat would be too hard, what with all the different things to do and use. I like the setup with the left and right triggers though. It's pretty easy to get the hang of. Anybody else here digging how they hid the audio diaries all around. I like games where you can take your time and search through the nooks and crannies and find more immersive stuff. It's one of the reasons the elder scrolls games suck me right in.

I was planning on getting this game. After playing the demo I'm positive I'm getting this game. They did a good job on Bioshock.

GoW is actually one of my favorite games. I liked just about everything about it, which is unusual for me. I didn't get all emotional or whatever like some I guess, but the gameplay was great and anytime buckets of blood get strewn about I have fun. Have not yet had a chance to get the sequel but am looking forward to that as well.

But come on Moycon, check out that 7.1 sound. Now I can hear when the actors farted during a scene. Once Blu-Ray masters Surround Smell 5.8 it'll be like we're right there. Gotta watch out for the "Silent but Deadly" ones.

Does this update work with the Jet Set Radio combo pack? WOW. I'm gonna try it out now. That's what I've been waiting for. Good deal on getting morrowind in there too.

1. PS3 price drop. I'd like to get one for a Blu-Ray player and for the eventual good exclusive but not at the current price point. 2. Xbox announcing some way to keep downloadable content without being on Live when my system dies the next time. Or just start making ones that don't quit on me. Either way. 3. Somebody makes game for the wii that I actually want to play. No not a party game where 4 people wave wii-motes and drink beer, but an actual game I can sit down and enjoy playing alone. 4. I'd like either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD to die and die quickly. I'm tired of this two format crap. It sucks for retailers. It sucks for customers. I don't care which one it is. As far as my pea brain is concerned they are both close enough to the same thing they might be identical. Just one of them die already. 5. I'd like a MMORPG for the 360. It also has to have no extra fees. I already give $50 a year to play on Live and that's al they are gonna get.

I don't think Microsoft is worried. It will take time but Nintendo will once again flood it's next system with last gen rehashes. I loved the N64. The sheer number of hours I logged on that system was incredible. I got the Gamecube and soon realized all the games were the same. Sure they looked better and there were some exceptions like RE4 and Metriod but overall it was N64 all over again. Now if you missed the N64 then the cube was a great system. Paper Mario for the N64 was great. Paper Mario for the GC was great, but the same thing. I'm sure Paper Mario Wii will be great but the same thing. Sure rather than press "B" or "x" you'll wave your wii-mote but same regardless. I don't look at it from a "Kiddie" or "Mature" perspective. I look at it from a "give me something else" perspective". I know millions of gamers like these games and I don't doubt that they are good. Having said that I don't think that coming out with a different control scheme to play old games will remain fresh for that long. I really enjoyed RE4 for the Cube. One of my top 10 games ever. Do I have any interest whatsoever in playing it with a wii-mote? Nope. The same Papermario with a different controller. The same Mario64 with a different controller. The same Mario Golf with a different controller. The same Mario Kart with a different controller. The same Mario Tennis with a different controller. The same Zelda with a different controller. The same Animal Crossing with a different controller. The same Star Fox with a different controller. I enjoyed all the above YEARS ago when they were on the 64. When Nintendo shows that the wii-mote can actually do amazing things that Microsoft's system cannot do then I think you will see Mr. Gates get concerned. I don't think Bill wakes up in a cold sweat over "Cooking Mama". Show me the games. I don't buy consoles for their controllers.

Did Miyamoto make good games? Yup. Does he still make good games? Not really. While I can appreciate what he did in the past all he is now is a name for Nintendo to throw out in order to sell games to raving fanboys who froth at the mouth for anything that has his name attached to it. It doesn't matter if all he did was stop by the developers offices to use their toilet, Nintedo will say he's involved just to make sure the rabid Shiggy lovers buy the game. I think it's starting to wear pretty thin. I love a good game of Donkey Kong but the new stuff is just not my cup of tea. While I can respect Miyamoto for what he has done in the past I can do no such thing for that douche bag Reggie. He has done nothing. Nintendo forums think he's like that dude who rose from the dead on Easter. Most every other gamer thinks he's a joke. Me included. He has never and could never kick my ass. I like God of War a whole lot. Don't know anything about Jaffee. Don't really want to know anything about him either. Just make some more sweet games like GoW or fade away. POST SCRIPT I love that movie Ice Pirates. That part where they go into the future and that one guys 'fro gets huge. That some good stuff right there.

I heard that Nyko fan can fry your xbox real quick. Of course it will die anyways but why hurry the process. I'm only on system number two so what do I know. Just do some research on the Nyko fan before buying though.

Thanks I didn't know RE5 was coming to the 360. I loved 2 on the PS2 and 4 on the cube. Final Fantasy holds no meaning to me anymore. I'd rather have something fresh in an RPG. I didn't really care that much for snake eater but for some reason the new Metal Gear just looks like it will be good. I think the animation looks like butt from what I've seen but the whole world your traversing looks really well done.

Picked it up and I like it alot. I've never played and of the other versions so it's new to me. I like how HARD the game is. My first time through just getting the hang of it I didn't even beat the first level. It's like a cell shaded metal slug that watched too much E.T. XBLA needs more titles like this.

Yeah powerboost is still there. I think it's the B button but I can't really remember. No putting does not tell you 4 left 3 down anymore. It gives you a grid that you must read. On the easy setting it gives you an ideal line to follow which I used at first to get accustomed to the putting. In 07 they did take that meter out that you filled up (kinda like a gamebreaker in the NBA games) which I'm glad I hated that instant hole in one garbage. I'd really take the 07 version over the 06 version on the 360. I like it when the spectators don't give me enough room when I shank one and I'm trying to punch it on the green. I let it fly right into them and watch them drop.
