[Building 5200 switchboxes...]

I plan to build one of the aluminum switchboxes I found in the 5200 FAQ. Has anyone else ever built one? How well do they work? I'm sure I'll have no trouble building it; I just want to make sure the output is up to par and whatnot.

I work for a railroad. Stan Jr, I guess he is a railfan.

Same here. The railfan part, I mean.

 

And the impetus for my acquiring a 5200 was definitely Adventure II.

On a standard 4port the RF and power both plug into the switchbox and then go through the same cable to the 5200. After the mod you have a seperate plug for the power on the 5200. The RF uses the same cable as before the mod.

Tried it, my browser isn't supported.  I refuse to use any site that doesn't code in HTML standards so I have to use a proprietary web browser.  That's just as bad as those websites that require you to install some really off the wall plugin.  Sorry, as a web developer (that's what I do at work ) this isn't acceptable.

Okay...maybe I'm just missing something here...but if that's the power mod, then where does the RF signal go? Is there a separate plug for it?
