  1. Aside from Rayman...are there any other platform games on the Jag that you guys would recommend?
  2. With many other electronics products, cable color codes are standardized. *shrug*
  3. Bloody hell...I was afraid of that. Oh well...I can rewire it without too much of a hassle, I think. Thanks!
  4. I worked on this over the weekend. I followed the instructions very closely, but with these two minor differences: The controller I used was a model NES-004, not a model NES-004E. They look exactly the same on the outside; they're both the standard rectangular model. The interior layout is the same as well, except that the NES-004 is missing the two resistors in the upper left (R1 & R2). Rather than hacking the cable off of my 7800 controller, I used a Sega Genesis extension cable (all the wires on the inside were color coded the same). End result? It didn't work. Pressing "right" on the controller registered as "up," and that's it. No other buttons responded. I checked with a multimeter, too; I wasn't even getting signals on the other pins! I'm thinking maybe the wires on the extension cable had the wrong color codes? Anyone else tried this successfully?
  5. Well, I think they're designated CX78, but I could be wrong. Anyways, you know what I'm talking about: the NES-like joypads released for the 7800 in Europe. I'm thinking of nabbing one or two...are they worth it? Good quality, control, ergonomics, etc?
  6. I've got a ton of systems, but not many games to part with... http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30822

  8. Now if only these controllers were readily available, without getting into bidding wars...

  10. Was there ever a product made to hold both joysticks side-by-side, so you can play the game arcade-style? Like a clip or something...
  11. Here's my list. PM or email me with offers. Thanks!
  12. You can get them from www.play-asia.com, as well. That's where I bought my front-lit GP32. CaSTaway ROCKS on the thing, too. Plus, it gets updated nearly every day! To answer your question, Han: You can either use PC-Link (the official software for your computer) to transfer files, or just buy a SmartMedia cardreader, which is a lot faster.

  14. The GP32 is $80 more expensive than a GBA, and the GP32 fronlit is $110 more expensive than a GBA SP. That's quite a large difference. Not that it stops me from wanting one, of course.
  15. Look here: http://www.deadcoderssociety.tk/ Plenty of Mac GP32 utilities. Plus, if all else fails, you can run Virtual PC.
  16. I need a photo of the main circuit board; specifically, of the resistor marked "R3." It's underneath the heat shield, so remove that, otherwise you won't see it. The resistor is on the top of the board, over on the left, directly above the "1993" copyright. If you can't provide a photo, I at least need to know the exact value of the resistor; mine needs to be replaced, and I don't have the old resistor anymore.
  17. Ah, okay. Which setting is which, since they're not labeled?
  18. What are those two switches for, next to the joystick ports on the 7800?
  19. And don't forget the recently released Rayman 3! Oh, if you can't find the original Rayman for PSX, the GBA version is a damn near perfect port.
  20. Not yet. But I will when I get home from work.
