1.) Does it work well with Mac OS X, as far as copying files to/from the system? 2.) Is it really worth picking up?
-
My personal faves: Mega Man Battle Network 1 & 2 (realtime battles...they rock!) Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis (the Final Fantasy Tactics games are based on the TO series) Advanced Wars (probably the best military turnbased strategy game around) Phantasy Star Collection

I know it's a longshot, but I figured I'd try! Up for trade: Atari 2600 (Sears TeleGames 6-switch) AC adapter 2 joysticks Asteroids Defender Mario Bros All items are in excellent condition. I can also get an RF switch if you need it (I built mine out of parts from Radio Shack), and possibly some paddles. Maybe a few more games, too...I'm flexible. I just bought a 7800, and I'd really like a 5200 to round it off, but I don't have much cash at the moment.
-
I'll get a 5200 eventually, I'm sure...just gotta take a break for a while. 13 consoles is enough for now!
-
What does that mean? I was watching some on eBay, and they all flew well over $100.

Well, the 5200 flew outta my price range too fast, so I had to settle for a 7800. Don't kill me, guys. I'm still going to make some 5200 mods, though. Should be fun.
-
I would have, but that was out of my price range at this point. So I ended up ordering a 7800. Don't hate me. I'm still going to attempt to build that 2600-to-5200 joystick adapter, though, so I'm sure I'll need a 5200 owner to test it for me.
-
I'm undecided. I want to "upgrade" from my 2600, to either a 5200 w/adapter or a 7800. Both systems have good libraries and whatnot...but I can't figure out which one to go with! Anyone have some recommendations? Pros/cons?

Doesn't the 7800 use the same RF switch as the 2600?
-
Just like the 5200 one. That's what I thought. Could you provide a zoomed-in shot, so I know which one to get rid of? And I assume this is a 5mm LED as well?
-
Yeah, I've seen your work. Very impressive indeed. I plan to make a similar adapter myself, as well as try to build the 2600-to-5200 joystick adapter.
-
Can you just swap the LED out, or do you need to do any other type of modification?
-
YES! Blue LEDs rock! You will tell me how you did that...
-
I know there's the various joystick mods...but are they any cool power LED replacement ones, video outs, etc? If I get one, I want to do all manner of cool modifications to it... (forgive me for cluelessnes...I've never even touched a 7800 before)
-
That's a possibility, too. I've been looking into the 7800s...as long as there's plenty of cool mods I can make.
-
I'm thinking of "upgrading" my 2600, by replacing it with a 5200 and 2600 adapter. How much should I be looking to spend? I don't want to get ripped off...

I dunno if anyone's seen these machines, but we've got a few up here in my lovely state of CT. They jack you 50 cents to play either game, which stinks. The other thing I noticed is that Ms Pac-Man seems to run VERY fast...at least twice normal speed! Anyone else play these? I think I need one for my house.

What exactly do you mean? Sorry...I had meant to post that response as a new thread. This should clarify things: http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24459

I accidentally posted this as a reply in another thread...oops. Anyway, is there an "all-in-one" controller solution for the 5200? I've heard all the horror stories about the stock sticks breaking. What I wanna know is: 1) Can you use the PC-to-5200 joystick converter along with a 2600 keypad, rather than an actual 5200 controller? 2) If so, do you need to "mod" a 2600 keypad? How? 3) Any other solutions? Sorry for being a pest. I appreciate any help. Thanks guys!

I just want to know one thing: Is there an all-in-one controller mod/fix/replacement?
-
I've never seen one of these at all and they're missing on the 2600 controler page as well: http://www.atariage.com/controller_list.ht...l?SystemID=2600 Does anybody have a picture of such a stick? I'm really curious how it looks like. Greetings, Manuel They're on this page: http://www.atariage.com/2600/archives/cont...lers_atari.html
