Anything? Be careful what you offer up as collateral in a forum that targets folks who collect these rarities on a daily basis! There is no doubt that somebody here, perhaps even me, has both of the items you desire! (not for sale tho...yet...sorry!) -
I'd be happy to help however I can. I've perfected (to the patience of the AtariAge community) the process of getting a really useable overlay with vibrant color. The end result is admittedly thinner than an original overlay, but if a collector's item is of no concern to you and a functioning overlay is desired, I've got it down to a science - and the countless paper/plastic cuts to prove it. I'll actually be exhibiting at the Classic Gaming Convention in August in Las Vegas with a small table, no electricity :-/, showcasing a complete Vectrex system, multicart, display kiosk and full set of reproduction overlays for bid.....I'm thinking of doing a "silent auction" style sale of the system and accessories while taking orders for custom overlays "build-to-suit" and discounted for expo attendees if they pay on-site. I just can't afford to pre-print a large stock of overlays to have on hand not knowing what people might want. Keep me posted on whether you want some help!

Yessir....the original store kiosk was my motivation for making this. I originally thought I could make a recreation of it, but soon realized that the vacuum formed plastic top would be the dealbreaker on a reproduction.....so I switched gears and made a kiosk that was clearly new, but heavily influenced by the designs of the original.

OK folks....the kiosk table is done. After going back and forth on what to do with the surface of the kiosk, I settled with a design that brings in a bit of the vector graphic look of the games. Check out www.vectrexoverlays.com and click on the Kiosk page for full details and photos. Before you get sticker shock, remember that the materials constitute half the price and the other half is my time to create it.....plus, I really just did this for myself to see if it would turn out worth a damn. I gotta say tho, I'm happy I did it because it looks awesome (perhaps some artistic pride showing through there)! :-) Feedback is appreciated....but remember to play nice!

I hear you....and that is what I said "Phase III" would be. This is really just a project for me and if it happens to turn out nicely, I will entertain the notion of selling them (providing the process isn't a pain or the cost of materials and time too prohibitive). I love getting input from you guys...especially if it steers me in a direction that churns out a better product in the end!

LOL it's a blank expo table with graphics and a door....much like the expo table the original store kiosk was. Nothing fancy.

I'm also ready to settle on a final Vectrex Kiosk stand....basic, much like the photos I posted in the other thread.....will ship flat and easy to assemble. I just need to come up with a fair price because the process of making one is labor intensive!

Well I can finally add YASI, Protector and Moon Lander to my list! I also decided to funnel all purchases through eBay despite the fees. Even though interest in overlays has dropped severely, I need to have a single place to check pending order, track shipments, etc...and working outside of eBay confused things in some cases. Let's just hope I don't get another negative strike from a yahoo that can't read the item description assuming these are newly printed originals and/or won't accept my offer to accept a return and full refund....blah.
