Went to the game store, came home with Shenmue. No clue how to play the game but I did manage to buy some chips and a grape soda and played a little Space Harrier.

  Technically, I think you are "playing" it. Damn thing never felt like a game to me, rather a series of painful character interactions followed by useless chores, with periods between spent desperately trying to find something in their world that I found amusing. It wouldn't be so bad if I could figure out the main character's motivation to play along with everything.
