Most modern flatscreen TV's sold in Europe should allow you to switch between the various flavours of PAL and SECAM. If you are using an old CRT then a UK PAL TV isn't going to be too impressed.

I can't recall a problem with this, and it makes the whole experience a lot better.

Just finished Assassin's Creed III. Got Resident Evil 6 to play, and then I'm all out of new(ish) stuff

I want this so badly but if I buy it now for the Xbox I know I'll just end up buying the PC version as well, when it comes out!

Some great stories here. I ended up with an Atari 800XL from Dixons as for the price nothing came close to it. My parents had recently separated so them agreeing to buy me a computer for Christmas was probably after lots of complex and not very diplomatic negotiations I wasn't party to. Anyway, I wanted a C64 but that was only being sold with the MIDI keyboard bundle at the time, and out of the agreed budget. Second choice was a Spectrum but after seeing one hidden in the back of Dixons in Derby, I was left a bit unimpressed by it. So, it was the 800XL with 1010, software bundle and joystick. Good times, and it was still possible for a while at least to walk into Boots and buy new Atari games off the shelf.

Heck, I have had 2 of the things sealed for years, plus 2 unsealed, and recently bought four 7800 games for £5... one of which was a SEALED Planet Smashers .... I'll be using them and my collection of sealed Jinks games to build a new extension on my house.

Great stuff, and looking to the future, some new games released on cartridge would be excellent for poor sods like me sans Jag CD.

I think most people are saying the Wii U will be punching at the same weight as the Xbox 360 and PS3. I'm sure the actual graphics in-game will get better as developers learn how to get the best out of the system, just like they have done with the 360. But, what happens when the PS4 and Xbox 720 come out? Will it look horribly dated like the Wii did very quickly? Nolan Bushnell isn't too impressed with the Wii U. Personally, I'm going to wait a while before I consider dipping my toes with one.

I'm interested too, depending on price.
