The Official "Thrift finds" Thread

Goodwill finds- Circuit City Halo 2 watch, new in package-$4.99 Japanese PS1 Dragon Ball Final Bout-$5.99 PS1 Parappa The Rapper poster/instructions-free! I found the case, cover and poster, but the disc was gone, so they let me have it. -
You too, huh? I guess living in Los Angeles gives an advantage, but I see PS1, PS2 and Xbox stuff at Goodwill regularly. Mostly sports titles, but not exclusively. I was tickled to see a 5200 w/ Pac-Man recently, and the Goodwill nearest my place did give me the $5.99 CIB SMS Buster Douglas Boxing earlier this year, so it never hurts to keep looking...

Claimed! Up for grabs is a banged-up copy of Tetris Battle Gaiden for the Super Famicom. The white piece of tape is actually holding the cart together, exactly as I found it. I honestly don't remember if it works and don't have a way to test it right now, but it's free so who gives a hoot? Free shipping if you're inside the USA. -
Did the Konami releases come with a plastic insert to hold the cart in place, ala the Intellivision flip-top releases? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Funny thing is they both fire up fine on my NTSC TV, and Chopper Command has a Kay Bee price sticker on it.
-
I picked these two up recently, and I was wondering about the significance of the circle A design on the top flap. The Chopper Command one looks like it was printed on, while Starmaster looks more like it was stamped on. Thanks in advance for the info!

The Rockman X manual was a nice surprise; not as nice as when the Salvation Army clerk rang the whole thing up for $.99 though. -

The Complete Video Warrior and The Adventures of Q*bert-$.55 each at a thrift. TCVW gives hints for Asteroids, Battlezone, Berzerk, Centipede, Defender, Frogger, Galaxian, Gorf, Missile Command, Pac-Man, Phoenix, Red Baron, Scramble, Space Invaders and Star Castle. And according to the Q*bert book, "66$$#" translates to "Whew, that was a close one." while "%#!!%X" means "I know I am brave, I will triumph!" Space Griffon VF-9-$2.99 at Goodwill. PS1 Speed Racer-$1 at a flea market. -
And Atari Age.
