i got a purple screen of death on a sega genesis when i powered it up with a controller plugged in that had some sort of autofire on. i forget which game was in the console, but it clicked though everything so fast that it crashed the genesis.

Those are all multiples? If so, I take back what I said. I just see this whole "selling parts of my collection" or "selling my collection" way too often lately, it makes me kind of sad that nobody in the last few years is really just collecting for the sake of having a large library (except Wonder007 - LOL).Variants are cool.
i'll cop to starting to trim things down, yet at the same time, i now have 12 carts to sell because i couldn't resist 1986 .

i passed up a boxed (bad shape but intact) 5200 w/ 2 wico sticks, 6 commons and the box for the switch box a couple of weeks ago for $75 at an out of the closet thrift store. passed over $.99 2600 missile command, haunted house, video pinball, ms. pac-man and 5200 jungle hunt at a goodwill yesterday, and bought a $.99 CIB yuu yuu hakusho at a different goodwill today (it was filed with the vhs tapes). it definitely does help that i live in los angeles...
