The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
orangest replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Walked into one of my regular Goodwills to see that the games, DVDs and CDs weren't in their usual place, and started to bemoan another one lost to shopgoodwill until I saw that they had just been moved to another area... Zelda is complete, in great shape and was $5.99. Threads of Fate is also in very nice shape and was $1.99. -

Ha! Trust me, there are plenty of stretches where that's definitely not the case, no matter how much of an abundance of other people's old stuff there is in the greater Los Angeles area. Speaking of which... Wangan Dead Heat was $1 at a hole-in-the-wall thrift. Skyrim was $4.99 at Salvation Army. -

The tapes are for recording audio using reel to reel machines. I wonder if anyone has recorded Starpath files onto reel to reel tapes and then loaded them successfully... I don't think the GBC is post op...the guy at the flea booth had another just like it except it was missing the battery cover. I couldn't find much specific information on it though. -

The cabinet was in great overall condition, the only thing wrong was the non-workability. I just don't have the fix-it knowledge, space or disposable income at the moment for it. It's at the Salvation Army on Pacific Coast Highway in Torrance, CA. And yes, I think the joystick was indeed black. -
