  1. I don't know about these games, but if anyone ever does a port of Make Trax, dollars will immediately fly from my wallet into that kind person's hands.
  2. Wasn't the thread supposed to be systems you got/purchased new? Used systems don't exactly come with pack-ins.
  3. I respect a good game no matter the size. Assembloids look nice btw. Not my preference for skulls, but still looks nicely programmed anyway.
  4. Y, j/k, based on your line about the best days of your life matching a lyric from that song. I have a photographic memory for many song lyrics, unfortunately. Funny thing about Bryan Adams and that song though is that he was far too young in 1984 or whenever that song came out to have been in high school in '69, much less have formed a band at that time.
  5. I have said before that a label scan database needs created. Purists argue that fakes can be pushed upon unsuspecting game buyers, but I have need to repair a few in my collection as well. Maybe gamefaqs? I think they have an annoying watermark though.
  6. Space Shuttle for VCS had two cardboard console overlays. The various console switches were used for in-game functions.
  7. Whenever I see N64's at thrifts, they are mostly missing the memory expansion pak. Shoplifters love to lift the front cover and take them unbeknownst to many customers.
  8. PSX, Gamecube, and SNES, in that order. I actually found my first Colecovision in the wild at a thrift about a years ago. Recently picked up 3 SNES systems for $3 a piece at yard sales.
  9. Frostbite is a game that does 3/4 isometric well and never gets credited for it. Maybe most do not recognize the isometric elements of that game?
  10. Grand Prix and Dragster by Activision were so-so titles to me. I was and still am a huge Enduro fan. Never could do Night Driver though. Slot Racers is highly enjoyable with two players.
  11. Just wish David had given us the ability to turn off the music via difficulty or B/W switches. I loved the game, but always played it with sound muted.
  12. I have a feeling that all the accolades (no pun intended) and celebrity worship seen in threads like this can actually scare these people away. That is most likely why Nolan Bushnell never came back. Get a grip guys.
  13. I have never understood the full intent and purpose of serial number databases. useful? How?
  14. 5200 Space Invaders is the best with the way it has morphing aliens in later levels. No other port of this game does that.
  15. Not too many VCS games had in-game music, so I will guess Wizard of Wor.
  16. Atari Age Marketplace is always open.
  17. I have painted 2 NES front loader consoles. They come apart fairly easy. I would just suggest making certain to remove the black "vents" from the grey body beforhand, rather than trying to mask it. The results will be much nicer. Also, I suggest carefully masking all decals on the bottom of the console since they are not removeable. Krylon Fusion brand paints are recommended for plastics and work well. Just use as few passes as possible and keep your distance to eliminate possibility of drips and runs.
  18. 5200 needs racers. Pole Position is the sole racer at present. I thing Enduro, Turbo and even a game like R.C. Pro Am could be done well on the good ol' 5200. Also, somebody needs to do a home port of Make Trax, an awesome game that never got a home port. 5200 would do it justice. Finally, why not try some arcade faves like Mappy, Elevator Action, or even Gaplus?

    Mr. Do!

Wish 5200 would have gotten a port, other than just Castle.
  20. 1)5200 2)3DO 3)PSX 4)VCS 5)32X
  21. Off the Wall, followed closely by Frostbite
  22. Gameboy Tetris used to be my wife's favorite. Now, not so much. I don't know if she has ever even picked up a VCS controller.
