  1. Sad thing is I priced Batman Forever Arcade for Saturn on ebay and it is not cheap in the slightest.
  2. Good review, Ashley. This made me want to get a copy of Batman Forver for Saturn. I love beat 'em ups and it looked impressive. Thanks again, and keep the excellent reviews coming.
  3. Surprisingly, crazy/super glue works well with little mess. The key is to wipe away excess before it dries, and just keep the fingers away.
  4. Deoxit sprayed into the controller port and into the pin holes on the controller cord may work wonders.
  5. Dots of crazy glue at various spacing along the outer seam is my fix of choice whenever I lose a screw or come across a NES cartridge missing one. Just wipe off the excess before it dries on the outer edge and if you ever need to open the game again an exacto knife does the trick.
  6. It should be noted that many cartridge-based systems had game load times. They just tended to try to camouflage them. Nothing like "Loading", or "Please Wait" was seen on cartridges, but many SNES, Genesis, and even N64 games still had load screens where the player was forced to wait before he/she could play. See NBA Jam in the 16-bit days if you question this.
  7. Link now says the item is no longer available. What happened?
  8. With so many excellent homebrews done lately like Halo and Princess Rescue, I see no good reason a scaled back version of TMNT could not happen. Maybe not so many on-screen bad guys at the same time, but expanded RAM makes things possible that were not previously. Even considering on-screen enemies, DK, Commando, and even games like Dig Dug show that more than 3 baddies can be seen at a time with minimal flicker. Tell me why TMNT is 'impossible' on the 2600.
  9. Cruisin USA, World, and Exotica with arcade racing wheel and pedals are an awesome experience. Also, Starfox 64 is a solid space shooter in its own right. Regarding the controllers, there are alternatives. The Hori Mini from japan is nice, albeit a bit small and pricey. Also, the Super Pad 64 Plus is a strange looking but nice alternative.
  10. Printer paper boxes really work the best for a move. As has been said, do not let movers touch your gaming items. Not only can they be careless, but sticky fingers do happen.
  11. Y, the track ball works smoothly with Centipede, Missile Command and others to give the 80's arcade experience like no other. Look forward to lots of fun with the 5200.
  12. My main reason for voting for Turtles Arcade was that it stood out among the polling options as one type of game that got little development on VCS. I remember TMNT on NES and it was good fun. Just figured that VCS could use a good TMNT game, that was my only line of thought on my vote for that option.
  13. Actually my 5200 track ball as a yellow ball, not white. Test that track ball out soon and let us know how it works. Sometimes, the rollers need greased.
  14. If the guy wouldn't at least reimburse me gas money on the 80 mile round trip mileage, then I would vigilantly watch craigslist for his future ads and flag them for removal. Does Craigslist even have a complaint/dispute resolution process?
  15. I have both the 3DO and SNES versions of this game, but have not played either. Now, I may just have to try them out.
  16. OK, so I'm sensing from the discussion who the originator of 8bit-guy's games, but then why did this get posted? http://atariage.com/forums/topic/212697-what-happened-to-8bit-guy/page__st__25 When I do not see how Fandal did these conversions.
  17. My own experience with the rubber bootsis that they make Pac Man so much easier to play. If you are looking, they sell on ebay, but Best Electronics is cheaper. Only thing is Best has a minimum order price of $20.
  18. And you have proof he was not doing these?
  19. I still don't get the big deal. Has evidence ever been presented that he is stealing others' code and selling it as his own?
  20. Posting Colecovision vs 7800 vs 5200 on a 7800 forum and what kind of answers do you think you will get ? IMHO 5200 and CV are both better than 7800, and complementary systems. If you want to play all the 80's arcade titles, you will need both. CV had gems like Frenzy and DK, while 5200 had exclusives like Space Dungeon and the best port of Pac Man I have ever played. 7800 has its own gems. Food Fight and Midnight Mutants immediately come to mind, but just doesn't measure up to the other two, at least to this educated observer.
  21. ^Though that might be a joke, a digital video recorder like I have would work similar. Mine records to an SD card and then I can plug the card into my PC's SD slot for video editing and upload to youtube. If you go this route, just be sure to have the room lighting turned down low so that the TV screen shows up good on the video.
  22. Put it out on ebay and act like Lulu Joey was some famous Atari programmer. Price it at $150 and someone will bite.
