Hey thanks for sharing! This was me just messing around with the source. I'll record a better video soon so you can hear the music a bit better.
Anyone care to speculate as to what is happening to the music to make it sound the way it does? It's interesting that it works at all!

Here you go. I didn't want to fill up the source.zip with the BINS, which is why i didn't include them.
Hopefully that's it now

Thank you good sir! Would really like to learn more about your path of discovery on how you learned to build the ROM. Cool stuff!

How about nmaker.exe, you got a copy of that?
-
Try this one;
(I've also been using dosbox, aln, mac etc due to wanting to keep the tools as close to the originals as possible - to rule out other unknowns)
Just to be certain are you running namke from within DosBox? When I run this specific version of the file it asks for another file called "DOSXNT.EXE". Before I go looking did you run into this or might you have a safe copy of this file?
-
Thanks, I'll give it a shot here in a bit!

So nmake says it can't run in DOS mode when I try to run it from DOSBox and errors out if I try from Windows 10 command line. Any ideas?

Hey Rik, no go for me on VJ or Skunk with the abs file compiled. I might of missed something though, just an FYI. I'm sure Clint will try it later as well.
Nevermind I can't read lol, trying to build the rom now!

Thanks for this! I was able to get the sky textures working in my build thanks to the missing assets you posted to FB, this is Chad btw.

Had the same issue with the screen going black after making it to the top but not consistently. It's looking and sounding very good overall though, nice progress! Thanks for sharing the demo!

That's an Awesome mod!
:thumbsup:Thanks! I've really been enjoying it!

Done!Go for it, its exciting to see how people will modify these.
If anyone is interested in doing the same, wire the Left button to pins 7 & 8 and the Right button to pins 2 & 9. The pins are located between the two internal boards.
Obviously this makes a dedicated AVP controller to some extent. I'm sure a switch could be used to toggle between two modes though. Hopefully someone figures out a way to hack the AVP ROM to make this mod unnecessary.

So, am I the only one thinking about rewiring one of these to have proper shoulder button strafing on AVP?

Can we add a starred item for this? The pro controller patch for Doom? Hopefully more folks will get a chance to try it once the JagSD cart arrives.

Just want to thank Starwander again for making this happen! These repro's are damn near identical to my original. I'll be placing a 2nd order soon hopefully to gift to a couple Jag friends I have nearby.

I really enjoy Pitfall on the Jag. I didn't give it a chance on any platform until recently so I know what you mean OP.
-
Thanks for the link! Exciting stuff for sure! I see it's targeted for a Cyclone V which is exactly what the MiSTer is running! Apologies for high-jacking the thread!
-
Great Job swapd0 !
I try it on my JagFPGA and it works very well !
It's perfectly fluid and too fast in some part

JagFPGA? Tell me more!
Any chance it could be ported to the MiSTer project?
-
For purchasing it, please send a pn to Simius, he sell's it

Thanks!

Can anyone point me in the right direction for any info on where to buy and how to perform the mod? I've seen a demonstration video on YouTube and a mention of the creator being in Poland but can't seem to find any more info.
-
Looking forward to getting the rotary built!
-
Can you fit the top casing on after the mod? The JagCD could really use some cooling IMO, those regulators get toasty!
-
Finally got my controller today. The quality is excellent, it looks like something Atari would have built themselves. The knob size is perfect for thumb and fore finger to control. The speed is spot on and the RGB looks stellar. Just broke my old T2K high score by a nice margin on my first go, def satisfied with my purchase.

Enabling music & sound FX mixing within Jaguar Doom source.
in Atari Jaguar

You think a bus saturation issue would also affect the sound fx which seem to playback fine. Maybe sound is prioritized over Music?
