  1. I have yet to receive the set I paid for on August 19th, could you kindly provide me with an update?
  2. WTF, I know that Oil's Well (CIFB) wants to move to Texas! He would love Houston, especially since it is the Petrochemical Capital of the World!
  3. It was only recently I decided to begin acquiring "backup" consoles, but only for those that have CD/DVD drives. Once the collecting bug bit me again, I began to get worried about my Sega CD and Saturn dying on me, since those two systems make up the bulk of my game collection. I have the Sega CD covered, but haven't come across a good deal on a Victor Saturn. Don't play my Dreamcast much, but bought two backup systems only because I came across good deals. My PS1 SCPH-1001 has finally died, so ill be investing in a replacement for it. Started playing my PS2 launch model again recently, so considering getting a backup soon. Same goes for the XBOX, looking to acquire two backups for it. GameCube isn't a priority to me, since my unit never had much playing time on it. Just replaced the laser in my PS3 FAT 60GB, but don't play it much, so no backup planned right now. Own three 360's, two FAT Elites and a Slim. Putting one of my FAT's on water soon and installing it in one of my Lian Li PC-XB01's, which should help extend it's life span. Man oh man where those early 360's poorly designed / assembled. Had five go RROD on me, luckily all were replaced my Micro$oft. As for my cartridge based consoles, I've been blessed so far, since I have not had one die on me. NES did require a 72-pin replacement, but that is a given. Only one I have a backup for is the Vectrex ( 3 units), IMHO a person can never own too many Vectrex's.
  4. Funny thing is, I've had a Harmony Cart since early May...
  5. Good find, you'll enjoy it. Consider investing in a AtariMax Colecovision Ultimate SD Multi-Cart, then you can try all the games: http://www.atarimax.com/colecosd/documentation/index.html Also, our resident Colecovision hardware guru, Yurkie, provides several services which are very worthwhile investments (plus very reasonably priced IMHO), if you truly get into the Colecovision addiction. Here is his thread that describes his various services in detail: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/172279-colecovision-hardware-mods-89-and-sales-modded-cv-added-sun-826/ It was only five short months ago that I finally acquired my first Colecovision, or should I say, YurkieVision. I bought a modded system directly from Yurkie, along with a several pieces of Yurkie refurbished hardware: Expansion Module #1, Expansion Module #2 and the Roller Controller. As the old saying goes, a picture says a thousand words: Barb sells custom hand-made dust covers on eBay, which are invaluable, IMHO: You can purchase them here: eBay Seller: papa*nannysfunstuff Enjoy your new 30 year old console!
  6. Well my Heavy-Sixer arrived today. Haven't fired it up yet to verify it works. Man is it dirty. Do not have the original joysticks, but it did have the correct paddles with "Atari" on them and the grey wall-wart. S/N 19738K I'll clean her up this weekend and post some pics.
  7. ”It’s kind of like doing surgery with a chainsaw instead of a scalpel. We had pieces and parts flying everywhere. It turned out in our favor. We’ve just got to clean it up the next time around.” ~Mike Leach

  12. Thats the thing, android can do that too, but you can also do it directly from the folder. No having to upload it to another site and copy link. On android you can just attach it from your folder. That's great, but I do not care to host my images on any other sites than ones I own or my Flickr Pro account. The images I post here are of much higher resolution than this site allows you to upload. Images hosted on others sites eat bandwidth, bandwidth costs money. Maybe I look at things that way because I pay to host my own forum.
  13. I post pictures from my iPad 3 here all the time. But I do not host my pictures here (or on any forum), I host all my pics on Flickr. I'm even able to upload pictures from my iPad 3 to Flickr, by using the app FlickStackr.

  18. Thanks for the quick reply. Of those games NIAD, which are the most popular among Colecovision enthusiasts?
  19. Curious as to what popular games use the keypad and how often it is actually used for gameplay?
