  1. Thanks for that link! I'll be checking this out more tonight! JR
  2. The Retrode is cool, but seems to be in a constant state of "hard to get"? Or am I wrong? JR
  3. Ha, ha! Thanks 'loon! Wow, a battery pack too! Wild! I bet it "eats" batteries big time!!! ??? JR
  4. Hey all! Here is another question from me about these portable "screens" for some of the retro systems. Anyone have experience with the portable "screens" that were offered for the Gamecubes? Care to recommend or not-recommend one? Thanks, JR
  5. Hey all! I have a PSONE with the portable screen, which I love and is super cool! I have seen a few of these for the PS2 that are aftermarket items. Can anyone weigh in on thise screens and whether they are worth a "hoot" or not? Thanks! JR
  6. Hi Omegamatrix! This is very cool! I'm going to check this out at a deeper level soon! I want to learn from what you have done here. I have written binary clocks in many other languages (higher level), but never in ASM or Batari, so this will be cool to check out! JR
  7. Thanks Jeff! That is exactly what I need and thanks for the great explanation! JR
  8. Hi everyone! I am starting my first program in VbB. So far all it has is comments in it, not too exciting! But here is what it reports: Compile started at 8/9/2012 3:55:55 PM Compiling C:\Save\8bit_Dev\Loch_VisualbB\Garden-Wars\garden-wars.bas 2600 Basic compilation completed. DASM V2.20.07, Macro Assembler ©1988-2003 bytes of ROM space left 2829 bytes of ROM space left Compilation completed at 8/9/2012 3:55:57 PM view output file:///C:/Save/8bit_Dev/Loch_VisualbB/Garden-Wars/bin Post compilation files deleted [8/9/2012 3:58:26 PM] saving C:\Save\8bit_Dev\Loch_VisualbB\Garden-Wars\garden-wars.bas succeeded. My questions are: Why is there already only 2829 bytes of ROM space left? I thought remarks did not contribute to the overall program size? I do see that the BIN file is 4K, this makes sense as I think that no matter what you put in the program, the BIN file will still be 4K right? Also, with VbB, does it every create an ASM file? It would be cool to take a look at that! Thanks! JR
  9. I think it's overkill. I've got a device at home that JUST does save states. Should be much cheaper. I'll go and dig it up and get more info. That'd be great "Loon", I just want save states, so I can actually finish a game with my 15-20 minutes of game time each day. Thanks! JR
  10. StoneAgeGamer, Hey thanks! Yes, saves are important as they allow me to actually finish a game. I was looking at the EverDrive (Sega version) on your site and it looks really nice. I think I will buy one next week. It seems that you have them in stock if I am not mistaken. I'm mostly talking about this one: http://stoneagegamer.com/everdrive_deluxe.aspx Looks like it will fit the bill. I know that it is not guaranteed that it will work on a clone hardware, but is there a chance it may? Thanks a lot! JR
  11. Well the reason I wanted it was to fulfill this vision I had of being able to do the following: 1) Play SNES games and save anywhere, as my game time is quite limited. 2) Hook it up to an original SNES or a RetroN3 and use it on my big flat screen. Not sure if this is the appropriate animal or not? JR
  12. I was on the verge of buying one of these, can anyone tell me if they have one and like it? Thanks!
  13. Well, I don't know about "single-handedly" but it is all really cool stuff to play with! Thanks a lot for all the great, great links! JR
  14. That was appealing to me, but I could never seem to find a spot to download it from... weird... Wait, I just checked the website and it is available, I guess it just became available from this site in May. Thanks, I'll check it out... JR
  15. Everyone! I'm a goof! I meant RetroN3. Whoops! It wasn't my intention to start a conversation about some fictitious mystery project! Sorry!!!
  16. Does the Retrode 3 allow any special ability to save your game anywhere? Or does it just play the game? Also, if not is there such a thing? I have the Dingoo A320 and that can do it obviously! Thanks! JR
  17. Just curious... Is the 3D in the Nintendo 3DS worth it? JR
  18. I have the Dingoo 320A. They have a wireless joystick for this thing? Where? How? I want one!!!
  19. Just curious, how many people just do their gaming with "pure emulation"? You know, computer only... The option is kind of interesting, as you could have a big freak of a computer screen/HDTV and run ALL of your games from a dog of a computer (assuming no pirating is going on!)... Anyone go about their gaming that way? Thanks! JR
  20. I have never cleaned a cartridge, what is the best way? Sega Genesis and N64 carts for starters, but I imagine they are all the same, right? Thanks! JR
