  1. Steve is great to deal with! Great communication, quick response, and an obvious Atari fan. Sold him some Supercharger games and he let me know immediately that they had arrived safely. Thank you Steve! Enjoy!

  2. DSC08289.jpg

As you can see, my intellivision is missing the plastic slide power switch on the case. From what I understand, it's a 2-piece switch, partly underneath and partly on top that snaps together or something. Of course, i don't know for sure since mine is gone.

Anyone have a "parts" console? I'm not looking to spend much, maybe $5 shipped?

It's one piece and it simply sits on top of the switch you see recessed. That's how they fall out so easily. I have one available.

  3. And now we have a bidder who does have feedback, but who has not bid on anything else in at least the last 30 days. Wanna bet this new bidder does not go over the previous amount that the zero-feedback bidders uncovered before retracting their bids?

  4. Highest bidder(with zero feedback) yesterday, retracted bid,and then promptly bid $1 under the second highest bidders max.

    Obvious schill bidding

    Edit:

Different zero feedback bidder bid $1 less than second highest bid. Just 4 minutes after first zero feedback retracted his bid.

Yeah, noticed that as well. Shady, shady, shady.

  5. Yeah I've considering this but I have seen a couple on eBay that had replacements installed but still didn't operate properly. So I'm a bit leary. Anyways we will see :-)

I've done three and have yet to have an issue. They are finnicky to begin with and the library is not the best. Despite that, they are very cool. I often play the Tempest soundtrack while in my gaming room. Nerdy, yes.

  6. Bump

I might recommend buying a broken one and installing a new laser. That was, for me, much cheaper than the crazy ebay prices. The install is not too bad, and i am by no means handy with electronics.

    Good luck either way!

  7. Hello, I just joined here and one of the first things I would like to do is get some input on a problem I have on my 4-switch woody. Some of my games are only booting in the black and white mode. Other games do boot in color, it's just the games that support the black and white. I've googled the problem and did find someone who had the same problem as me but their post hasn't had any response. I've tried two fixes I did find which is adjusting the tint dial and cleaning the black and white switch with no luck. If anyone knows anything it would be greatly appreciated. I haven't searched the forums yet, but if someone has come on here before with the same problem then you can just point me to it and that would be good as well.

Not sure if by "tint dial" you meant the one on your television or if you meant the nickel-sized white wheel that is inside your console. If you haven't already, then try the wheel in the console. You can put a small flathead screwdriver in there and turn it slightly either way. That might solve your problem. Good luck!

  8. I guess there's more variation in the Xante labels than I thought. Sorry for calling it a fake. It's always hard to tell with things like this.

Yeah, I wasn't so sure at first either because the layout of the printing looks wrong. I have 3 Xante carts and they are formatted very similarly (see pic), which is a little different from the one in that listing. However, I read in one of these forums that the production of one of those blue carts (and the cart DOES look right) would be a monumental pain in the ass and not worth the fake. What it looks like to me is that the dot matrix printer was not aligned properly when the label was printed, which I could see happening at a kiosk. Everything else looks spot-on to me, but I am no expert on these.post-32690-0-90480300-1472927979_thumb.jpg

  9. Bump , will pay$50-100 each depending on condition

Wow, you have done well since your original post. Math just sold yesterday on eBay for a little over $100. That one is a tough get. It took me a lot longer to find that one than Basic Math for sure. Good luck, it looks like you are almost there, sans Superman that is.

  10. Fabman stated the two ways i normally use to get a gauge for what a title is worth. Pricecharting.com and eBay sold listings. Current listings on eBay can fluctuate wildly, especially for rares. Beware of reporduction games as well. I recently saw listings for Texas Chainsaw and Halloween that were fakes. I contacted the seller and recommended listing them as reproductions and they disappeared from ebay and have not returned, yet. As prices rise the fakes obviously become more frequent.

  11. Not sure this gig pays enough to do requested work, needs some enjoyment if you want to spend all your spare time for months. ;-)

I have thought about Frogger a few times, it might be possible, depends on the size of the graphics. If anyone wants to make a screen mockup, feel free to do so. About 102x58 pixels stretched to 4:3 aspect, colors are available here: Fairchild_Channel_F_test_picture.png

Light colors are background, one can per set per pixel line, red green blue are plot colors - they all turn white on that row if black background is chosen.

I'm just teasing of course. The fact that Pac Man exists on the Fairchild is good enough for me.

  12. Swapped.Ms. Pac-Man... might be possible, I know it just requires some chip changes to convert one arcade machine to the other. Tim Ryan made some excellent programming to make it easy to set up different screens - before realizing Pac-Man has the same gamefield all the time. Might require a lot more than expected to catch all the little details that differ. I may look into it when in the mood. ;-)Half of the carts sold in three days!I got some caps that were longer than expected, luckily the boards aren't processed yet as I had a prototype board made at work (that they f*cked up) and wanted to check that all was working OK before spending the $hundreds on a set of gold plated ones. I'm getting a new prototype board(s) on Monday. I made a few changes so the same problem won't happen again - even if it shouldn't be a problem normally. There wasn't anything actual wrong with the previous board, with some more experience working in the PCB business I couldn't help notice a few things that I wanted to change and suddenly it was a much better looking board with just half (or so) the amount of vias. Which is the reason for this prototype. Made some changed to the board for the caps, will solder the single board on Monday evening probably and send the PCB order as soon as functionality is confirmed. Also got one of the IC:s from a Swedish supplier, bought all components from European sellers so there should be no two months waiting for parts. As I'm waiting anyway, I added logos on the sharp version, teaser:123.png

So count me in for 2 Ms. Pac-Mans then. Frogger awaits after that......

If anyone wants the -2 game I am fine with that. I'd hate to hog both of the top two numbers!

Funny, I already own one of these but I am excited to get these two. Thank you E5Frog. This is easily the best game on the console. Is Ms. Pac-Man possibly on the horizon???

  15. I have checked some prices, it's going to be about $90, have already ordered some of the cheaper parts and updated the PCB CAD-files.

I'm not sure at what price I'll be able to source shells, but it's not going to affect the price more than $5 up or down. If anyone happens to have some plain titles with poor or missing labels I might be interested in purchasing. Preferably not ones that have damaged plastic, it's very time consuming to restore cartridge shells.

Will post a sales page and link to it here.

As I have already sold the "last cartridge as #50" I will number these beginning with "-1", next one is -2 etc.

This batch will have numbers from "-16" to "-1" beginning with "-1".

If you are very very very keen on getting a particular number, feel free to reserve one right away by sending PayPal payment of $95 to [email protected], registered shipping is $18 extra, the $95 covers plain shipping and eBay fees so you don't have to send as gift (appreciated though).

Will post a proper sales page and list any prepaid orders there, I'm in a financial position right now that I will need three of four paid orders to be able to order all parts.

    Thanks for your support!

Money sent for two games, plus shipping.

    Thanks!

  16. The price on this has absolutely exploded recently. Not sure why.

I am curious what a Telegames Math gatefold would go for. I can't remember the last time i even saw one. Obviously less than Basic Math but i wonder how much less.
