  1. $120 seems a bit high to me. Seeing as the last 4 on ebay loose went for between $50-$75.

But then again it doesn't come up often for sale....and depends how picky you are on condition too.

Just checked and I paid $110 for a cart that is immaculate. Probably a little high, but I am also pretty picky when it comes to the rares.

  2. Well... can't you move closer or something??? ;)

I'll keep you in mind though. I may get desperate enough to pay a ridiculous fee on shipping.

For 5 consoles shipped i would be fine with $100. Would obviously be cheaper if the shipping weren't so high. Usps large flat rate as suggested above is about $15 per box and i would only be able to get one console in each box. I don't deal with ups. FedEx large package or usps priority for 5 consoles to your zip would probably be close to $35. These would all be 4-switch Woodys.

    :)

  3. Yes, IMHO, there is. The NTSC version is a dark blue label, whilst the PAL version is light blue, like the one in the auction.

good to know, i always appreciate gaining little tidbits like this here and there. plus you used the word "whilst"

  4. Check the Atarimania website. Do a search for X-man under the 2600 section and you will see a picture of the ntsc screen and the pal screen. Note the background color is green on the ntsc version rather than blue on the pal version. If you put your game in an ntsc machine and it doesn't roll, and you have the right color background, then you are pretty much looking at ntsc.

Others here may give you a more definitive way to tell. To my knowledge there is NO label difference between the pal and ntsc carts so you cannot tell by looking at the game.

  5. ...of my Atari family.20150920_202437_zps4s8lnhim.jpg

Two poor labels, which I usually frown upon, and a very nice text label Invaders.

We have discussed Space Shuttle here and Invaders is ubiquitous, but what about Dolphin?

Never played it before... Good game? Activision usually doesn't let me down, so I am looking forward to playing this one. :)

Those Activision labels are pretty par for the course in terms of condition for those titles. Nice pick ups for sure!

  6. Hey everyone, I am looking for a Magnavox Odyssey 2 hardwired controller, not the detachable one. I have one in great working order but need a second to complete the console. If anyone has a spare or from a console they no longer need with a working controller from it please let me know. Thanks! :)

I think i might have one in my attic. I will check in the morning. I have a couple of O2's with bad keyboards and i think both have hardwired controllers.

  7. Shelving seems to be the best way for multiple console display. I have seen many different types and some really good ideas. Mine is fairly simple.

Also, I linked the pics in my gallery here, which is how I believe Albert wanted us to do this when displaying our collections. My apologies.

  8. Very nice! Reminded me of a few things I need. ChronoTrigger and Earthbound are both games I have been wanting to play but have just never gotten around too. I love your boxed 3-D imager. Vectrex has got to be one of the most unique systems out there. I'm still needing the light pen for mine.

Thanks. Yes, the Vectrex is my second favorite next to the 2600. The 3-D Imager has got to be the most outlandish attachment ever made for a console. I had to talk my wife out of divorcing me after she saw me wear it. Nice homebrews being made for the Vectrex as well.
