  1. If anyone is interested in getting a 2600 Vader system, check out this deal from Amazon seller ATGoTech:

The following is the seller's description:

"AMAZING BUNDLE! MINT CONDITION VADER SYSTEM LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE IN THE PICTURE. ALSO INCLUDES 2 MINT CONDITION ORIGINAL ATARI CONTROLLERS, 10 RANDOM GAMES, POWER ADAPTER AND MODERN AV ADAPTER. THIS IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO START PLAYING TODAY! YOU WILL NOT FIND A NICER ATARI OUT THERE. THIS THING LOOKS LIKE NEW STILL. FASTEST SHIPPING! THANKS!"

The price: $67.99 + $3.96 shipping. For a mint condition system that comes with all of that, it's a steal IMHO.

  2. The RF adapter is your best bet as far as cost and simplicity goes. You should only get the composite or S video if you're good at soldering. Or go with what The Retroist said and have it sent to someone who specializes in modding 2600's and have that person do it for you.

  3. Never said you were defending them, but usually, whenever someone badmouths E.T. around here, the thread gets flooded with posters defending it as some sort of "misunderstood gem".

I see. Why on earth would anyone say that game is good anyway? I had the misfortune of playing that game on my uncle's VCS and it gave me nightmares!

  4. Again, I don't do eBay anymore. Amazon is much better for someone like me...but good luck with the sale, Stitch. I know someone's gonna bid a lot for it, especially with all of the games that come with it. I predict the winning bid will be between $250 to $500+.

  5. For $50 that's a steal! Too bad you put it on eBay. I'm not saying eBay sucks, but let's just say I had a really bad experience with a seller there that cost me several hundred bucks and made me swear off eBay altogether.
