  1. Can a percom at-88 drive be set to id 2? I did a look and search with no luck. When in a chain with say an atari 810 drive. They always tell the atari 810 drive to be ID 2 or above. I'm trying to use a sio to usb adapter to boot via id1 (that works fine) then use the at-88 drive as id 2 for some testing. I'm pretty sure the drive is fine. But, before I go archiving rare data disks. I want to make sure it is okay. So the idea is boot the atari using the sio disk 1 and then make a dos image to disk 2 on the Percom drive. Using a new good blank disk. Once that all checks out. I'm good to go. Thanks, Josh
  2. I'm slowly working on it. Budget needs to be recovered from the holidays. Going to do a SIO cable to usb. But, I do have a 5.1/2" pc floppy drive that is 1.2. I can use that maybe if somebody has the software? I was reading I can use a pc floppy drive. Thanks, Josh
  3. Finally got around to testing the system. No go at first but had a glimmer of light. Black screen, green screen, and beeps. Simple cleaning all the cards (they was really nasty) finally brought it back to life. All the chips on the inside is nice and clean. They are all socket and look brand new. Unlike my Apple II plus when I got it. I'm sorry I didn't take in pictures of the hidden processor? card in the back. Only keys on the keyboard was a tad stubborn. But the more you used they they worked right out. I was not to impressed with the keyboard cable. Luckily I have had experience with that style before. So time and patience. Also cleaned up the disintegrated foam. Still not sure what I want to do with the system yet. Also I need to check but the av cable I ordered for it I think is wrong. The auction didn't say anything special. But, I'm pretty sure it is not hooked up to composite. Just a fuzzy black / white picture. Lucky the rf box worked great. Have a good day, Josh
  4. I was wondering about that. I know with apple II about two companies mfg a 8" disk drive controller. But I got a Percom drive system with the atari I just picked up. They have an option to simply plug in other 5.1/2" drives. If they are standard (shugart?) when I don't wee why a cable mod wouldn't work. Now the question would be mod the software to use more sectors to get more space out of the disk
  5. Okay I got the items listed. Thank You, Josh My E-Bay Seller link is: https://www.ebay.com/usr/ussexplorer0fzk
  6. I tested and found some horrible news. Non of the indy 500, tennis paddles and joysticks are for sale. Yes, I know the paddles need to be serviced. But, I don't want to sell them until I know I have a good set. As for the joysticks. They was all bad or needing service except for 1. Go figure. Now on to the good news Atari #1 Works Atari #2 Works Atari #3 Works Atari #4 The one with the dirt. Does not work and the switch feels horrible. So I'm not surprised. What was tested. Left joystick port with games. Then all the switches. Some worked better than others but as expected. These all need to be serviced. Just keep that in mind. My next post will be when I get them listed on ebay. Thanks, Josh
  7. I have NOT tested an of this yet. These have NOT been restored. Though one or two them have been opened up and cleaned. The six Switcher is not for sale. I took a picture of it so you guys can add the serial number to the database. I don't know how many joysticks, and paddles I have. I just stuck them all in a collection. The idea is I'm going to test them and take a few for my collection. The game gear does power on with an ac adapter but the screen is not working. Don't know how to explain it. Might need more than caps. The 2 games does work. It also has both blue batter covers on the back. The Sega Saturn and joystick is not tested. I have no way of testing them either. As you can see one of the Sears system was modified. I found it that way. If you cannot wait or don't care about testing. Shoot me a number and price. Your pay shipping is from Pocatello, Idaho 83204. As with anything. As-Is No Return I'll answer any questions and once I put them up on e-Pay. I'll provide the proper links. I'm old school and use paypal for payments.
  8. Yes, Once I get some cash back into my account to purchase one of those usb SIO cables and software
  9. Just heads up. I'll be unloading some Atari 2600 wood grain and sears telegame systems. Plus some misc stuff. I still need to test it, take pictures, and etc etc. I wanted to give everybody first chance. I prefer not to put it up in e-bay. Also have some original unrestored black games gears. Misc condition A sega saturn us. Black. With 1 joystick A/V cable and if needed I think a power cable. Since I'll be testing. If you would like any additional information while doing that. I can try and get it. I'll post pictures of each item after I test it and I get a sec. As I go through stuff. I'll post list other things to for a nibble. As you may or may not know. I purchased an Atari 800 at an Estate sale and need to cover the cost. I don't have the heart to break up the system. So it is easier to clean out misc. stuff. To make up the cash I spent. Thanks, Josh
  10. Like brand new with a bit of dust. It has the inserts but was fit in the television box. When I get more time. Well you know the weekend for relaxing. I'll take more pictures. You never know what is rare, or if somebody is looking for something not online. That a picture or scan helps.
  11. Well I purchased an Atari 800 computer with goodies. At this point I have not decided what I'm going to do with it. For now I figured you would like some pictures. I'm leaning towards unloading some of my other atari stuff to cover the cost. Mostly since this is a one owner system complete. Well except I found proof of a third party printer and atari modem. But no modem.
  12. This is not my auction. I already purchased one. But, I wanted to get this out to those who have a Atari 5200 and needs a NIB 4 port power switch. https://www.ebay.com/itm/294371504981?hash=item4489e8b355:g:pDYAAOSwrcNhMF1C Have a good time.
  13. I didn't know until a few years ago that a Trash-80 was even that large. But, if you read into it. They did one push out a final trs-80 model 4d for customers and moved to DOS compatible (trs-80 model 2000) and then IBM pc compatible. They was not the only company to do that. But they did last a good time into the IBM clone market before existing out of that too. As for Apple's in this area it was the School districts. Then for C64 was tons of home users. I never even seen a Pet until 1990's something at a thrift store and thus, before the internet. Had no idea what it was. TTFN, JOsh
  14. To lazy to take a picture. Something I have not seen in years at a thrift store. Atari 2600 4 switcher for $7.99 + tax. I already opened it up and struck the way dirty, dirty, dusty and gunk covered stuff. Looks like new.
  15. So growing up. I worked for, found, purchased or was given different computers. I also tore apart and thus, broke more than I fixed them. Dear to my heart. Trs-80 coco 1 from a thrift store. Worked for a trs-80 model 1 from a relative. Then my parents purchased a used apple ii plus on consignment at a pawn shop. Some place in the mix was a trip to Computer Land and not understanding what credit was. The guy was just like oh yea you an sign up on credit and pay the rest of it off. I think they was talking about an Amiga. My parents turned that down. Anyway back to the apple. I really didn't want to get rid of the apple. But since I was now working in PC's and wanted to upgrade my PC. Plus the fact that even looking at Sun remaketing from Utah and seeing apple stuff cost more than PC stuff. Even though I had a job. The PC won out for upgrade and thus, needed more money. Thus, fast forward to now and me trying to decide what vintage computer I wanted to have. Looking into the system and seeing what they could do. I went with the apple II plus. Esp. when I found out I could run cpm, and finish my dream of running apple works on it. I still have a few more goodies I want to add to my collection. I'll get to the point. TTFN, Josh
