I probably put the same amount in weither it was nickel or quarters. Just be mor satisfied and they did have plenty of .25 games to play too. Yes I played those to. So basicly a nice mix.

If I win the lotto I'm opening one up. Their was one in what I considered a bad location with overpriced games. My store would be in a better location and offer cheap games with a few exceptions. Their is a place called pojo's in boise about 20 miles from me that has old classic games for .5 cents, .25 cent games, and ofcourse the newer .50cent and up games. They do really good business. They also host birthday parties and stuff. I don't know about the b-day party stuff. But I could picture an old building with an arcade in it. Everybody I talked to at work thought it was an okay idea. Especially when I told them about old games being a nickle. Yes, they worried about the 1.00 games. I'm on the same boat with them.

Perhaps I need to expand my range. Currently I only hit three thrift stores and one game shop. D.I. in nampa, boise and savers. I have been a little low on cash so I really don't hit anything else.
Two Atari joysticks: $3Majora's Mask (with 3d label): $7
Beetle Adventure Racing: $7
Wico Command Control stick: $5
Stuff has been tougher and tougher to find at thrift stores here. I know of one person in particular who has the best freakin luck ever at finding cool stuff -- and thankfully, he shares. He found a beautiful and fully operational Vectrex for $5!!! And it looks really nice on bigferret's desk, next to his flat panel display
. We didn't get it for $5, but I suppose it was decent price nonetheless since we didn't have to worry about shipping.

After reading the link in one of the messages I found out I have now have three and not two sonic games left for the sega genesis. Believe me I'm screaming inside. At least now I know. The game I didn't know about was knuckles for 32x.

When I built my tower of consoles the console was a tight fit. Since then the reset button is a little fussy do to the slight pressure on the system

If the thrift store employees don't tear everything apart to price each part. It is some kid or somebody who does that. Make me cry if I walk into the a thriftstore and don't have cash in hand. You know the payday is a few days down the road. I try to avoid going until after I have the cash in hand just in case.

I played the game and it sucked because of how slow everything moved and how bad the controls was. I think I also played the same game at a quarter arcade. Controls was much better and the game was okay but the truck was really hard to control. One little mistake and you are all over the road. Very, Very bad.

Went to the local gaming store. The one I normally goto in Boise and scored a Sega Genesis Sonic 3 game loose for $3.00. Yea I know what you are going to say. So what a sonic 3 game. Well compaired to the thrift stores in the area that charge 5.99 per loose game. It was pretty good to me and it adds one more game to my genesis collection for sonic. Now I just need sonic & knuckles and sonic 3d. My wife also saw some sega cd games but money was tight.

That is a great story about the soda machine. Yea, Those stupid small coke bottles. The machine I have is from around the 70's. It does a few bottle sizes and cans. Currently it is setup for cans. If I could find a good local source for normal size bottles beside beer bottles. I would move the brackets back for cans.

Well all I can say is. Now I know why the arcades are going out of business. You just through parties. Love the old games. Does that old pop machine work? I assume it is one of your prized possesions.

Shame, I tell you.
Hmm, Hit the wrong button. This is suspose to go under the what is the port under tha nintendo post. SOrry

Thats pretty funny for a name. You can find all different type of systems like that. I myself is looking for one that showed up in this area about 1 year ago at thoughs electronic shows that mostly sell mfg rejects, refurbs and always have gusy int he parking lot installing speakers/amps they just purchased. At the time I went to the show. I had not cash and they seem to go on ebay for way more than what they are worth. If I ever opened a game store. I would order a bunch of those clone systems. since they do seem to have a following. If you get the right one. Instead of just a pad. You can play nes games.

I have read about Goo-Gone and have a few atari carts with nice labels that are red with the name all over it. Donkey Kong and DOnkey Kong Jr for one. I remeber reading somewehre about the goo-gone. Am I right to use this on the label and how goo are the results. I don't want to rub it on the label to have it mess it all up.
As for the sticky labels I have used some wd-40 on some labels on rental cases to get ride of the stickers. The big ugly stickers. ANyway their is sometimes leftover sticky. I was wondering if goo-gone would take care of this too. If not I can always re-wb-40 it and remove the rest.
Thanks for any help,

Battle for Bikinni bottoms sounds like Sponge bob is going after sandy. Snicker. I'm sure it is an okay game.
Wishing I had a newer game system than a super nintendo besides my computer.

Well I got a chance to try that original 3 btn controller. Then back to the two six btn controllers. The 3 btn controller moved the peice on the clue board a step at a time. The 6 btn controllers just about slide the peice across the game board. I honestly don't know what one is correct (Can some one tell me.). But when you go and run the options. The 3 btn that works slower is nicer so your not flying around on the screen. Well their is a short pause to each one. Not like the 3btn though. Good solid press right and get one space move right action.
Laters.
Thanks you for the help.

Passed up another c128 at a different thrift store for $2.00 stacked in with the keyboards.
No power supply or anything else. So I would have least needed to find the power supply. DRives seem to come in enough. Laters..

One controller is a third party and the other one is a controller from I beleive a sega genesis 3. I picked it up at the thrift store. The controller is a sega controller. I checked the button. I got a older three button sega controller that came with the original genesis. I can give that a shot even though the c button is acting up. AKA needs to be cleaned.

Well it is the only game acting up. Everything else works just fine on the system. I wasn't really considering the power supply as more the genesis itself. It is a genesis II. I would have to dig an original out of the box downstairs to see if the game clears up. I can try another power supply.
Thanks for the help so far

I don't have a mutitap yet. I was just wondering if not having one if clue goes hay wire. From what I can tell it seems like that cart is doing something funky. I test both joysticks on another two player game and they work just fine.
-
My wife and her sister was playing clue the other day and it was the first time they had two controllers pluged in. Well they both went haywire. I was freaking out because the good controllers are on top of the pile while the one bad controller was on the bottom. Something I need to look into. Now I believe this can support a muti-tap for four joysticks. Do I need this to not cause a problem with two joysticks. On another note I went back and tested each button and both joysticks seperatly with another game and they worked just fine. Perhaps that is the problem. I'll have to try both of them again with another mutiplayer game. Any help would be greatfull.
Thanks......

Decided to hit the local slavation army. Something I have not done in a while. I did score a boxed sega master system. The box is in pretty bad shape but the system worked just fine. Anway, I spotted out of the corner of my eye what I thought was one of the newer c64 unit all white. Instead it was a c128 and two disk drives. one of the newere 1541D drives and the older version. No power brick though. Then I saw the price and died. $50.00 dollars. No monitor, No dust cover, no software, and no way was I going to pick it up. On the other hand I did locate software. Most was on another shelf for .75 cents a pop. Since I don't have any commadore stuff anway. I saw no need to pickup games. This did however, have a sega genesis and games that just came in. They was not priced yet so I was going to go back at the end of the week.
As for another more expensive find but I guess okay. Savers had two genesis games for a crazy 4.99 each. One was star trek and the other was Taz. The taz came with box but not instructions. I don't really mind paying 4.99 for a cart with box and especially with instructions but I still kinda wondering if I should have just passed up the star trek game.

After reading what they did with the flash rom update. Make me wonder is they could flash it to be PS3 comptable. I doubt it though since I'm sure the ps3 will have different chipsets and stuff.

I would like to state once again this idea is not ahead of its time. Companies tried to sell data services and software to companies. You would rent your software that you needed.
1. You could rent as much or as little software as you needed.
2. You could have one user or "preffered" 100 users licenses.
3. Don't pay for what you don't need.
4. Automacitly have access to new versions of software when it comes out.
5. Your files can be save on our secure system.
6. You can print out locally at your computer or for a small fee you can have your documents printed professionally.
Well the list goes on. The list of problems goes on too.
1. Companies upgrade on their software when they feel like it. Yes, most of their business models if I remeber correctly showed a one to two year time cycle. Well, from what I could see try more like three to five year time cycle.
2. People don't like to pay for software. So what is they have a 100 user license and 110 machines. If you can take a guess. All 110 machines will have that software on it.
3. I never did really found out about the additional printing services. I can only guess places like kinkos and stuff put them out of business. Since you could get your stuff right their instead of overnight.
4. The way the software was installed or accessed on the computer. Two things come to mind. One was a high speed data line to your business, The other you was basicly using your computer as a dumb terminal to access programs remotely.
If I thought about it or bothered to looke it up. I'm sure I Could make a few corrections. Their is a few exceptions thow. Look at webserver hosting. That is a big business and pretty much is the same thing.

Interesting Audio and Video stuff
in Atari 8-Bit Computers

I remeber the kid flying around with the atari XE computer for flight simulator and one of the atari 2600 comercials. I know I watched comercials fro nintendo and stuff when at home wacthing cartoons saturday morning. But I don't remeber much of anything. Funny how the memory works. On the XE game system. I would have had no idea what they was talking about for running existing xe/xl game carts because I didn't even know atari made computers until I was older. So once again it should have played or had an adaptor to play 2600/7800 games. I even passed a complete boxed system up used years ago when I found out it wouldn't take atari 2600/7800 system carts. I had about 30 of them at the time and though most of the atari 8 bits stuff along with carts was showing up. I didn't want to start another cart collections. You know room and money for games I already had.
