I loved Moon Patrol. I first fell in love with it when I ran into the Arcade version in the grocey store. It was the first and only Atari game I order brand new from Atari. After I realized the 2600 jr was a small version of a 2600 woody I picked up used from a yard sale years before that. The funny part is the game died. When I think of computer games. I still think of 80’s to early 90’s stuff. I forget about high-end graphics, full screen video, and killer stereo sound. I think of Galaxian, Pac man, Pole Position, Super Mario Brothers, Rampage. Somebody comes to me and ask what games I have played recently. I yell out Paperboy, Wonder boy, Primal Rage, Chop Lifter, and need I go on? So they ask what system is that on? Play station 2, Xbox, Game cube? Sure, I say, some of them are. But to really experience you need something like Atari, Nes, and Genesis. Well isn’t that old school? Yes, It is and I love it. Sincerely, Josh P.S. I ran into this stuff before. Somebody selling something nobody care for will put a common name in the description or even be bold to put it in the wrong category. I find the problem all the time in the eletronics areas under computers and phone systems. Later, Josh

I would urge all software developers of new and old software release their stuff to public domain (Within Reason). This is a good argument to bring back a retro 7800 system though. Later, Josh

Well, after all this time of looking at overpriced nes systems and passing them up. I walked into a thrift store and in a bag was the following. 1. NES 1. Controller 2. RF. Adaptors 1. Power Supply 1. Microphone (Don't even go to anything) All for just $5.00. Appears to be the original 1985 model. At least the copyright says so. The controller is a later revision. I also spoted some additional controllers at another thrift store. I'll be going back to pick those up. I'll take the extra one after testing them and convert it to a atari 7800. I still need to find a game to test it with too. Hopefully all will turn out okay. Later, Josh

They have tried this idea with so many different products. People don't like the idea of paying for nothing. I know that sounds crazy. People want something physical in there hands. Like a 5" cd or dvd disc with a game. Now if you could purchase the game and burn it to a cd (Like they are doing with the music finally) or if this system was backward compatible with some of the older systems like the dreamcast. We might have something. This also reminds me of webtv. The systems you could plug into broad band, use a regular ISP, or hack seemed to have after market sales when the company went under. I searched for the Great Giana Sisters. I can tell you it was not that game I played. So it must have been the Super Mario Hack. I cannot believe Nintendo won the law suite. I finally got my list of games. Thinking I had tons of repeats. Well no, so far I have two repeats. Plus, I still couldn't find my Atari 2600 woody in plastic case. Still hiding somewhere. At one time I was thinking of putting not only a tv in a wood cabinet but might as well chuck a record player and sterio in it too. Never got off the design board though. Thinking of the 60-70's style console television/other. Later, Josh

Yea, what is it with companies purchasing stuff. I found at the place I come from. One of the local Business phones was purchasing telephone system phones for like $1.00 - $3.00. Then turning around and trying to sell them for $100.00. Guess they need to keep the market live or something. One of the reason I appriciate ebay. Now I can get a phone that would have cost $100.00 for $5.00 or more. Luck has been on my side. When I moved I found plenty of phones for my phone system in my house. So I'm stocked for life. When I was a young lad in 80 something I was able to talk my parents into going to Computer Land. The sales person talked to my parents about prices of computers and let me play Super Mario Brothers on what I seem to remeber as an Amiga. Could have been a later version of C64 or 128. My parents declined and said they couldn't aford it. Anway, I have yet to find Super Mario Brother on anything except Nintendo or at the Arcade. Can somebody please tell me I'm not crazy. Also it was defently not just Mario brothers. Speaking of Computer Land. I remeber they was one of the stores that pushed stuff out the door right before the company discontinued it. Later, Josh

At first I thought it loaded wrong. First thing I did was hit the refresh button. Then realized, the horrible screen was not a bad page load. Times when job security sucks. Later, Josh

I took a look at the website and didn't see anything about reproduction items. What worries me is for instance on 5200 diagnostic cart starts talking about must need item for collectors. This may be true. But, I would like to know if it is a reproduction or not. So if I run into a real cart. Then I can keep the two seperate. The other question for instance on the kit would be the parts they used. Most companies will say if the kit is based on original parts or not. VCR belts are a good example. I picked up a belt kick. It included more belts than needed. The company who sold it to me came right out and said it was a generic belt kit for the following VCR listed and more. I was even thinking about printing labels. It came to me to put something on each label to show it was a reprint label. For instance a small asterik in the lower corner of the new label. You could always e-mail them and ask them up front. Plus alot of guys/gals know what is a reproduction or not. I can't wait the day to pickup a prototype cart and ask them if it is real or not. Laters, Josh
