Yes, the higher end accounts allow more thrills. Do to a few bad choices in my life. I cannot aford to select one of these higher option accounts. I honestly don't care for any bank. I have had small problems at all the banks I have went to at one point or another. Keybank, First security (Now Wells Fargo), Zions bank and Bank of America. I'm currently at Bank of America and they seem to be okay. I got a free account with no minimal balance. I have to at least have one direct desposit or deposit through the atm machine. I'm only allowed three in brance visits per month. Unlimited checking and a free savings account that also has no minimal balance. I can transfer money back and forther between the two accounts no problem. I cannot speak for any other bank. I have read horror stories all over the internet about other banks including Chase. But, the stories seem to not effect everybody. For the hand full of people who are pissed at the bank you can find more who is not. Plus people who are pissed can easily inflat the story. I'll be honest, I try to be correct when possible. My rule of thumb is only to beleive what you ran into yourself. So if you had no problem with any banks. You could blow off my story and I understand completly.
As for the bank charging a check cashing fee. That is only if you take the check to a bank you don't have an account with. So if I get a wells fargo check from a friend or business and try to cash it. They would nail me $5.00 for a check cashing fee. Yes, this is something new. I was introduced to it a year ago and found out it has been tried or in other areas already. I found out alot of people don't even know the policy exists, since they already have a bank account and can cash anything they want for nothing. I had a bank account for years before leaving the bank since I make a bad choice money wise. I forgot all the cr*p I had to goto to cash a simple check. Two forms of ID in a credit card / drivers license. Some banks would treat you like a second rate customer and now ofcourse, the $5.00 check cashing fee. So I did break down and get another account against my wishses. To avoid the check cashing fee
As for the pay in cash. Yes, it works out much better for the business over head. Don't cost anything to put cash in the bank. Well that is only partly true. I can put up a list of pros and cons. For the computer business, I worked in computer for seven years. We smilled all the way to the bank when somebody paid 1,600.00 cash for a system. Didn't have to worry about bouncing a check. The cash was posted asap to the account. So on and so forth. So if I ordered five boxes of hard drives. Each box contained 20 drives a peice. I make $20.00 a drive cash, compaired to say $15.00 a drive since somebodies check bounced or they desputed a credit card claim. Plus the fee for using the credit machine. So on and so forth. Any person who has worked in a company or as in my case a small company understands all the stupid fees envolved. If you are in business it seems like all the other businesses think you have money to support their business. Credit cards work a little differenlty. They work like microsoft. Everybody uses a credit card and are even encourage to ask business who don't have a credit card machine if they can use the credit card. The company I worked for finally broke down and ordered one. Against are will. If I remeber correctly that part of an argument was used in a lawsuit against the credit card companies. They credit card companies lost. As standard depending on how you look at outcome really nobody one. One again this is another story.
Yes, I have been told to write a book. But, if I take out all of the sh*t and put in only my personal experiance. It wouldn't be much of a book since I like to get to the point. These posts are not 100% to the point. As you can see they are not edited before posting. If I did, I could probably shrink this post into a simple paragraph.
Thanks for the understanding,

What bank are you at? ATM fees' outside your bank for not using one of their machine has always been normal. Worst case is an e-trade machine. not only do they hit you up for three dollar fee. Our bank hit us with an aiddtional fee. I was told we could probably get the internal bank fee waived. But it is our choice to use an atm machine not associate with our bank. Yes, if you open an account and cash checks at that bank. You will not get charged a fee. I asume it depends what state you are in. For the check cashing fee. Check written from that bank and then you trying to cash it at that bank without an account started in New York from my understanding. Then worked it way to California a few years ago. Then about a year or so ago it started in Idaho. Banks gave us a simple answer. Open up an account and avoid the fee. I have also heard tellers explain they are not a check cashing facility. I don't know how they are their. But, check cashing facilities has springed up everwhere. They also cover money orders, western union, stamps and check loans. It could just be honestly Idaho. If we are not behind the times we are getting scr*wed. Most of the stuff I found out already exhisted before hitting Idaho. Not to be rude but I have heard of customers from banks demanding money to be credited to their account even when using a atm from another bank. In most cases the bank for that select few customers (in good standing) refunds the money. I hope this is not to much information. I'm just telling you what I see in Idaho. Yes, I did finally go around and choose a bank for us. Best deal of the time. Mostly so we wouldn't get nailed $5.00 check cashing fee for not having an account. Both me and my wife get paid weekly, so that can add up. $5.00 is a bargin compaired to check cashing places. You can end up with $7.00 to cash a $400.00 check.

I can't say I know anything about Contracts between the credit card companies and the companies. I know in Idaho tons of companies started to charge extra if you purchased something under $5.00. Since it isn't worth their time to sell you something. In some cases I have seen $10.00. For credit/debit card purchases that is. Before I moved up here to the state capital I heard about places getting ride of their credit card machine. The place I moved from, that did not happen. I was shocked to find how many places up here did. But, this is a bigger area and alot more stores.
I also looked up about charging for fees in atm machines. The states that have laws against it are under fire. I wanted to know why Idaho didn't have law to cover not only atm fee's but check cashing fees if you cash the check at the bank the check was written with. The banks was able to convence the federal agency that when you use a atm machine or cash a check you are a customer of a bank. Since you are a customer of the bank they can charge you a fee. Currently if you look up texas. They had a law that was struck down. Plus, banks are in the works are killing simular laws in other states. To clearify things, if you use your atm at your bank or cash a check at your bank that you have an account with. You won't get chraged these extra fee's. Currently $5.00 to cash a check, 1.00-3.00 for atm use outside your bank.
I think I got it all. I have a list of stupid things. Sometimes they have some point, other do not.

Normally I would agree on this. But, if they are going to charge you a fee. Then you should be entitled to make that fee up. That the comsumer should decide weither they want to use their credit/debit card. Business have the right to charge additional charges for credit/debit card use outside ebay. So now I'm going to have to suffer some more since the seller decided to accept paypal payments and jack their price up to compensate no matter if I send a money order or not.
Thanks Alot E-Hell,

Rock Fox is trying to sell the game. We talked about parting it out or not. He would like to see it go in one peice. Simple, fast, good cash and a nice home. We also talked about parts being listed. So if any of you guys/gals want arcade game. Go for it. Also if you can explain to him better about jamma. I tried my best to explain what jamma is and my plans when I find a cheap cabinet.
Thank You,
Josh

One thing I hate about the new pinball machines is the flashing lights on some. They seem to always go off right when the ball is in the worst place. The game seems to be designed this way. The older the game is, the longer I can last and the more points I can rack up. Defenetly no flashing lights. For the mechanical machines. I do love them the best. Make me want to say Fubar digital displays to a point.

I remeber playing combat for the first time. I looked at the instructions and realized it was a two player game. I thanked my lucky stars the used system I picked up from a yard sale included additional single player games. Now knowing for many years that Combat was the first game to be included make me ask this question. Why not put a single player game into the system? To sell additional VCS units? To sell at least one more single player cart at $30.00? Seems to me Atari knows what they was doing.

When I picked up my 32x adaptor for the Genesis. It came with a Mono AV cable. (Video / Right Channel) I didn't think anything of this until I noticed a sterio AV cable to be attached from the back of the 32x unit. Does it make that much of a difference?

I admit it is about time to print or make a list of games I own for the Sega CD/32X genesis system and Master system. I had to do it with the Atari 2600 system. To many games to try to remeber. I admit my sega cart collection is no where big. I think last time on ruff count when I was cleaning stuff up. I had a little over 30 sega carts. Can't remeber much else though. As for the house. Good thing it won't be at my house. My wife will make me clean. LOL

I have a pile of sega cd games. I decided only to pickup the games I wanted though. Especially since I don't care much for sports. To be honest at one time in Idaho it would have been easy to pickup a full collection for a few bucks. But, for the most part that time passed.

That is a really good design, Unlike the standard smoke top style that allows you to only hold a small amount of games with controllers or more games under the Atari unit itself. It almost brings a tear to my eye.

Now if only one would show up with buy it now.
I learned my lessions about strange stuff. I passed up a 8-track player that played mutiple carts at a thrift store. In fact I passed up two in my life time. Now worth a few dollars. Both units needed a good cleaning and I already had a 8-track player. So I passed. Shame on me.

A while back I posted an article Old Thrift Store Finds / Coleco Vision Offers.
http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...=asc&highlight=
Later that night I realized how much it sounded like I was offering both the Atari 2600 games and colleco system. I asume it was because I started one article and decided to add the Coleco Vision offer. I then added to the message that I'm sorry for problem I created and explained the Atari games was not for sale. So I have learned a lesson. Make sure if I'm selling / trading any games. To post it in a different message.
Sorry for the problem,

If all I need to do is put orange stickers on the rom chips. I'll let them go chip. Say 250.00. That is half price. LOL

I was getting around to cleaning up those carts from the list I posted a while back. As stated the Dragon Fire cart was already open. So since the label is shot and the case is dirty than h*ll. I took the screws out to clean the contacts and case. Inside is a standar Imagic board with rom chip. Over the chip is a orange sticker with 01 or 10 in hand writing. Depending how you look at it. I asume it is nothing, but perhaps one of you could shed some light on it.
Thanks,

First of all that is just sick. But, what no chair? Also I was thinking of somebody making an Atari 2600 console out of old carts. You know damaged atari 2600 case with good guts. I guess you could call that recycled.

In one store employees got first pick. It was really nice when they changed that policy. Plus, they was taking off with stuff. If you are familar with Deseret Industries. The bishop can come in and reserve what they want. Beleive me they do. You see this nice peice of furniture, say used 1,200 dollars easy. But it is reserved, and given free. At least the last I heard. They might have to pay something.

It wouldn't be that bad if when the next game console comes out. If you could replace a board and have an upgraded system. I was thinking about what it would take and one of the things you would be swapping out is the cd drive itself along with the board. The rest of the unit could be left alone and have flash/on-line upgrades via the ethernet/wireless/sat/phone port.
I would give U.S. robotics as and example with the V. everything modem. But, look what happened to U.S. Robotics.

They probably will. I notice Microsoft loves to wait sometimes. Everybody comes out with their product or specs first. Then Microsoft either delays or comes out with better specs. Like Clockwork... I have known them to do it the other way around too.

I just did a buy it now for a Merlin BTMI. Yea, I know it is not atari. But for 10.00 compared to a normal 30.00-35.00. Pretty good. THis is also my first ebay purchase in over a year.
For those who don't know. A BTMI is a box that allows a normal phone/fax/modem/other on a Merlin Phone System.
Before that would be my Toshiba notebook. The price went up at the last moment. But, I still got it cheap enough. The last time I checked, I could probably make a good $20.00 profit on it. Doubt I could now though.

Can't Charge Extra For Pay Pal Credit Card Fee
in Auction Central
Posted
I'm not worried about the ebay sellers fee. This is because at a normal auction is conducted that way. You have a group or vehicle to sell and they charge you a percentage. Sometimes it is a flat fee. One place would sell you vehicle for just $30.00 per vehicle.
