  1. Hmm, Yes, the broadband adaptor now included on new system. If I would have remebered that from another message posted on this board. I would have realized they are different. Thanks for the information... Laters, Josh
  2. Once again, for a slot machine, it seems to have a better version of the game than the Atari 2600 cart. Hopefully, I find some in vegas. Laters, Josh
  3. I originally had two six switcher units. One of course, was taken/given to a kid. The oher I still have. I didn't even know their was two types. But, since the unit is still located out of my reach. I have no idea what it is. I just remeber it is a six switcher. I remeber the one the kid got had like yellow or orange on the joysticks/console. While my other system did not. If that helps. I always thought the bright color around the joysticks/unit sucked anyway. Just not my taste. Laters, Josh
  4. My goal is not to die before I finish my collection. Actually, their is a few games I have played or my wife and we still don't have them. Once again my list comes to mind. If only I had my list. Laters, Josh
  5. Bag or box of carts sold in a group that has one game you want and the rest is pacman, asteroids, combat. Laters, JOsh
  6. Nice hall on the C4 system in box. As for the Atari. Pretty good. Sometimes it is nice to find a system in a bad. Keeps the kids from playing with it sometimes. Plus you know what you get. As for the other stuff. Yea, I to pickup movies. Especially Laser Discs. Laters, Josh
  7. So is this the new replacement for the ps2? I heard they was closing out the old consoles. But, then again I heard the release date. I'm sure I missed something. Just bad company press I guess. Had it happen before. Looked up tons of information to get a correct opion. Laters, Josh
  8. My tips for soldering is. Make sure you have alot of bandages and cold water/gell. Laters, Josh P.S. Thanks for the tin tip. I forgot all about that. The rest is common sense.
  9. For 40.00 U.S. he could have aforded some type of rubbing alcohol and cleaned the critter. Dang. Wonder if he will try to stuff it into one of those Free Post Office Envelopes. Laters, Josh
  10. I remeber wanting to have an arcade cab for my NES. Then, I remeber seeing kids being able to order one. I got pissed since my parents didn't have any money. I also realized since I wasn't the first kid to have one. The idea sortof died. Laters, Josh
  11. This post started out about Atari 2600 games that I purchased for my collection. Currently the only thing up for offer is the Colleco Vision System/games. I already had some offers so I'll go ahead and put pictures up of the Colleco Vision / Games this weekend. Sorry about the confusion. As for the Atari games. I remeber having a few repeats but without my collection / list. I have no idea what they are. Beleive me I can't wait to get the rest of my collection. So I can start trading. To bad my memory is gone. Laters, Josh
  12. Old Thrift Store Finds. These carts I picked up and never had time even mark them off my list, remove the price tags or fix the labels. I hope to start up collecting again. My first trip out of this area will be an automatic stop at thrift stores. Xenox Double Ender Ghost Manor / Spike's Peak Chuck Norris/Artillery Dual Both of these was purchased from a game store. I went back for the other two and they was gone. (Need to remove price tags) The rest of the carts was found in thrift stores: (At least 2 years or more ago, So this would have been my latest find) Cosmic Creeps Telesys (Color Standard) PCB board is loose in cart. Atlantis Imagic (text) Laser Gates Imagic (text) Screws was removed. I asume for cleaning Dishaster Zimage (Good condition/label starting to bubble) Star Wars The empire strikes back SwordQuest EarthWord (silver label) Revenge of Beefsteak tomatoes Space Combat Sears Tele-games (Picture) Lock N' Chase (Bad end label) Needs price tag removed Adventure (My wife remebered this game asap. She couldn't wait to play it) Defender (Picture NO blue label) Galaxian Atari (Silver Label) Needs price tag removed Moon Patrol Atari (Silver Label) One of my personal favorites/price tag remove Dragon Fire Imagic (Picture) Screws removed. I asume for cleaning Flag Capture (Text) Price Tag needs to be removed/something jiggles inside cart Amidar Parker Brothers Needs price tag removed Bank Heist 20th century fox (Good Label) Needs price tag removed Pooyan Kionami (Good Label) Smurf Rescue in Gargemel's Castle (Label starting to peel) Backgammon Atari (Text) On other things: Pooyan was almost passed up. Luckly for me the Bright label caught my eye. Moon Patrol is a replacement cart from a thrift store. My first and only Atari game ever purchased new from Atari. It lasted for many years and died. Then I had the hardest time trying to find a replacement. I just wish the label was in mint condition like my original cart. Coleco Vision/parts: I purchased this unit and tested it. Then cleaned it and that was it. The poor system died. I might consider offers. Nothing final! Would come with power supply, dirty track ball, and one dirty controller. I honestly can't decide what to do with it. I love the games but, with a dead unit, I'm out of luck. Better than ending up in the trash or on e-bay. I will try (repeat try) to post pictures. If I get told several times to please post a picture with some good offers. I'll probably consider it. I like the person to know what they are getting before the money even hits the mail. No, I don't remeber how well the other items work. I remeber testing Grogs Revenge before cleaning the sytsem. The Cart worked just fine Following Games: Carnival Sega Gorf Donkey Kong (Label in bad shape) Mr. Do Venture B.C. Quest for Tires II Grog's Revenge Victory Mouse Trap Labels are in okay shape. Deffenetly not mint. If you have any questions. Just post a reply. Laters, Josh
  13. Seems to me if you hit the right year. You got tons of stuff. Year of computers Year of old game systems Year of strange cr*p Laters, Josh
  14. I thought the same thing. Then I asked and found out they had a few different people pricing. One guy was even not allowed to price anymore for pricing stuff way to low. I'm like, B*st*rds. Laters, Josh
  15. I love ebay for the shipping charges. To bad we don't know if it was an honest mistake or not. I have passed on a few items. I even went as far to e-mail the seller. Got the same response somebody else posted already. Um, shipping and handling. But you think for $10.00 it would 2nd day air. Laters, Josh
  16. That was just great. Also a great bit for a info comerical too. Now if they did that in 84. I bet it would have people killed for it. Beat themselves with sticks at Sears for the system. Need I go on. Laters, Josh
  17. This sortof happens to alot of things. Not in the Boise area mind you. Stuff gets picked up so fast in the big city. It isn't even funny. For those who live in Idaho. My best find is in smaller towns. Hopefully right after they put stuff out on the floor. Things seem to come and go in lots. (Good Luck anymore) 1. Franklin Ace (Seemed a school was behind that bunch) 2. Several Apple II systems. (Once again a school/Personal Users) 3. Texas Instruments (Personal Users) 4. Atari 2600/Carts (Personal Users) 5. Atari 8 bit computers (Personal Users) 6. Nintendo NES (Personal Users) 7. Macintosh systems I Notice it picks up during the beginning of summer when spring cleaning is or towards the end of summer (Left over garage sale items). I admit most of the big lots are picked through because of ebay. My honest to goodness last purchase of anything good. That I can remeber is a intellivision II. Looked like somebody chucked it in a box with games. Then they just moved the box out of the thrift store floor. Everything was in mint condition. Almost all the carts had manuals/templates. The system looked new due to the plastic holder it was in. Ah, yes the good old days. Laters, Josh
  18. I use a big plastic container for the 2600/carts. I'm looking at changing it to smaller plastic containers. But they must be sealed. I can't tell you how much that has saved me in possible damage. I also clean my carts. I remove any non original price tags and I leave any original markings. I figured it shows a good use for the cart. I'm also looking at creating a database. But I'm so lazy and I have been saying that for years. This does bring me up to a good question. When I first got my used carts and traded them. I put stickers on them. Should I leave those stickers? I think they would add value. At least the one that have not fell off yet. laters, Josh
  19. Used wood grain 6 switch system from a yard sale in the mid 80's. Can't get more specific on time. As a child going to yard sales was more important than what year it was. Still works find last time I checked. 1 year ago. Luckly I have my 7800 system to tied me over. Laters, Josh
  20. Just wondering about the stuff? It would be nice to see new and wonderful things. Thanks, Josh
  21. Years ago when I had more money and time. I would drive 100 miles in each direction from my home town. To hit the thrift stores in other towns. Luckly, I only did it about once every so many months. Josh
  22. When the end of the world comes forth. I'll still be purchasing old games and systems. Laters, Josh
  23. My brother in law is crazy for sport games. He also loved to play sports. I have concluded that I'm lucky not to like sports. I like startrek instead and so I don't have to worry about that many games. Lets see hmm, how many startrek games are their for the atari? Um, one. Laters, Josh
  24. I beleive some of this might be in another topic somewhere. If not, please enjoy. I have been there and it was sad. I didn’t like pushing people out of the way. But I loved to have my hands on the first box of carts they would bring out. Hugging them all to myself until I found out what I did not want. Laughing secretly to others that I found the stash before anybody else touched them. I’m a lot more laid back now. Yes, I will go over and check out the items. But, I don’t find myself running to them anymore. Drooling over them in my hands. Even talking to other people about what carts are worth more than others. Laters, Josh
