I question when my box of Atari stuff, turned into a collection. I figured it was when I printed off a list on the Internet to find games I didn’t have in my collection. I know I lost it that day. When I referred to my friendly Atari 2600 as a collection. Now I was willing to spend more than just .50 cents on a cart. I'll probably spend more as time goes on. So you wanted to know where cart prices would be? Defently higher because of my poor judgement. Thinking Atari carts are worth more than .50 cents a peice. I'm Sorry, Josh

Is the Hulk rom going to be released in time for the film?
ussexplorer replied to PeeknPoke's topic in Atari 2600
The movie was a great idea. But could have been done alot better. It was the time everbody loved ducks. I think of disney and darkwing duck. To see a live movie of that would kick rear. Since howard the duck gave me a good look into it. Best seen is when he flies over that lady in the bath tub. I cannot figure out why even have that scene. Perhaps to show how stupid or cazy it was. Hey, that cart the Cat pissed on. Refurb that. Then we will talk about me getting a new car. You can have my old one. The one about the car. I know a parent who did that. Plus the kid had to pay for the parents old car. They had it setup so they would be paying for a while before they could go and trade it for a better/different car. Ha, Ha, Ha, Laters, Josh

Thanks for all the information. Up until recently I didn't even know Neo Geo had something other than an arcade cabinet or portable system. I didn't realize they had a full size game system. But yea for $500.00 I would stay with something else. My mark for game systems new is $100.00. That is why I'm having such a hard time getting a PS/2. Since I'm married I need at least two controllers. Plus a few memory cards. Games don't figure into my equation because they are everywhere. That reminds me of a good post. Who waits for the systems in all to hit a standard $100.00 Price? New or Used/Refubished/Renewed/etc/etc. As for the Game Boy. After looking at the Game Gear. I was luckly I didn't spend money on a peice of crap. No, I'm not talking about the Game Gear. Laters, Josh

Didn't the neo geo plug into the dream cast via a cable? Also, I live in Idaho and here you have a few things. If the item is really big we will get it. If the item is not. We might never see it. In fact I find alot of things still selling strong outside of Idaho. But, I'll maybe only see it once. When I saw the neo geo it was win it hit big. I guess I could say it is the situation in Idaho. Business owners have to be carefull. Laters, Josh

1. Hopefully Avoid the Game Crash. Even, if I couldn't, I still have several other options. 2. Release the 7800 Followed a few years later from 1984 with a new system 3. Leave the computer market early. Most companies who left the market early when they lost the war. Seemed to do okay. At least for the U.S. Not sure what year it would have been. Due to Atari Success in foreign markets. 4. Make sure to keep original employees and bring in new people for new ideas. 5. At some point probably sell part of the company. 6. Contiunue to make arcade stuff. But deffently keeping both the arcade unit seperate from the game console. (Except for game ports) That is about it. Laters, Josh

I forgot about the 4 player aspect. I wish you luck with your wife in that case. Good luck on finding a good condition cab for a good price. laters, Josh

What switch box are you going to use? I have several game systems and I know if I link all the rf units together. It gives one crappy signal. So I sortof got something like what you got SMS - RF SEGA Genesis - A/V SNES - A/V Atari 7800/2600 RF The bigest problem is trying to find one that is cheap and yet covers both RF/AV Laters, Josh

If you are not interesed in all the artwork. You can get pretty small cabinets. Then just wire it up to take the proper pcb board. Well mostly wire it to jamma. That is what I'm going to do. Since room in my house is limited. A small cab is what I'm going for. Laters, Josh

Video Game Trading Post I found this store in Boise, Idaho after moving up from Pocatello. I know I had to find a small out of the way game place not associated with a big name franchise. Not that these stores are nice. But the knowledge of most of the employees only went back so far. I would say all the employees. But like Radio Shack you get somebody that knows everything. Those guys/gals need to get paid more. My quest was simple: 1. Find a place with tons of older game carts/systems. 2. An employee who knows almost everything about any game system. 3. A good price that is not an arm and a leg. This place fit the bill, tons of Genesis/Saturn/Nintendo games. No Atari but several third party or after market items. Most I couldn’t find anyplace else except e-bay. A point program to collect points for discount or free used games. Plus he answered my 5,000 questions without getting pissed. Do you have a ram cart for the Sega cd, an RF adaptor, light gun, mouse, etc, etc was some of the questions. Not once saying anything bad. Hey, the guy even wanted to know if the Magnavox odyssey worked that I picked up from a friend. It however, did not. For a while he was even open Sunday. Well that is my good store find. Laters, Josh

If they could figure out a way to transfer a game to a memory stick. So you just go out and purchase a memory stick to copy your older ps/p2 games to it. That would be cool. Long live the Game Gear. Laters, Josh

Before we sold the unit back to my sister in law. We picked up that game. My wife spent hours on it. It was not hard to control the fish with the microphone. We stopped playing the game because it required daily input or your fish or seaman died. As for the microphone. Their was a few other games being produced or talked about. That was suspose to use the microphone. I asume most or all was vaporware. If I remeber correctly. Their might be 1 other game for it. If so I did not find it in our local used game store or have any idea of the name. Laters, Josh

I was thinking the past couple of days. Right before my brain exploded I came up with the following thought. Most talk about how many things caused the big game blow out in the early 80’s. One of these was to many carts on the market. So I jump forward to the early 90’s and see tons of left over NES and Genesis games. I picked up a few new genesis goodies based on this. Yet the game industry is still going good. Now I look at the Play Station. Tons of PS and PS2 games everywhere. So why is the industry still going strong? Are we building up to another blowout? Are their just not enough other factors going on? Enjoy, Josh P.S: Please add to this for additional questions. Yes, I do know home computers were hitting it big at the same time.

Out of all the items I have purchased. I forgot to post one feed back. Please don't hurt me. Laters, Josh

Normally, I only sell on ebay when I already have an item, upgrading an existing item or don't have use for the item. Example: I purchased a very early model of a pioneer laser disc. Later on I replaced that model with a newer model. So I listed the laser disc on ebay for the price I paid for it originaly at the thrift store. (Sometimes I added $3.00 or so to the price for gass) I also did the same with a phone system. I had an excutone system I didn't want to install in my house. So when I picked up a merlin box and phones. I put the excutone phone system up on ebay. That turned a nice profit since it was free and I started the bidding at like $5.00 Plus whatever shipping would turn out to be. It ended up going for over $100.00 I normally let customers pick who they want to ship from. Ups, fedex, etc. Laters, Josh

In the area I live in. My wife, I and my brother in law works for a company. If you card does not work. Hopefully it was a computer error or you was fired/laid off. End of story. Ofcourse, if you was fired you can appeal for Unemployment and if you was laid off. Unemployment is basicly automatic. As for the companies it is a right to work state. The last time they had a major lay off at the place I worked at. They offered packages and help for finding jobs. I have found companies can do just about anything they want providing it is not descrimination. Yea, I do take a deep breath every time when I put my card up to the door. Not much else to say, Josh

Infogames should puchase Sega. Then they can pull all the games together and release a enhanced version of dreamcast under Atari name. Want something to replace your old system? Atari+ Handles: Saturn Genesis (CD/32X) and carts DreamCast Jaguar Carts/CD Options: 2600/7800 expander with 30 games included built in.

This weekend I went to the biggest flea market in my state..
ussexplorer replied to BatmiteReturns's topic in Atari 2600
It is all on ebay now. Overpriced and worth nothing. May I burn in sin for that remark. Laters, Josh -
Well, if they own the rights they can do what they want. I was reading alot was pissed and even seen a few Atari games advertised as Infogames. It would be nice to see a true Atari show up again. Nothing would please me more than to see a new Arcade unit with the nice Atari label. I fear that this is just a stunt to get more attention. So many companies have changed their names in the last few years to do that. It is just stupid now. As for a console unit. It could be done. But, that would be a uphill battle all the way. Game base and such. Well that is my two cents. Josh

NFR Unit with Box Not Mine Must be rare, book says so. :)
ussexplorer replied to ussexplorer's topic in Auction Central
I was making a remark about the book. Not the NFR. I don't really care for collectors guides. Yes, the book is a good reference sometimes. But I find alot of times the information is inflated. Laters, Josh
