In the 1980's or more like 1991. I can't remember my parents purchased me a used apple ii plus with 1 disk drive, monitor, tons of software, okidata printer and a few other goodies. Stupid me sold it to fund some parts for a pc instead. Anyway after passing up tons and tons of apples for killer prices at thrift store and non killer prices due to not having any space. well it would sit out in a garage. I passed them all up. Then behold an Apple ii plus showed up for $250.00, I had to get a hold of somebody up in Boise Idaho to get it for me and they currently have it. I hope to make a trip or they make a trip down so I know what all I got. I do know when they turned it on. It was line and dots on the screen. When they did the reset it tried to boot the floppy. I'm thinking bad ram chip or something simple. I know it has at least one floppy drive, screen, okidata printer, software, paddle controllers, and the following cards. Microsoft 64? memory card to upgrade the system to a total of 64k. The sticker on the bottom said factory 48k. A hayes modem, graphics plus printer card, and a disk drive controller. It also has a few manuals. From my understanding it a few boxes. The friend who is holding it in Boise is sending pictures to a point. But does not want to unpack everything. I explained to him that is fine. I already know about the printer since I had the same or close to same model. As for the story it is all packed up. The guy got it sipped from his uncles place. Says his uncle took good care of everything. From the pictures it seems a tad dusty but fine. So now for my questions. 1. I remember wanting to running apple works back in the day. It required 2 disk drives and a 80 column card. Stupid me didn't realize the 80 column card for the iie and ii plus is different. I know they did mfg a 80 column card for the 2 plus. But i want to make sure I get the best one. 2. Adding a 2nd disk drive is normal. But I didn't notice and seem to read that if you get an updated disk controller you can put the newer style drives I see on say apple IIgs on the system. I'm still trying to find out if the 3.1/2 drives will work. The only thing I found so far is no unless you have a current certain aftermarket disk controller. 3. With the said upgrade. Can I play the stuff for apple iie as well or did I sc*w up and get the wrong machine. Though I did read something interesting. I know you can put a iigs board in a iie. But I was reading you can put a iie board in a ii plus. You just don't have caps or the apple keys since it is still using a apple ii keyboard. Though this defeats the purpose. Thank You, Josh

Don't give up hope. After years of finding nothing at a thrift store. (Well not true. A while back I found 2 Sega Genesis games I didn't have.) A nice selection of Sega Dream cast Games. I got a good bundle and a couple of duplicates. But who cares, for $2.00 each, I'm not crying. Also picked up a virtual racing for $5.00. and probably over paid for it. Also found 2 Sega CD games and a joystick. Joystick was $6.00. Normally I pass on that for the price. But I have never seen that style before. What really got me is I was out with family friends this morning and my understanding is they put out a whole collection. I was told by one of the workers it was donated yesterday. Still for somebody to miss all the Dream Cast games. About 4 of the games need to be polished at the local video store. The rest are in great condition. Another Deal in the works. Also I'm working on a Facebook market place deal for an Atari 2600 jr (no box,) and misc. goodies. Including a box of Atari Roms used back int he day for "cough cough" pirate games. The funny part is years ago at a thrift store. I saw a modified board with a zif socket in it and a few cases of chips. Stupid me didn't purchase them. When I went back they was gone. A few days later the chips showed back up but no board. I have thought a couple of time of ordering the stuff to make a cart for said chips. But I'm to lazy. Kinda of like going through and e-pay a stack of common games and such. TTFN, Josh -
It has been a while since I posted and ran across another if you really want it that bad. You will pay the price. The other day I was out thrifting and ran into Winter Challenge Video Game Classic from Accolade in the blue / yellow box. I searched ebay and came up with this. https://www.ebay.com...UoAAOSwE0JY9gKh $950.00 I doubt it is worth this and no I do not have the included poster. From my understanding a lawsuit happened and they re-released the game as a official sega game. So I have no idea on what this is worth and I'm to lazy to post it on ebay at a lower price to see if it goes for anything. Knowing a boxed copy of the official game goes for like $15.00 I did do something searching around the net and most of the prices reflected the later release. So any guess on what a good price for it? No i'm lazy to put a picture up. Has the normal part k&b toys price tag and then another tag on the side for 24.99. Perhaps a used game store or something. not sure. I'm thinking it is one those ebay items that if you want it bad enough. You pay for it and nothing else. Probably just end up in my collection with the other genesis games I got. No it is not for sale either. This is mostly just a price hunt. Thanks, Josh

Once joystick and a sealed game. They also had 2 atari joysticks in a original box. But the box was beat to crapola and they wanted 10.00 for that. No, got enough joysticks. TTFN, Josh -

Game stores are interesting. We now have a total of three game stores. Game crazy via the hollywood video. That was first. Then game the Gamestop in a new plaza they built. Finally the new Play N Trade. I don't goto them much myself. The last time I was in one was with my GF and we was looking at WII. I don't know how they are doing but the last time I talked to them at Gamestop the Play N Trade across the street was getting there customers. Don't know if that was since they was new or what. But the Play N Trade has NES clones. They also had some atari games but admited they was just mostly for show but also for sale. I did pickup a dreamcast keyboard for about what they go for on ebay or less. I think it was 10.00. As for local prvt games shops. Years ago there was one in the mall that closed up. It was mostly his collection and it was a great place to stop. Picked up atari, genesis, and misc items. Plus he would bargin too. The last time I felt that great about a game place was one in boise idaho. They also are now gone. Sigh. The one in boise left when the rent went up on the building. They had a choice of staying or getting out. So after like 15 years or something they got out. But hey this is the life of businesses. Most of you guys covered good points. So I figured I would add my 2 cents into this topic. Later, Josh -

Picked up another Nintendo Game & Watch. Panorama Screen. For 1.00. I assume the batteries are dead in it since i tried it in the donkeykong jr and it didn't work either. So either they are both dead or need new batteries. The donky kong jr one I picked up a while back for 5.00. So one of these days I"ll get a picture of the mickey mouse one. No box or anything. Well, found a few things here and there. The other day I picked up some more sega cd games and then like yesterday. I noticed they was filling up a cart with stuff from there display case. I'm like hey can I get those for like cheap. They was like 1.00 a peice. Sure no problem. Compaired to 3.00 a peice. 5 sports games for sega genesis. Still looking for that all overpriced sega cd backup cart. Then today tuesday 09-16-2008. Found this nintendo game and watch donky kong jr. Was it every release in the US. Found the Eu, JP, and what not. No batteries yet to try it. It was 5.00 below is the pic. later, Josh -
As with the past I prefer to trade. But I do have a paypal account. The following is duplicate games I have. No, I have not tested them. But if you are really interested. Testing is no problem. I'm going to send them via U.S Mail in a generic plastic game case. I have not done this yet but since I have tons of empty plastic game cases. Why not use them. Below is the list. Pictures upon request. Honestly I would rather kill the whole lot in one shipment. Plz if I missed something worth a little money. It would help. Point it out. No, I'm not a jerk. I won't put it on epay. I would rather have all of this end up with another collector first. No gurantees on games unless one is DOA. If you want to pay via paypal. I'll do it like my ebay auctions. Fast as I can and professional. Atari 2600 All Loose No Manuals or Boxes Stampede (Label is sliced and diced.) LaserBlast (Wom label with either some black spots on it.) Mouse Trap ( Label has scuff marks / rubbed. Like if you take a eraser to it) Star Raiders (Dark Faded with some marks that look like somebody took a pen and paper then impressed it against the cart to wite) Free Way (Nice label. Look bright red. One of the better or best ones I have seen) Adventure (Gunk on label. Faded / color blead) Space Cavern (Blue Label, Missing Top label) - No I do not collect colors. So this is up for grabs. Combat (WTF am I listing this one. Text Label Marks impressed like above. Sombody pressed a pen with paper over it or something.) Galaxian. (Silver label. Owners name on it. Faded and dirty label. Might be able to clean it up) Defender (Picture Label. Okay fading. LIttle dirty.) Space Invaders (Pictur Label. Looks like some take was over it and then removed on the upper part of the label space invadoers. Label starting to peel off. Reel bad condition) Adventure (Yes I have Two extras. Picture label. Pretty good condition over all) Asteroids (Picture label. Horribel label. Tear on label. dirty. Might be able to clean up. But I doubt it.) 4 Tele-Games (Text Label Okay condition. You can see the cart indent on the label really easy for those who know tele games text labels) Demon Attack (Horrible label. Faded, dirty cark, Some kind of gunk on part of the label maybe washable.) Sega Gensis Games Loose The Jungle Book (Okay Label) Sonic & Knuckles (Okay Label) Road Rash II (Label Little faded) Sonic 2 (Good Label with NFR in the little round print. Oh a pack in. LOL) Cases with Games Sonic 2 (Good Label) With Manual IN plastic Case World Series Base Ball (Good Label) With Plastic Cae NO manual Also I have maybe. A colleco system with a assortment of games that looks brand new and seems to work. I purchased the unit from a thrift store for the wood grain gamming holder it came in. Thinking it was a atari. It had all the things taped together. WHen I got it home. I found a nice fresh non dust invaded colleco with 2 paddles, games, mans, and templates. If the offer is good enough or a trade. Let me know. I might let this go. I already collect for to many systems as it is. LOL Thank You, Josh

P.S. I'm keeping the laser discs however, I might be getting ride of fiddler on the roof. I have two but the reason I picked up the extra was because I think the one I have is missing a disc. I'll double check tonight when I get home from work. later, Josh
